Dancers, The Review

Review:
It's all about loving 'em and leaving 'em when the smooth-talking John Leslie's over-the-top, male strip review, which is aiming for the stars but mired on the bottom, finds its way to a cowpoke town in the middle of nowhere. Indeed, the guys are born for the road, whether they realize it or not (...or like it or not...), and the fanciful ladies of the little berg are ultimately left feeling the repercussions in the wake of their unabashed, testosterone-fueled tide. Such is the case in "The Dancers", a very good, 1981 release from VCX and director Anthony Spinelli. Heavy on plot and strong on acting, this film offers up enough storyline to satisfy even the most jaded of feature fan. There's solid character development, well-thought-out relationships, and enough to think about to keep the viewer interested from start to finish. While the sex is subservient to the plot and peters out (pardon the pun) toward the end of the film, what's there fits nicely into its flow and is generally fairly steamy. Further, women may be interested in some of the offerings in this one, as cuts of the guys doing their strip routines--some of which are quite complex and clever--are plentiful and interspersed throughout. It's clear that Spinelli was aiming for a "real movie" (pardon the cliche) here, and--in that--he largely succeeded. For fans of features, John Leslie (or any of the guys, for that matter), and/or the classics, this one's worthy of a watch.

In terms of the sex, Scene One has John Leslie quickly picking up a barmaid at their booking, Mai Lin, and rocking her something righteous (vaginal). In Scene Two, Leslie ends up in the sack with the owner of the club, the amply-endowed brunette cougar, Kay Parker, up in her bedroom (vaginal). Scene Three finds Randy West talking the stunningly saucy Latina legend, Vanessa Del Rio, out of her pink waitress skirt back at her place with promises of Hollywood dreams (vaginal ; titty-fuck to a load on her chest). In Scene Four, Richard Pacheco ends up going home with--and bedding--a nice, polite, older woman who gives him some excellent advice in the park, Georgina Spelvin (vaginal). Scene Five brings together Joey Silvera and the local, married floozy, Anna Turner, for a time-killing good time at her place (oral, vaginal ; she jerks him off all over himself).
