Sex World is a resort, where the lucky who have been accepted can live out their sexual fantasies. The film shows us one group, their past, and their time at the resort. Since I first reviewed Sex World on Adult DVD Talk in 2002, the film has grown on me.

Spinelli works with his obviously limited budget to make a very nice looking film, complete with non-sexual portions that work with the sex and a story that lends itself to a lot of sex scenes. He also delves into the development of the characters, so we understand more about them and their past. This can slow the film at times but also makes the film more complex as well.

The cast does a great job with their roles, which isn't surprising considering some of the heavy-weights of yesteryear that are present within the film. The sex scenes are well done as well. The sex scenes are all on the soft side, but are visually appealing.

Overall, Sex World isn't the greatest film to come out of the 70s, but the film is sure to entertain sexually as well as providing some laughs as well.

Vinegar Syndrome has done an amazing job with this release of Sex World. Sex World is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 on both the Blu-ray and the DVD. The Blu-ray is absolutely stunning. The picture sports grain and what appears to be an absolutely flawless picture. Sex World has never looked better. Colors are rendered flawlessly with beautiful blacks and vivid color. There isn't any artifacts or print damage present that I could notice. The Blu-ray is presented in 1080p. The DVD presents a beautiful standard definition transfer as well.

On the Blu-ray, Sex World is presented with an English DTS-HD Master Audio 1.0 monaural track with sounds absolutely beautiful with no damage or dirt that can be heard anywhere in the presentation. The dialog is clear and easy to hear at all times. On the DVD Sex World is presented with an English Dolby Digital 1.0 monaural track, which also sounds beautiful.

This release consists of a total of three discs. There is a Blu-ray with the feature film and several extras. “Kay Parker: The Birth of a Legend,” a 16 minute interview with Sex World star Kay Parker, “The Funny Man: An Interview with Joey Silvera,” a seven minute interview with star Joey Silvera, and “Joel Sussman: A Visual Person,” a five minute interview with the film's still photographer Joel Sussman, are all included on the disc. The theatrical trailer and a teaser trailer are all included on the Blu-ray as well.

There is a DVD with the feature film along with all of the extras contained on the Blu-ray. The DVD contains an additional extra not contained on the Blu-ray through. The softcore version of Sex World, which runs for 89 minutes, is also included on the DVD. There is also a CD included with the soundtrack for Sex World on it.
