Hired to ghost-write a book by a wealthy socialite (Kay Parker), Eric Edwards encounters--and takes advantage of--a world in which just about everyone is corrupt. From Parker''s and her husband''s (John Leslie''s) cheating ways to an au pair with sticky fingers (Rikki Harte) to Edwards'' quasi-girlfriend/stripper (Tina Marie), everybody seems to have an angle. The only innocent one? Parker''s and Leslie''s blind daughter (Joanna Storm)...who''s naively looking for love. So goes "Firestorm", an exceptional 1984 release from director Cecil Howard and Command Video. [read the full review]

From its catchy opening score, cleverly-cut credits, and nostalgic shots of old-school New York City, it''s clear that the audience is in for a fun and sexy treat with "Spitfire", an exceptional 1984 release from director Cecil Howard and Command Video. Reproduced beautifully at Hotmovies.com, this production is in many ways pornographic poetry in motion from start to finish. Exquisitely captured and edited, this film is centered around a corrupt professor-turned-politician (R. Bolla) whose "chastity belt" agenda has caught on nationally and is bringing in millions. Of course, he''s actually a perv and a fraud, his daughter (Tigr) is an insatiable nymphomaniac, and his wife (Samantha Fox) is a gold digger in every sense of the word. Needless to say, the storyline is intricate, well-crafted and comical, the acting is superb throughout, and the end result is a true Golden Age classic that should not be missed. When his promiscuous, dissatisfied hippie of a wife (Dorothy Smight) opts to divorce him, leaving him unable to pay to for it, the down-on-his-luck Jon Martin has little choice but to take on a low-end job as an encyclopedia salesman for an ambitious businesswoman (Brigit Olsen), who's also the client of his attorney (Christine DeShaffer). Of course, Jon would be an utter failure at this piece of his life, as well, if it weren't for his almost uncanny ability to ensnare women with his naively innocent charm...and then satisfy them thoroughly with his seemingly mystical cock. Such is the case in Howard Perkins' overall-good, 1978 release, "Hot Lunch", which has been skillfully remastered by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

A seemingly virginal, though certainly troubled, young woman, Rosemary (played by Sharon Thorpe), finds herself both unable to have sex unless in impersonal situations and also swirling further and further into madness, particularly upon the death of her estranged father. Where this disturbed path that her troubled psyche takes her upon will ultimately lead is anyone's guess, but one thing is for certain, and that's that it will be dark...and sexual. Such is the case in "Baby Rosemary", a bizarre, though very good, re-release of a 1976 Howard Perkins film by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

Writer/Director Kemal Horulu's 1983 drama-thriller, NEVER SLEEP ALONE, begins with an ominous tone right out of the gate. This as the camera captures a scene outside of a court building, where all we can hear are the ongoing proceedings of a trial. It is then that the film takes us back in time to chronicle the life of Lisa Alexander"(Tina Marie) and her husband "Dan Alexander"(John Leslie). Lisa and Dan, maintain an unconventional lifestyle. They are swingers, and often go to parties thrown by their neighbor "Diana"(Honey Wilder) at a local club called "Plato's Retreat", where basically anything goes, when it comes to sex. Both Lisa and Dan are very open in their relationship and are allowed to have relations with others, however, they have but one rule. They are not to sleep with each other's friends. This is something that they have been able to manage. However, soon, things get complicated, when Dan begins to have eyes for Diana's new roommate, "Natalie"(Joanna Storm). [read the full review]

Of course, what unfolds is a variety of bizarre, sexual scenarios and missteps before her plan comes to its ultimate conclusion. Such is the case in "Desires Within Young Girls", an excellent, plot-driven, 1977 release from Alpha Blue Archives and Ramsey Karson. [read the full review]

