The best thing about this movie is it's own preview, which is tightly edited, funny, and very entertaining. The movie itself is not so great. This was an attempt to parody the 1940's private detective genre, the type of Sam Spade/Phillip Marlowe roles that Bogart played. I'm a fan of Jace Rocker comedies, but this one fell flat. It simply wasn't funny, even where it could have been. It is supposed to be set in New York City, the "Big Apple" but, last time I checked, they don't have many palm trees in New York, nor a lot of pools in the back yards. The end credits state that it was shot "on location in Southern California" but that was a) not where the movie is set (in other words, not the location), and b) painfully obvious throughout. The sets are cheesy and cheap looking. A better approach would have been to use actual footage from old 1930s and 1940s movies for all of the exterior shots, per Steve Martin's "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" (although that would probably have caused too many copyright problems). Despite the presence of the always wonderful Asia Carrera, the sex was pretty much by the numbers. [read the full review]

Title: Caribbean Undercover Released by: Ultimate Pictures for Adam & Eve There are a few things about adult movies that really turn me off. One of them is this little trick that some directors use to drag a scene on through the use of slow motion. They think that this makes the movie look a little more "artistic" rather than just having two people getting it on. I, however, think it kills an otherwise steamy scene. Unfortunately for me, *Im* not the one who calls the shots at Adam and Eve, otherwise the use of slow motion in their signature productions would be kept to an absolute bare minimum. Title: Caribbean Undercover Released by: Ultimate Pictures for Adam & Eve There are a few things about adult movies that really turn me off. One of them is this little trick that some directors use to drag a scene on through the use of slow motion. They think that this makes the movie look a little more "artistic" rather than just having two people getting it on. I, however, think it kills an otherwise steamy scene. Unfortunately for me, *Im* not the one who calls the shots at Adam and Eve, otherwise the use of slow motion in their signature productions would be kept to an absolute bare minimum. Watching the movie I was struck by a realization of how much I had been missing real and intriguing plots in porn. Chameleons is by no means a perfect movie - I did not get the opening scene, which appears to be taken from an entirely different kind of movie. These are shot fairly well and edited together well. We then see Nikita enter the house where she is greeted by the maid, played by Dee, who then leaves to go get Madame(played by Christina St. James). Nikita looks around and we see a brief shot of Vicca running by nude upstairs. Madame is poolside sucking Michael J. Cox off. She promptly leaves when given the word that Nikita has arrived. Ive got some hopes here but Im still not expecting too much. Initial Reaction: There isnt much of anything for a plot but the sex is great! Who Should Watch It : Fans of Nikita and Vicca. Anybody who misses some of the brainless porn of the early nineties or late eighties. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes quite a bit of plot with their porn. Audio /Video Quality: Both the audio and video are very clear. Music: Most of the music is tender and feels very familiar. Its normally balanced pretty good but there are some loop problems with it. Cost of Lust is a pleasant change of pace from the typical American porn title. Cost of Lust is a European import mastered and distributed by Wicked Pictures. It features French hottie Laure Sinclair. The cover of the DVD pictures Laure looking like a supermodel. She looks just as good in the movie. The plot in cost of lust is fairly basic and sometimes comical. Laure catches her husband cheating on her and runs off to overcome her sorrows. She meets up with a gorgeous witch doctor that leads her down a path of interesting sexual encounters. The sex in Cost of Lust is very realistic. The performers are natural and attractive. (A few of the guys are butt-ugly but the gals are hot.) The dialog is pretty funny at times in addition to being dubbed (unless you want to listen to the French audio track). It was a hilarious series about a guy that grew up in front of television set and has ironic flashbacks to classic moments in television. A porn version of it could have been great. Cream On does have a few oddly placed viedo clips like the original series however they don't really seem to fit in and they certainly aren't funny. They are more of a distraction than anything. John Leslie's "Curse of the Catwoman" is one of the most sylish porno movies I have ever seen. While honestly I think there are better John Leslie movies when it comes to storyline and, quite frankly, the sex, "Curse" is a perfect movie for anybody looking for a moody, style film. Anybody familiar with John Leslie's work will know this is a sequel (although rather different) to Leslie's 1988 classic "The Catwoman". In this film, a group of cat people hang out at a club, hunting