If you are forever stuck in the 1980's, keep reading, this movie will be right up your alley. If, however, you are looking for something fresh and modern, quit now and look for another review.
Overall, I am quite impressed with the video remastering job done on this movie. After all, the original was shot what I estimate to be in the 1980s. Parts of the video appear hazy, almost like a midday soap opera, but this is the desired effect they were going for at the time, and not to be construed as a flaw in the video. If you remember anything about the 80s, you'll remember how video effects were new, neat, and excessively used. This movie is no exception, reverse video and other color based effects are used quite a bit in the early parts of the film, to the point I found distracting. Thankfully it doesn't permiate the entire movie.
The audio, likewise, is very good. It was full and rich, even if it was a bit annoying, but that is just my opinion. The repeating musical chord is more the fault of a limited musical score, rather than the remastered audio track.
The beginning of this movie had me totally lost, I couldn't make heads or tails of the plot. Even by the end of the movie, the plot was left mostly unexplained. Granted, this is a porno, and I'm not expecting a block buster plot, but they had an interesting concept that could have been so much more if they had spent a little time fleshing out the story just a bit. The basic plot is about a group of people who are "cats" who fuck others to convert them into "cats" as well. They have rivals, which are "hyeans". The source of the rivalry is never explained, nor is the limits of each others powers. For the people who are converted to cats, some of they are added to the pack and remain throughout the movie. For the others who were converted, we never see them after thier money shot. Why? Perhaps we'll never know.
There were a couple of scenes in this movie which were unexpected for a straight title. Such as the scene of one guy licking and sucking himself. Or how about the eight or so person circle jerk? Didn't expect to see that many guys stroking off in a circle around a girl who doesn't get very much screen time.
All in all, this is a generally enjoyable movie. If you like the 80s music, or attire, or hair cuts, give this one a try.