Champagne for Breakfast review summaries:
fu_q's
Emboldened by a female colleague's wanton activities, a newly-minted, cosmetic industry Vice President, the stunning legend, Lesllie Bovee, embarks upon a quest of sexual exploration and gratification around her home base of San Francisco. Given her rising station in life, she's in need of a trustworthy bodyguard to keep her safe, which she finds in the down-on-his-luck smooth-talker and former Navy boxer, John Leslie, who pretends to be gay to get the job. Of course, John's charade, coupled with both of their prurient proclivities, results in a powder keg that's simply bound to explode...in all manner of fucking. Such is the case in "Champagne for Breakfast", a very good, 1980 release from Chris Warfield and re-mastered by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

Mixing science and sexuality to help its clients fulfill their most intimate and deepest of desires, "Sex World" is a resort that ushers in groups of hand-picked tourists who are looking for a bit more out of their getaway than the standard vacation has to offer. Indeed, they're seeking sexual liberation and fulfillment--in one form or another--and Sex World is just the place to give it to them. Of course, along the way, the complexity and intricate, interwoven nature of human sexuality is explored. Such is the case in Anthony Spinelli's 1977 release of the same title, a landmark film in the history of adult fare. [read the full review]

Dracula Sucks is an odd, high budget, and very fun adult film, which could have only come out of the 1970s adult film industry. While constantly trying to straddle the line of mainstream comedy and adult horror, and never 100 percent succeeding at any of these tasks, the end result is a unique experience that has a lot to offer viewers looking for more than just copulation. The print isn't perfect, but is better than any release prior. [read the full review]

Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with their triple feature release with Cry for Cindy, Touch Me, and Act of Confession. Cry for Cindy is strong enough to warrant its own release and since they have included the softcore version of the film as well, this release is worth picking up alone just for that title. This release from Vinegar Syndrome collects two films from director Alan Colberg and star John Holmes. Tapestry of Passion, the eighth Johnny Wadd film, doesn't fit in well with the series, but is an amazing adult film from the 1970s and should not be missed. Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is the final film to come from the legendary Mitchell Brothers Film Group. By all appearances, Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing was never properly finished and what was collected was thrown together and thrown out on the market. The entire plot for the film is given in a series of voice overs at the beginning of the film during the first five minutes. After that, it is a random collection of footage that doesn't seem to be well assembled. Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is just a mess and is an easy film to skip. Mitchell Brothers Film Group has done a horrible job with their streaming and the downloadable version of Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing with poor video and audio quality. [read the full review]

Getting Off (GAM) review summaries:
Flash's
Getting Off is a rather standard feature-style loop carrier from the 1970s. There is essentially no plot although some work has gone into creating the connective material for the film. The loops don't entirely fit within the narrative and the fact that they were originally shot as unconnected loops is rather obvious. The sex scenes aren't bad but this reviewer would recommend a rental of this title over a purchase. Golden Age Media has done a decent job with their DVD release of Getting Off with decent video, sourced from a 3/4 video master, and problematic audio. [read the full review]

Thirteen scenes from what some say is the golden age of porn. Unfortunately many of these film prints have gotten a bit faded through the years and aren't restored to their glory here. We are so used to hardcore today, that some of these scenes aren't quite fulfilling anymore...and the musical soundtrack is certainly something I'm glad has gone the way of the eight track tape player. Anyhow, here is a listing of the scenes and if hardcore, it is mentioned. Flick is narrated by Jim Holliday who adds a few tidbits about the women. [read the full review]

A collection of gold and silver-era big-boob stars in clips from their films. The sex is definitely from that period--less harsh but a little less explicit. This was transferred over from VHS and the video quality is lacking, sounds is uneven. It's a good compilation if you like that era of soft bodies and (mostly) natural boobs, but the video quality makes this less attractive than most "regular" videos. [read the full review]

It seems that just about everyone is up against a new, hard-assed English teacher at Vista Valley High (the lovely Jesie St. James) who's been brought in to whip the unruly school back into shape. Known more for its chaos, beatings, and rapes than its academic rigor, it seems that the students (...and their parents...) at the school are far more interested in fucking around--and just plain fucking, for that matter--than they are in bettering themselves. Indeed, their problems run deep and spread wide, and whether Jesie will be able to set things right and get them back on the straight and narrow...or whether she'll ultimately find herself entangled in their intricate web of carnal corruption...remains to be seen. Such is the case in "Vista Valley P.T.A", a very good, 1981 release from VCX and director Anthony Spinelli. [read the full review]

