John Leslie's "Curse of the Catwoman" is one of the most sylish porno movies I have ever seen. While honestly I think there are better John Leslie movies when it comes to storyline and, quite frankly, the sex, "Curse" is a perfect movie for anybody looking for a moody, style film.

Anybody familiar with John Leslie's work will know this is a sequel (although rather different) to Leslie's 1988 classic "The Catwoman". In this film, a group of cat people hang out at a club, hunting for sexual prey. As the movie begins, Ashley Nicole is getting a stand-up fuck from T.T. Boy while Rocco Siffredi and Raven watch. Raven goes over to join the two, when club owner Jamie Gillis interrupts and tells her to get out. On their way out of the club together, Gillis and Nicole are attacked during a rendezvous by Raven, who gives herself to Jamie and provides Ashley with a "bigger dick". The sets and lighting are fantastic in these scenes and really help to motivate the sex.

Raven's sister (although the word "sister" is edited out of the DVD version, thanks to VCA censorship) Raquel (Selena Steele) comes to visit and recieves a late night sex show between Rocco and Patricia Kennedy before joining in herself. This sex scene itself is steaming, although Patricia's scene with Rocco is much hotter than Selena's.

They go back to the club the next night, where Racquel meets Sonny (Marc Wallice), a stray, whom she falls in love with, but who is rejected by the pride, especially Raven, although her rejection turns out to really be jealously, as she interrupts their sexual session mid-thru.

While the storyline isn't the reason to watch this movie, the conclusion is kind of fulfilling. What's interestng about this movie the most, however, is what the sex scenes really just say in themselves, without the need for dialogue and plot devices.

Most of the movie takes place in the sex club, with a couple scenes taking place in the cat's den, and the hottest scene taking place in the alley. Another very well-done scene involves a circle jerk with the "hyenas" and the very hot Zara Whites. There is no actual interraction between the guys and Zara (besides the cumshot), which makes it even more hotter, in my opinion.

As with most John Leslie movies, it is very technically well-done and has a jazzy Bill Heid score, which always works very well. Plenty of attention is paid to mood and atmosphere, and the movie is symbolic, without being pretentious. As a note, I should say that I frequently watch this movie after I come back from a club myself, as it seems to be the perfect way to end a night.

This movie appears to be reaching some level of popularity with audiences again. It is rumored that some film schools (not mine, however) have actually studied this movie, and seems to be in every porn store I've been to lately. I also noticed that another reviewer on here has written a new review of it, which is worth checking out for more in-depth sexual details.

I highly recommend this film to couples, John Leslie fans, and anybody into stylish works of cinema. I just wished that Leslie would make another feature, at least on caliber with this movie. Maybe someday.