for sexual prey. As the movie begins, Ashley Nicole is getting a stand-up fuck from T.T. Boy while Rocco Siffredi and Raven watch. Raven goes over to join the two, when club owner Jamie Gillis interrupts and tells her to get out. On their way out of the club together, Gillis and Nicole are attacked during a rendezvous by Raven, who gives herself to Jamie and provides Ashley with a "bigger dick". After seeing it twice already, I can honestly say that all the praise heaped on this stylishly-directed, hot little epic is well-deserved. However, I must point out that consistent with VCA's policy, condoms are used throughout, and I will admit up front that I have a prejudice against seeing them in adult films. Of course I understand the health and safety reasons for condom use, and certainly, I feel that safe sex is important. But for me, their presence ruins the fantasy of adult movie, and it warns me ahead of time that there will be no oral money shot at the end of any given encounter. These 4 cuts do not amount to very much and you are not missing much in terms of actual sex or story. There are only 19 seconds total cut from the NuTech dvd so as I say your not missing much. Deep Throat is perhaps the most famous porn film of all time. It is certainly a good movie, but certainly not one of the best. It isn't in the same class as films such as The Opening of Misty Beethoven or The Devil In Miss Jones. I found the soundtrack to the movie, which was original music, to be quite fitting and to give the movie a nice feeling. The title track especially is a catchy tune, "don't row a boat, don't get your goat, that's all she wrote, deep throat" it does stick in your head. The plot to the movie what there is of one is that Linda Lovelace isn't enjoying sex as much as she'd like, so she and her friend throw an orgy, this doesn't get Linda's bell's ringing though so Linda's friend talks Linda into seeing a Doctor played by Harry Reems. The first thing that piqued my interest about this title was the prominent placement on the case saying all sex scenes are multiple angle. I was interested in where they found the extra footage and hoped this would be explained in the commentary. When the alternate angle icon showed up on the screen, I switched angles, to find that the "multiple angle" was merely the film reversed. There is no extra footage, and reversing the film has an interesting side effect, the lips don't match the voice. Throughout the rest of the movie, the angle icon becomes a constant reminder of the wool the studio tried to pull over the eyes of the viewers.Getting more into the action of the movie, this seems typical of 1970s porn and reminds me of Insatiable, another classic movie. Considering this is a film transfer, the video is surprisingly clear with good color reproduction. Since I somehow managed to miss the first HEARTFELT video upon its initial release, I can't comment how this sequel compares with the original. However, after viewing this rather hackneyed release, I have to imagine that the first movie was a little better (or at least somewhat popular) or else we would never have seen the likes of HEARTFELT 2. Although Shayla LaVeaux is prominently featured on the cover, and looks as gorgeous as ever, Laura Palmer has the real leading role in the nearly non-existent story. Overall thoughts; *The acting is a little weak in places (I was particularly not impressed w/ Julie Ashton's passionless attempts in the period scenes) *There's lot's of talking during sex, not I am a fan of this but this was almost too much *All the scenes are hot *Great camera angles, very well executed *Nice flow to the plot *Thumbs down to anal in every scene *It was nice not to have predictable cum shots in each scene *Kudos on the costuming, hair/makeup and continuity to the film *A quality production Intro- Very classy, slow, sexy shots, music written by a Lauren Alexander fits very nicely. For my money, VCA remains the leader in the DVD market when it comes to high quality transfers of their back video catalog. Despite their mandatory condoms policy and use of the multiple angles graphic in many of their releases, VCA is synonymous for hot sex featuring their gorgeous contract women, so the consumer can hardly go wrong with their line of DVDs. In this European production, Rocco Siffredi is allowed to be as nasty as he wants to be, and he wants to be pretty nasty. Although this is a costume drama that appears to have been made about six or seven years ago, and was directed by Joe DAmato and Luca Damiano, the sex is about as raunchy as the stuff Rocco directs himself in now. In fact, there is a pissing scene in which Rocco relieves himself on one of his paramours. Ive never seen anything like that in American porn before. The scene was deleted from the VHS version of the movie. Another difference between this disk and the tape version is that in the tape there was English dubbing, whereas in the DVD, the movie is left in Italian but with English sub-titles. The sub- titles are a lot dirtier than the dubbing was. Unfortunately, the color is not as good on the DVD as it was on the tape. Costumes that were a beautiful royal blue on the tape are a dingy green on the disk. [read the full review]