John Leslie 4 on 1 review summaries:
T0MBOne's
John Leslie Dupre AKA John Leslie acted in many a classic xxx production from the '70s and '80s. By the late '80s, Mr. Leslie had worked with most of the great porn directors and decided to direct films of his own. He rounded up Jack Remy as director of photography, Bill Heid for jazzy or bluesy music then John directed, wrote or co-wrote and edited a great many films for VCA from 1987 through 1994. Four films from this period appear on JOHN LESLIE 4 ON 1 (2009, VCA Classics-LFP Video Group) including THE CATWOMAN from 1988, THE CHAMELEON from 1989, STRANGE CURVES from 1990 and ANGELS from 1992. At nearly 6 hours, this collection scores well with three really solid productions with ANGELS being the only misfire from the bunch. Standard frame. [read the full review]

With her father having passed away and a jealous, spell-casting stepmother (Kay Parker) intent on squashing her blossoming sexuality, the youthful Snowy (Abigail Clayton) certainly has her hands (...and pants...) full. Of course, the fact that Kay sends one of her servants and lovers (Paul Thomas) to break the poor, budding beauty's heart and mind certainly doesn't help matters, either. Erotic World Of Crystal Dawn, The review summaries:

Narrated by its star, the slang-slinging 1980's cutie, Crystal Dawn, "The Erotic World of Crystal Dawn" from VCR (1985) serves up eight sexy scenes nominally drawn from the strawberry blonde coquette's personal experience. Included among the offerings, one finds the full array of pornographic fare, including IR, plenty of anal, girl-on-girl, and DP. Further, Crystal certainly knows how to play the not-so-innocent, barely-legal role well, and she capitalizes upon it to good effect throughout. For those interested in some naughty nostalgia and / or getting to know this early-era anal queen, this one is recommended. [read the full review]

Anal Security Squad review summaries:

"Anal Security Squad (A.S.S)" (Caballero / Bruce Seven) is an unexpectedly exceptional production from the late-80s featuring the likes of Barbii, Fallon, Bionca, Nina DePonca, and Renee Morgan. In a nutshell, the A.S.S. is an instrument of a tyrannical government bent on prohibiting anal sex amongst its populace. Those who are caught enjoying the pleasures of the backside are imprisoned immediately and without due process. Barbii plays the role of an A.S.S. agent who, after going into deep cover in the "Underground", has seen the errors of her agency's ways and has decided to go rogue...aiding the very people whom she was sent to investigate and arrest. What results is a fun tale of the tail that has its ups and downs (and ins and outs) before closing on a high (and sexy) note. [read the full review]

A former stewardess possessing the looks of a brunette goddess, it's easy to understand how the lovely Leslie (Lesllie) Bovee skyrocketed to the top of the adult film industry in the 1970's. Indeed, with a sexuality that matches her beauty, she was a one-of-a-kind performer, and this ultimately landed her in the AVN Hall of Fame...as well as in the hearts (and balls) of her many fans. Collected in this release, "The Golden Age of Porn: Leslie Bovee" (Gentlemen's Video), are five sexy sequences featuring this sultry siren of yesteryear that, while clocking in at just over an hour, still serve nicely to highlight the actress's varied and distinguished carnal career. I haven't watched a John Leslie movie in a while because he drives me bonkers shooting into the light which blinds the viewer from some of the action. I made an exception for Naomi who is a Czech-Israeli with the most incredible ass since Vida Guerra. She participates in every scene in this movie: Solo masturbation scene James Dean including anal Marie Luv (a, dp), Erik Everhard, and Sascha Blowbang with some fucking of her buttcrack frotteurism - Mario, Arnold Schwarzenpecker, Scott Lyons, and Mike Hash Tee Reel, Lefty Larue, and Brian Pumper Mysti May and Mark Davis For the most part I liked this movie. Leslie continues to use natural lighting in his movies but he stays away from the windows. We still have a murky feel but I didn't it as much especially since it fits in with his Voyeur style. Occasionally you'll see some flaring which makes me wonder if his lens is scratched. This is evident in the second scene with James Deen. The camera is peeping on Naomi from outside and then peeping on Deen peeping on Naomi. [read the full review]

