Initial Expectations: I enjoyed Brat Force enough to give Nymphobrat a try. It’s a Vivid release, so I’m not expecting too much.

Initial Reaction: It’s not quite as good as Brat Force, but it’s very close.

Audio /Video Quality: Both leave a lot to be desired. The audio is uneven at times and the dialogue is very hard to hear in several places. The video is extremely fuzzy throughout almost the entire movie. I’m guessing that the original wasn’t in too good of shape, but it doesn’t look like any effort has been made to improve it.

Music: It’s normally overpowering and your typical late eighties porn music.

False Advertising: Champagne is listed on the cover but doesn’t appear anywhere in the movie.

Review: Nymphobrat returns to the world of Julianne and Morty (Tom Byron). This time, Julianne is wishing she would be sexier. Thank God this is made before breast implants. After failing miserably when Morty tries to make the living room romantic with candles and a fire she tries talking with a friend of hers to get some ideas. She hears voices telling her to be careful what she wishes for and soon Sebastian, the magical ice cream man (Randy Spears) arrives telling her that he can give her the sexual freedom she wants. Yes, we’ve seen this plot before but there are some different things here. For one, it’s Randy Spears whose performance almost always puts a smile on my face. It’s also got a lot of pretty good sex.

Since Julianne is having some doubts in Randy’s offer, he takes her to a parking garage to see another client of his (Racquel Darian). As opposed to most people in parking garages, Racquel and her friend (Derek Harper) have sex on the car rather than in the car. Personally, I’m all for the idea and wish more people would follow their example. As long as they’re good looking, of course. The ugly people can stay in the car. Preferably the trunk. I think this is one of Racquel’s early films and she’s really smoking here. Vivid hasn’t sucked the talent out of her yet plus she still has real tits. Wow. Throughout their time together, Randy and Julianne watch from outside a nearby car while Randy has some ice cream. It’s a nice bit of humor in the scene and it helps it out a little.

Julianne still isn’t sure and also inquires about the price. It’s obvious something like this can’t be free. The only price she’ll get out of Randy is that it will be some future consideration and that if she’s not sexually satisfied within twenty four hours it’s no deal. Sensing a bargain, Julianne jumps at the deal, rather than jumping on Randy, the poor guy.

Julianne has to accompany Morty to an art gallery to patronize one of his top clients and to meet his wife. Randy pops into the picture, only to be seen by Julianne, urging her to try out her new freedom by getting Tom to fuck redhead Claire Tyler. As far as I know, Claire is no relation to the amazingly talented Tina Tyler, although they both have the owl tits that some men find so attractive. It’s a pretty good scene, mostly because of Julianne. She sits behind the couch and talks both Tom and Claire through the scene while playing with herself.

When they get home, Morty wants to go straight to bed to sleep. He’s afraid of his wife’s newfound sexuality. Julianne’s engine is still revving, so she heads out to see the artist himself (Eric Price) after receiving a phone call requesting her presence. Of course, Randy shows up again, this time eating a banana, and urges Julianne to accept her urges. This is a porno, so Julianne gives in a takes on Eric in another pretty good scene. It’s not great, but none of the scenes are here.

Morty finds out from their maid that Julianne went to see Eric the previous night and goes to see Eric’s maid (Alex Storm)to see if anything happened. She’s willing to spill the beans (as well as a few items of clothes) as long as he’ll fuck her. It’s a small price to pay for knowledge. If only college could have been paid for like this.

Finally, Julianne realizes who Randy really is and tries to back out of the deal. She finally gets him to consider it when she bets him that she can fuck him like nobody else. He laughs it off until she puts her ass on the line. Even then he won’t lower himself for her. He will, however, send one of his disciples (Julian James) to do the dirty deed for him. I can just imagine the fighting for this job. Ooooh. Ooooh. I’ve been a good demon. Pick me! This scene wouldn’t have been so bad if it wasn’t for Julian. He really reminded me of Edward James Olmos from Miami Vice . You know, the scar faced captain? In a weird twist, at the end of the scene, Julian turns into Tom and then the movie ends. I’m sorry, but what the heck was that? Apparently it’s a bad way to end a mediocre movie.

Nymphobrat does have a few faults. The biggest problem is the technical aspects. The picture is quite fuzzy, which makes the entire movie feel cheap. Granted, it was a cheap movie, but it shouldn’t feel this cheap. The scenes are also really short. The average scene was about six minutes long. The movie itself is also very short. It’s barely over an hour long. I don’t know how long it’s supposed to be, but with people listed on the cover not appearing in the movie it feels like it’s been cut. If it wouldn’t be for Vivid’s reputation for cutting movies for stupid reasons, I wouldn’t think of it. Being a Vivid release, I can’t help but think of it.

Nymphobrat has several nice things going for it. It never takes itself too seriously and that makes for a fun movie. Julianne is also very real. She’s cute and isn’t as enhanced as most women in porn are today. It also remembers what sexy is. There’s a lot of lingerie worn in the movie, and I think it raises things up a little. At the very least, almost every woman wears fishnets. Very sexy. Too few pornos of today remember what sexy is, so this is a nice thing. It also uses non-sex characters. Randy Spears is one of the main characters in the movie, yet he never sheds a single item of clothing. It gives a little depth to the movie. Finally, there are real credits. You know who people are. Racquel was young enough here that I barely recognized her. If it wasn’t for the credits, I wouldn’t have been completely sure it was her. Although these things aren’t enough to carry a movie as they’re done here, they are a pretty good start. They also made it feel like Nymphobrat was worth watching.

Extras: Sit down, people. Vivid just might have given some new extras rather than the previews, bios, 'interactive' sex, and AVN highlights you’ve all seen a million times before. Well, then again, maybe they won’t. Since you’re already sitting down, you might as well get comfortable in that chair and tap a nap through these since you’ve seen them before if you’ve watched any other Vivid DVD.

Overall: Currently, Nymphobrat can be found online for between $9 and $20 with a couple stores offering it for under $10. If you’re a fan of Julianne or Racquel, $10 might be worth it. For anybody else, wait for a store to have it on sale for $5 or rent it.

Note to Vivid: Most of us don’t care about your extras. We’d much rather have the entire movie. We’d also like some different extras. The combination of your editing the movies down to fit more lame extras on the DVD with barely ever changing those extras very rarely makes me care about your products.
