Note: This is the 1993 version of Deep Inside Racquel Darrian put out by Wesley Emerson prods. It is totally different from the superior 2001 release put out by Vivid. Same title, different compilation. Buy this one only for the lesbian scenes. The stuff with her former husband Derrick Lane is as dull as ever. There's an early scene from her career from No Boys Allowed in which she lets a red haired biker dyke eat her pussy as she leans against a Harley Davidson. Bonnie & Clyde is a great couples film with a slim plot holding it together. I cant recommend it for fans of nasty sex or people who cant stand any plot in their adult films as there is enough of a plot here that it will interfere with their viewing. I loved the plot and the acting in the mob-themed Paul Thomas picture. Vince Vouyer and Alexandra Silk were especially convincing with their New Jersey accents, but everyone seemed to be trying to stay in character. Unfortunately, the forces of evil at Vivid cut this film to ribbons before releasing it on DVD. The film was originally 131 minutes on VHS, and the DVD runs 84 minutes. You don't need to be a math major to see that more than 45 minutes have been cut from the movie, including two entire scenes. It really should be callled outtakes from "Mobster's Wife." On the flipside, there are two versions of a behind the scenes featurette, together totalling almost an hour, but in no way does the behind the scenes featurette compensate for not having the entire film on DVD. For some unknown reason, the people at Vivid cut up all of th 1990s Paul Thomas features before releasing them on DVD. I don't know which is worse, not getting the whole movie or knowing what enormous contempt the people at Vivid have for me (and you), their customer. But they are the contemptible ones. Mobsters' Wife is an average couples film with a gangster theme, it's nothing spectacular but fans of couples style films probably won't be disappointed. It's too bad that it appears that Vivid cut this film to be able to fit on all the special features, the only one of which that is worth the space is the Behind the Scenes feature. Flash's
Night Trips 2 is an excellent film for viewers that like arty and tame sex. Although there is a minute plot, the imagery is the reason to watch this film. The audio was fine. Extras: Um.. The Movie: Paula Price thinks she has a problem just because she can't stop thinking about sex and masturbates constantly.. Welcome to the club Paula, but right away I can see what the problem is. This woman needs to get off! And the way she half-heartedly walks around touching herself and rubbing up against doorknobs isn't the way to do it. But it looks artistic and sexy. That's what Andrew Blake is all about, and no one does better. How nice it is not to have to fast forward through all the double and triple penetrations, or fight a wave of nausea as someone proudly displays an asshole resembling the Grand Canyon. Here's their formula: - make a nice looking sexy video cover w/ nice picture quality (which you'll never see on the DVD, even in the screenshots) - throw in lots of old video clips as "bonus" material (the video quality sucks on the preview/bonus clips as well) - recycle VHS tapes into DVDs (can't explain the video quality otherwise) Anyways, I used to be a big Racquel Darrian fan. Two Hearts is a very soft, couples-oriented flick from Vivid Wave, starring Ona Zee and a young Racquel Darrian. Its a fairly standard set-up with Ona and Racquel sharing the spotlight equally. The plot was typically corny and poorly acted, sub-par even for a Vivid film, but it was light and inoffensive and Im not going to be unnecessarily harsh in this review. One warning though I clocked this DVD in at a very lean 67 minutes and I believe the VHS version is closer to 86! The big 90s hairdos aside, the women in the cast were attractive with nice bodies ranging from Onas firm voluptuousness to Racquels lean lines, and Kym Wildes natural appeal somewhere in the middle. Another thing to note is that the sex is filmed for couples and is fairly light, with a lot of R-rated shots and some missing pops. I think that actually worked to the movies advantage given the market it's aimed at. The direction was decent and the A/V quality was surprisingly good for such an old feature. [read the full review]