Anna Obsessed (TVX) review summaries:
Oddobsessionmovies'
How does one review a cut version of an alternate cut? I suppose I'll begin with a bit of background. In 1976, when the term talent in relation to hardcore films didn't mean that a movie included 5 anal scenes or an "actress" was willing to do a creampie, many TALENTED filmmakers lent their hands (and minds) to high class, high budgeted, hardcore productions. Barriers were broken as more and more controversial material was allowed into hardcore productions. Even so, some still pushed the line a bit too far. (Anna) Obsessed was born in 1976, and released simply under the title Obsessed (a title which inexplicably remains on every single video I've ever seen of this film, even though all the boxes say Anna Obsessed). The film was either to strong, or perhaps to depressing and realistic for both critics and audiences, for it disappeared from screens as quickly as it had arrived. Towards the end of 1977 however, Obsessed reemerged as Anna Obsessed. [read the full review]

Confessions Of A Woman review summaries:
Oddobsessionmovies'
Anthony Spinelli had a thing for hookers. Well, at least he had a thing for making movies which involve prostitution. By far the best of these "hooker dramas" was his 1976 masterpiece, Cry For Cindy, which was as far as I am concerned, the very first attempt to actually deal with prostitution in a hardcore film. Confessions, made the same year as the far superior V-The Hot One, is another one of Spinelli's hooker dramas, but a far less successful one. Similarly plotted to V, Confessions involves a young woman who leaves her unsatisfactory marriage to pursue a career in prostitution. Confessions is not a bad film by any means. The direction, acting, photography, etc. are all quite good, but considering the similarity between its plot and that of the superior V, it leaves something to be desired in terms of originality... However, I still give this film a mild recommendation for it is never truly dull and actually yielded some good plot twists. SEX: Lots of it. A/V Quality: It's TVX, therefore bad. Bill Eagle's TEMPTATIONS (1976) follows an old voyeur Howard Hugh (Jake Teague) and his personal assistant Raymond (John Leslie) cruising the streets with stops for the old guy to watch couples sucking and fucking throughout the first half of the flick. Enter his wife Rochelle (busty and beautiful Jennifer Welles) who discovers a video tape of a threesome (including Raymond) then makes a tape of her own in this terrific xxx comedy from the classic era. Standard frame. 80 minutes. [read the full review]
Beyond Desire review summaries:
Tongue in Groove's
Beyond Desire is a typical couples film from the 1980s (1983 to be specific) in that the feature relies heavily on dialogue and plot and only offers short snippets of sex (4-5 minutes each). There is bad acting throughout, with the notable exception of John Leslie, who plays a private investigator staying in a whorehouse (dont ask why; its too stupid to explain) and doing just about all the hookers in the place. There are some huge names in this feature, including Gina Carrera, Nina Hartley, Seka, and Vanessa del Rio, who, unfortunately, gets only one short sex scene towards the end of the 83 minutes. Nina is almost unrecognizable in a black wig. Little Oral Annie makes a brief appearance sucking off a couple guys. Kristara Barrington graces the first scene and takes a nice facial one of only three in the nine-scene flick. Patti Petit has the only anal action. The DVD offers the following extras: Photo Gallery, Other Titles, Cast, Contact and Website info, and a Language (English and Spanish only) Option. [read the full review]

Cry For Cindy (Arrow Productions) review summaries:
Flash's
Despite Cry for Cindy being a depressing film, it is also a very well done adult film where the plot and nonsexual portions matter as much as the sexual portions do. Don't expect a cheery plot or a smile on your face happy ending for the film. However, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't watch this film. Arrow has done a poor job with this release with an ugly transfer for the film. [read the full review]

Summer In Heat review summaries:

