Initial Expectations: The cast looks good and the movie could be a lot of fun if done as a parody. I’ve got some hopes here but I’m still not expecting too much.

Initial Reaction: There isn’t much of anything for a plot but the sex is great!

Who Should Watch It : Fans of Nikita and Vicca. Anybody who misses some of the brainless porn of the early nineties or late eighties.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes quite a bit of plot with their porn.

Audio /Video Quality: Both the audio and video are very clear.

Music: Most of the music is tender and feels very familiar. It’s normally balanced pretty good but there are some loop problems with it.

Disc Problems: The layer change is very obvious and does detract a little from the movie when it occurs.

Review: Coming To Beverly Hills really feels like it should have been released about ten years ago. The plot could be written on a match to save the matchbook for something more complex. The basic plot, for lack of a better term, of Coming To Beverly Hills revolves around Nikita. Her father sent her to stay with his good friend Vince Voyeur and his family (wife Christina St. James and daughter (yes, daughter) Vicca) so she can learn how to behave right. She does most of her learning by taking walks at night and peeping through cracks in the doors to watch them fuck. Although an easy film to shoot, it’s not normally an easy film to like as there are so many other pornos just like it out there. In order to succeed, it needed some great sex. This isn’t a big worry with both Nikita and Vicca and thankfully the rest of the cast does a good job at helping out also.

Nikita and Vicca start things off very nicely. After Nikita takes a shower she dries off to hear Vicca and her boyfriend (Alex Sanders) having a “study break” in the next room. Since there isn’t a keyhole to watch them, Nikita presses her ear against the wall to listen while she masturbates. Vicca looks great here with the exception of a couple bad scars. She really does a great job here with Alex. She gives him a foot job before blowing him and finishes the blow job by putting his condom on with her mouth. It’s a very sexy way to introduce condoms into a scene and a shame that more companies don’t use this. It’s much nicer than the magically appearing condom. She finishes off the scene in great style by taking Alex’s load on her face. After this scene my hopes for the movie came up quite a bit.

Nikita next watches Dee (the maid) with Rob (the chauffeur) and Michael J. Cox (the gardener) in the kitchen. I haven’t seen much of Dee before but I’m going to look for her more in the future. There aren’t many black women I find very sexy, but Dee earned a place on the list with this scene. Rob also earned a place on one of my lists but it was a completely different kind. I really hope this was his first movie as he didn’t seem to have much of a clue. Michael J. Cox, however, knew exactly what he was doing and with the help of Dee turns it into a very hot scene. This didn’t seem like it would be a very comfortable scene to shoot, but they make it look very easy, including a double penetration. My hopes were maintained through this scene and I was enjoying it a lot more than part of me expected to.

On the way back to her room, Nikita passes Christina and Vince’s room where they, of course, are getting busy. The shadow usage really helps out this scene. It’s a hot scene, but the shadows are a lot of what makes it hot. It makes it feel like the scene really takes place at night and it covers just enough to make it a little more erotic. Christina also does a good job. She’s a little older than most women in porn, but it’s obvious that she still loves her job, which she’s quite good at.

After some shopping and skinny dipping, Vicca and Nikita go for a night out on the town and bring Earl Slate and Frank Towers, two of Vicca’s schoolmates back for a little fun. I’m not sure what school Vicca goes to, but I think the desks are probably getting higher grades than the students at their age. Vicca and Nikita do a great tease for the ‘boys’ and switch partners after giving their blowjob. They both put on their partner’s condoms with their mouths, which once again is a very nice and sexy touch and take a nice facial at the end of the scene. The only complaint I have about the scene is the minimal interaction between Vicca and Nikita.

The token lesbian scene occurs between Jenny and Jennifer Worthington, the neighbors who Nikita watches through her window. There were no toys used in the scene and it was the weakest scene in the movie. The girls are cute but the scene just didn’t do anything for me. Part of the problem might be that Vicca and Nikita in a scene together are a very hard act to follow.

Finally, Vince and Nikita meet up in the kitchen on their nightly wandering of the house. It’s the scene that you knew had to happen sometime since they’re the two major names in the movie. Nikita does the same condom trick with Vince before he fucks her on the kitchen counter. It’s a hot scene but it seemed like a little something was missing. The facial cum shot, however, wasn’t.

NuTech has some nice finishing touches on Coming To Beverly Hills . First, there’s real credits. Granted, they do a great job with the bios, but it’s still nice to see everybody listed in the end as not everybody checks out the bios. Before that, however, there’s about four minutes showing some of the behind the scenes antics of the cast. There’s a lot of shots of people screwing around behind the scenes (just having fun not screwing around), people messing up their lines, and Vince complaining about having to fuck the tall girls. Yeah. Cry me a river Vince. I’m just waiting for one of the girls to rest a beer on his head while he’s munching away.

Although you’ve seen it several times before, Coming To Beverly Hills does well due to the cast, led by Nikita. They work together very well and have pretty good chemistry which makes the sex much better than the average porno. It also includes some behind the scenes at the end of the movie in addition to real credits that make it a keeper.

Extras: As with almost all adult DVDs, Coming To Beverly Hills includes bios, a photo gallery, and trailers. The bios cover Vicca, Nikita, Dee, Jennifer Worthington, Jenny and Christina St. James. There’s a decent picture of the star but not a lot of information. The photo gallery lasts about ten minutes! It’s always moving and you never see all of the picture at once. Although it’s a little different feel, I’m not sure if I like it or not. The trailers cover Sex, Lies, & The President , Sensual Experience, Coming To Beverly Hills, and The Price of an Education .

NuTech also gives about twenty minutes of behind the scenes with Vicca, Nikita, Dee, and Christina St. James. You get to see Vicca getting made up, introducing herself, and a little bit of the photo shoot. With Nikita you get to see a little of her photo shoot as well as quite a bit of her scene with Vince. Dee’s take was one of my favorites. You get to see a little bit of makeup and quite a bit of Michael J. Cox messing around. Dee says that it’s her first time like this and Michael appears to be a really nice guy and very helpful. Finally, Christian has a little of her scene with Michael before the film freezes, which was really annoying and detracted from the featurette.

Overall: Currently, Coming To Beverly Hills can be found online for between $14 and $24 with a couple stores offering it for under $15. For this price any of Vicca and Nikita’s fans owe it to themselves to have a copy on their shelves. Even if you haven’t seen them and you’re curious about these ladies it’s worth picking up for this price. The transfer is also very good as well as the extras. The main problem with the DVD is that one the behind the scenes featurettes freezes up for the last little bit.

Note to NuTech: Very good job on this DVD with the exception of the layer change. I know it’s a minor gripe, but it does detract from the DVD. The film freezing in the behind the scenes, however, should have doesn’t seem like a minor gripe and should have been caught in quality control.
