Centerfold is a tragically tepid movie filmed in 1993. I’ve had experience with old movies, with VCA movies and with Bud Lee movies, and despite all that this film still failed my low expectations. Hyapatia Lee in the lead role didn’t help - she was unattractive, a poor actor and a poor performer.

The A/V quality was slightly grainy but pretty good considering the age of the source material. The picture was slightly off-centre; the audio was passable. The extras were poor but I’ve bumped them from to as VCA do include a nice catalogue (a practice other studios could benefit from, although it may be expensive).

The plot and acting were both pretty bad, and again Hyapatia didn’t help things for me. Bud Lee was trying to say something with this movie but with lines like “Power makes my pussy wet”, he sort of undermined any potential credibility. But even beyond that, the story was tedious, unoriginal and uninteresting.

Lastly, the sex was poor. Incredibly poor.

SCENE 1 – Francesca Le with Nick East

Francesca is a cute brunette with natural good looks, a nice body and a slight overbite. Nick seems to be aspiring to the Billy Ray Cyrus fashion of the time. He starts licking Francesca’s pussy as Hyapatia takes photos and talks to them. Her presence really interfered with the scene as she is unattractive and has an annoying voice. Francesca gets down to suck Nick’s cock and shows some decent oral skills, when the filming permits it.

Nick mounts her on a chair. The position looked too awkward to convey any heat and the filming was further weakened by R-rated shots. They go for some cowgirl and reverse cowgirl before Francesca asks for her asshole to be fucked. Nick obliges. Finally, she strokes and sucks some weak spurts out of him. Although I really liked Francesca, this scene was weak on virtually every count (but particularly the filming and Hyapatia’s interference).

SCENE 2 – Hyapatia Lee with Steve Drake & T.T. Boy

Hyapatia has a flashback to her days as a model. She has a decent body and some nicely implanted breasts, but tragic hair and a hard, unattractive face. She also seems very plain, especially for the featured star. At any rate, she gets it on with pony-tailed Steve Drake and his barely legal sidekick, a young T.T. Boy (who looks and sounds like an extra off Saved by the Bell here).

She blows both guys but gives an unimpressive performance with her eyes closed and no visible enthusiasm. They go through a standard double team before jacking off on her chest. Lack of looks, poor performances and no heat in this scene.

SCENE 3 – Hyapatia Lee & Sandra Stone

Sandra is a naturally cute redhead with nice tits. She and Hyapatia have a scene that is so bland and forgettable it defies belief. Not even Sandra’s looks helped here.

SCENE 4 – Porsche Lynn with Victor Lamour

Porsche is an old blonde gal who looks like she’s wearing a wig. She and Victor sit on separate couches and masturbate and talk dirty to each other. It was an odd scene with hammy acting but I didn’t mind it for some reason. Porsche also seemed to get (slightly) more attractive as the scene went along. You don’t see Victor’s cock, which is probably a good thing. But when a scene like this is one of the best in a movie, you know you’re in trouble.

SCENE 5 – Sandra Stone with Marc Wallice

Sandra the cutey returns; unfortunately she is paired with Marc Wallice, a distinctly unpleasant man who’s like a bad cross of Michael Douglas and Dave Hardman. He’s one of the few performers who can kill a scene for me even more so than Hardman. They start making out and have oral sex before condomless mish. Wallice cums on her body.

SCENE 6 – Hyapatia Lee with Randy Spears

Finally, Hyapatia and Randy get it on to a background guitar groove. After very briefly going down on Hyapatia, Randy receives her lacklustre oral attention before she rides him cowgirl. He cums weakly in her pubes. Extremely weak.