A fireside conversation between two lovers, Jamie Gillis and Delania Raffino, and the suggestion of a trip to Lake Shasta prompts the latter of the pair to recount a story from times past, when she last visited the lake with her ex-husband and Senator, Jack Wrangler. Of course, the trip was anything but typical, as it involved all manner of horny high-jinks, two of the participants--including Raffino herself--getting seriously lost, an assortment of awkward moments and interactions, and...finally...a trio of "protestors" intent on taking hostages and raping members of the party. This outlandish, fictitious trip is the primary focus of the film "Summer in Heat", an overall-good, 1979 release from VCX and director Alex DeRenzy. [read the full review]

Spoiled (Caballero) review summaries:
fu_q's
The lovely 80's lass, Taija Rae, has been three-timing a trio of men--an upscale gentleman (John Leslie), an egotistical hot-shot (Joey Silvera), and a sensitive nice guy (Jerry Butler)--and she's devised a game, wherein each man opens a mystery gift (and fucks her) to determine who will win her hand in marriage. Of course, Taija's jealous "friend", adult industry legend Nina Hartley, concocts some plans of her own upon hearing about the little contest that her buddy has going on. While who--if anyone--will ultimately win Taija's affection remains to be seen, one thing that's for certain is that there'll be a lot of sucking and fucking along the way. Such is the case in "Spoiled", a decent, 1987 release from director Stuart Canterbury and Caballero. [read the full review]

The Voyeur #10 Directed by John Leslie Overall Impression This is a great looking cast of young firm European girls, and considering it was shot in 1997 it is still some very respectable gonzo. Leslie's directorial style is not my personal favorite, but it certainly holds true to the title of the series "The Voyeur". He makes it seem almost like you are spying on these people having sex with his use of the camera sometimes. I prefer the more of a first person experience myself. However the fact is this disc has gorgeous girls enjoying some hardcore sex and there is nothing wrong with that. This may be an older movie, but it is a relatively new release on DVD and it shows, the menus and extras are pretty good for the most part. Scene 1 Nikki Anderson & Wvanda This scene starts off with a young Nikki in a 1on1 in huge bathtub. After some nice action Wvanda walks in and joins the fun. After Wvanda sees some action the scene with Nikki who takes an assfucking. Scene 2 Emanuell & Mercedes Another pair of sexy ladies. [read the full review]

Erotic Adventures of Candy (VCX) review summaries:
fu_q's
The virginally naive Candy Christian (played by the blonde bombshell, Carol Connors) unwittingly embarks upon the sexual adventure of a lifetime when her father ends up in the hospital after catching her getting it on with the hired help. Thereafter, Candy finds herself bumbling her way from one end of the country to the other, being taken advantage of by strangers, doctors, a cult leader, and even family members along the way. Fortunately for her (...and the viewer, as well...), she's more or less too ditzy to realize any of it and simply goes along for the sexy ride. Such is the case in the "Erotic Adventures of Candy", a very good, 1978 release from VCX and director Gail Palmer. [read the full review]

Candy Goes To Hollywood (VCX) review summaries:
fu_q's
Just about every guy in town takes a turn when Candy (Carol Connors), a naive blonde who's equal parts dopey and leggy, arrives on the corrupt, 1970's Hollywood scene. Indeed, the bubbly babe finds herself passed around from one user to another--from agents to TV show hosts to directors and so on--as she bumbles her way toward a supposed acting career under the guidance of her less-than-scrupulous agent, John Leslie. Fortunately for her--and the viewer, really--she's too ditzy to realize any of it, and she simply goes along for the sexy ride. Such is the case in "Candy Goes to Hollywood", a very good, 1979 release from VCX and director Gail Palmer. [read the full review]

WADD: The Life And Times Of John C. Holmes review summaries:
Flash's
If you are contemplating whether to buy the limited edition Lion's Gate release of Wonderland for Wadd or the VCA release of Wadd, despite the fact that the VCA version was apparently changed without the director's permission, this is the superior edition. The movie itself is very close to the version that still bears Cass Paley's name, the extras are excellent and this is the best disc from VCA that I have ever seen. If you are looking for masturbation material, this film isn't a great choice. But if you are looking for a film about one of the most legendary adult stars of all time, John C. Holmes that doesn't hold back this is definitely worth picking up. [read the full review]

