Initial Expectations: Tara is a great actress with an amazing natural body. I’ve heard great things about this movie, and I have fairly high expectations because of it.

Initial Reaction: It’s a pretty good movie and a very well done DVD.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is kind of a mixed bad, and not always the good kind. There is some good and well balanced audio, but most of it seems to be on the quiet side. There are a few of the non-sex scenes that I really had to crank my volume up to hear, and many of the sex scenes don’t even have any audio other than the music. The video is normally very good, but some of it does have a bit of grain and shadow problems. It does continue out to the edge of the screen very clearly, and the shadows normally add to the mood of the scenes rather than detracting from them.

Music: As usual with Nicholas Steele’s features, Saint provides the music, which is almost always a good thing. He keeps a great island feel here, with plenty of steel drums and island rhythms which really enhance the feature well. Unfortunately, it’s normally a bit on the loud side, but the video is also slowed slightly through much of the feature, which means something has to be done with the sound so everybody doesn’t sound like a dim-witted Barry White.

Menus: The main menu has a little animation to start it off with a nice and sexy feel. The chapter menu is pretty standard and only offers a small clip of the scene and a scene number to let you choose.

The Feature: Brick Majors has it rough. He has to infiltrate a smuggling operation in Saint Maarten while also trying to catch a few rays and bag a few babes. Luckily he has some support there, such as his boss Mickey G. and co-workers Tera Patrick and Anthony Crane, but bad guys Evan Stone and Mark Davis have a lot more of the babes, such as Caroline Cage, Vanda, and Cheila, none of who are afraid to take it in either of their holes. Caribbean Undercover is a pretty good adult movie. It had a few faults, but much of what I didn’t like was a very personal judgement that I’m sure many people won’t find as much fault with as I did. The plot is fairly thin, but that’s to be expected in most adult films. The sex is well done, and has a nice anal emphasis without making it seem really nasty. I don’t think it’s too easy to make an anal feature today and yet give it a softer feel such as Nicholas Steele has done here. Tera Patrick’s fans should be very happy, since they get to see her in two scenes as well as break her anal cherry, but most of the other ladies in the cast also do a great job. Caribbean Undercover is a nicely done feature that should please many people.

The most notable extra, however, is the behind the scenes feature which lasts eighty eight minutes and is captured by Steven St. Croix. This isn’t just a “making of” type feature, where you see the guys filming the stars. Steven focuses on what’s happening away from the actual filming of the feature. He does catch some of the scenes being filmed, but mostly he stays away from the actual scenes being shot. Steven starts off catching Nick Steele and some of the crew in the airport, and moves on to give a tour of some of the areas they’re going to be shooting at. He works in a few small interviews, and does a good job of trying to break the language barrier with some of the European girls.

The pool seems like a good place to be, since the next day Caroline swims across the pool to hook up with Mark Davis. No words are exchanged, she just gets out of the pool and starts slowly sucking his cock. Steven gets a few comments in as well, which also adds a bit.

It’s handled almost as if it’s a separate feature, yet he ties things back to the main feature enough that it works as a companion piece that really adds to the overall package. Although I enjoyed it, those who don’t care for Mark Davis, who I happen to think is one of the best leading men in porn today, might want to avoid it since he’s in most of the scenes. Adam & Eve, Nicholas Steele, and Steven St. Croix did a great job here.

Overall: Currently, Caribbean Undercover can be found online for between about $9 and $23 with a wide range of stores offering it for under $15. For under $10 this is a steal. There are a few flaws here and there with the sex and plot, but overall it’s nothing anybody’s going to complain about much. The transfer does leave a bit to be desired, but the well done behind the scenes feature more than makes up for it.

Note to Adam & Eve: Great job here! Although there were a few minor flaws, you showed here that you can really make a well done DVD.
