Candy Goes To Hollywood (VCX) Review

Review:
Just about every guy in town takes a turn when Candy (Carol Connors), a naive blonde who's equal parts dopey and leggy, arrives on the corrupt, 1970's Hollywood scene. Indeed, the bubbly babe finds herself passed around from one user to another--from agents to TV show hosts to directors and so on--as she bumbles her way toward a supposed acting career under the guidance of her less-than-scrupulous agent, John Leslie. Fortunately for her--and the viewer, really--she's too ditzy to realize any of it, and she simply goes along for the sexy ride. Such is the case in "Candy Goes to Hollywood", a very good, 1979 release from VCX and director Gail Palmer. Featuring an entertaining, lighthearted storyline that pokes fun at many of the Hollywood personalities and types of its era, this film is rife with hot sex and comical encounters. Driving the festivities forward is Connors' perfect portrayal of her character, whose charming, overblown bimbo routine manages to find a way to come off as a breath of fresh air, despite--or perhaps because of--its overtly clichéd underpinnings. To put it frankly, she is simply fun (...and sexy...) to watch. Period. Further bolstering her performance is a cast of unsavory, carnal characters, all playing their parts well and all looking to both take advantage of the young woman and to also get their fuck on...and not necessarily in that order. What results is an adult film that's hot, hilarious, horny, and that, instead of shunning the typical porn stereotypes and taking itself too seriously, embraces them. For fans of features, the classics, the 1970's, and/or Ms. Carol Connors, this one's not to be missed. Hands down and dicks up, it's a winner!

In terms of the sex, Scene One finds a local conman who gets his clutches on Candy (Carol Connors) hypnotizing her into giving him a BJ in his back office at an L.A. strip club (oral ; pop on her tits). In Scene Two, Wendy O. Williams, of Plasmatics fame (RIP), shows off her patented ping-pong ball trick in which she pops balls from her pussy, as the host of a game- / talent-show, Richard Pacheco, tries to catch them in his mouth. Scene Three has Richard taking Carol from behind after she wins the aforementioned show with her singing talent...and as she peeps her head out from behind the curtains, facing the cheering audience (vaginal ; pop on her backside). In Scene Four, the brunette lesbian, Delania Raffino, takes Carol home after picking her up as she was hitchhiking to her next appearance, proceeds to get her drunk, and then takes advantage of her (oral on Carol, strap-on on Carol). Scene Five finds Gary Grimes (a Johnny Carson clone) talking Carol out of her panties and then eating her out, having her blow him, and finally titty-fucking her to completion on her chest. In Scene Six, Carol ends up on a private "movie set" with a sleazy director, Turk Lyon, who gives her an "audition", complete with hidden cameras (vaginal ; cum-shot on her bush and tummy). Scene Seven brings together a wannabe singer, Sharon Kane, and John Leslie who fuck it out while Carol's on a call (vaginal ; money-shot on her bush). Scene Eight offers up a massive Hollywood orgy whose participants include Desiree Cousteau, Rhonda Jo Petty, Sharon Kane, Karen Black, Patty Cakes, Lou Lou Langdon, Phaery I. Bird, and Nancy Hoffman along with a variety of cocks...some new, some in prior sequences (girl-girl action, oral action, vaginal action ; various pop-shots on faces, bushes, bums, etc., including Petty taking a load on her smooth-shaven pussy and pelvis and Cousteau going wild with a facial).