The Voyeur 8 Live in Europe - Part 2 Evil Angel Directed by: John Leslie Starring: Anita Blond, Anita Dark, Caroline, Chanel, Kathy, Mercedes, Maria, Devon, Nadia, Rick, Frank Gun, Zoran, Thomas Jr, Zoltan Hess, John Walton, Frank Larson, John Lenin, Leslie, Bobby Vitale and the Voyeur. Running time: 2hrs 5mins Originally released on VHS back in 1997, this eighth edition of John Leslie's Voyeur series is a movie I first saw on another of those bootleg tapes that I had to depend on for my smut intake in the days before a marginally more enlightened mood descended upon these sceptred isles (that's Great Britain). Apologies to Evil Angel - I certainly would not encourage piracy, but needs must. Anyway, the point of all this is that, crazily enough, despite the fact that Leslie's Voyeur was peeping on girls of the calibre of Anitas Blond and Dark, I really was not struck on the picture at all. Although described as a hardcore spoof of Charlie's Angels, this is actually a very dark, almost depressing film featuring outstanding performances from some of the most talented late 70s hardcore actors. The production values and atmosphere are also very effective. A very good film for those who just can't stand modern porn. [read the full review]

Very "dark" plot including scenes of kidnapping, bondage and forced sex. The acting is fairly good although the A/V quality isn't the best (e.g. - some sex scenes substitute music for the actual sounds from the actors/actresses). This movie is famous for as lustful a lesbian scene as you will ever see. In it, Leslie Bovee eats, nay, devours Abigail Clayton's sweet, young pussy so voraciously, it borders on cannibalism. The camerawork is terrific as Abigail appears to gasp while Bovee firmly holds onto her squirming, orgasming body - feverishly sucking and tongue-lashing the pretty young actress' spasming pussy with all of her sexual energy until it actually seems that Clayton can take no more (this is one scene where the actual moans, groans and lip-smacking from the actresses would have added to the already volcanic nature of the action). Length: 84:20 Year: 1977 The Caballero dvd of A Coming Of Angels is presented in full-screen which doesnt appear to be correct because during the ending credits the names are cut off on the left and right of the screen, but during the rest of the movie you dont notice anything really being cut off. Unlike earlier Caballero dvds this one is on one track so you dont have those layer changes that cause the pauses, such as on Amanda By Night. The story to this movie is that Mark (Jamie Gillis) is an evil kidnapper who sells the women he kidnaps to various buyers. Before he does this though he and his evil sidekicks train the women how to be sexually submissive. This movie was meant to be a take off of Charlies Angels, with Carrie (Annette Haven), Jennifer (Abigail Clayton), and Robin (Leslie Bovee) playing the angels. Jennifer has been kidnapped by Mark and his gang and so the other two angels are out to find her and that is the basic plot to the movie. Robert (John Leslie) has a serious problem throughout the movie. [read the full review]

When a vulgar, crude-talking ladies' man, John Leslie, chances upon a married-but-unfulfilled Jesie St. James upon a beach, he gives himself three days to get into her pants. Such is the case in "Talk Dirty To Me 1", an exceptional, 1980 release from Dreamland Entertainment and Anthony Spinelli. Featuring raw and gritty sexual episodes set up to perfection with exquisitely acted sequences and an extraordinarily well-written storyline, this is the type of film that--when it's over--one's left wishing that it weren't...much like Leslie's character's love-'em-and-leave-'em approach to the ladies. Audio/visual quality: Print quality is very rough for first few minutes. Fortunately, the worst flickering subsides before the sex begins. The presence of blemishes, artifacts and video noise is probably acceptable given the age of the movie. The camerawork and editing are quite nicemuch less choppy than a few of the other classics I've seen. The emphasis falls on medium-length shots, with pleasing pans between faces and genitals.
