Baby Face (VCA) Review

One of the greatest porn flicks ever, Alex de Renzy's BABY FACE (1977, TVX Home Video-2006) tells the story of a big lug named Dan (Dan Roberts) who is on the lam from not only the cops but also a pissed-off Mom named Molly (Mary Eaton) who catches Dan fucking her sex-crazed daughter Priscilla (lovely Lyn Malone) early in the flick. Director de Renzy and screenwriter John Mulligan bring this trio together for the nutty finale that takes place in a San Francisco brothel where Dan has been hiding out. Standard frame. 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Before brief title credits with de Renzy's name huge but the screenwriter's name cut off, a male teacher kicks Priscilla out of his classroom for spreading her legs under her desk (revealing her shaved twat) and for drawing a dick and pussy on her assignment.

At a male brothel, Dan gets a shave and is introduced to some of the lovely professional women (black and beautiful Desiree West, Sandy Pinney, Angela Haze and Charla Miss '42?) that frequent the joint. The cabbie (Angela) gives Dan a test drive and when the cabbie comes, Dan's thoughts turn to how he got himself in this fine mess.

Here, BABY FACE flashes back to where Dan deflowers the young Priscilla at his work site where the duo literally take a roll in the hay (fingering, blowjob, cowgirl, after-mish cum shot and a kiss) as they suck and fuck near Dan's caged pet rabbits. Mom Molly comes looking for her daughter and she's brought along a cop (former NFL player Otis Sistrunk!) who pursues the big lummox until a gunshot sends Dan off the pier and into the bay.

Dan is still fucking the cabbie on the floor (and it's terrific) as the flashback concludes. The male hookers sit around in their dorm room and chit-chat with Dan. They warn Dan to "watch out for The Nut Cracker'!"-one of the more angry patrons who frequents the brothel. Another flashback finds Dan washed up on shore where Felicia (cute Amber Hunt) and her Asian pal (Linda Wong with lovely tan lines) take him home and give his big ass a bath in their tiny bath tub then suck and fuck him on a couch in their house by the bay. Felicia gets Dan his gig at the brothel.

The middle third of BABY FACE tends to meander away from Dan's tale in favor of encounters involving his brothel brothers. The fashion model Negra (Desiree) wants to fuck Dan but Jeff (Paul Thomas) forces her to suck and fuck him and he even brings in Felicia so he can see Negra eat some pussy. Jeff watches the lovely duo 69 then he mish-fucks Felicia who ends up in a fine flattened doggy position upon the bed.

Priscilla's teacher Mr. James arrives at their home and complains to Molly that her daughter is "behaving seductively" but Mom is having none of it. She shows him the door, tells Priscilla "men are animals, honey." She listens to her daughter's denials, pops a pill and goes out.

At Sears Point International Raceway, race car driver Tasha (Sandy) gets angry with her pit crew then heads over to the brothel where she rides Dan and flogs his back with a whip. This sex scene with S & M moments is intercut with an encounter between Shirley (big and buxom Charla Miss '42) and Roger (Joey Silvera) as the duo play out her fantasy of sucking and fucking a school boy. These sex scenes are well-staged by de Renzy and Dan's encounter is viewed by an onlooker, who can only be heard off-camera asking "where have I seen him before?"

At the airport, Marina (lovely Kristine Heller) meets up with the cabbie and asks her "where can a girl get laid?" so the cabbie brings her to the brothel where Dan and Roger suck and fuck Marina in 3-way action on the floor and in a black leather chair. A spent Dan falls back onto the couch as Roger drops a load on Marina's pussy lips while she's masturbating with her fingers. The energetic Marina backwards somersaults upon the floor and wants more! More and more men come upstairs to come in and on Marina, who has been stationed in a special swing that's hanging from a beam. Jeff gets this new round started by anal fucking Marina then completes the gang bang action by mish fucking her.

BABY FACE's conclusion is like nothing else in the history of porn flicks. After the gang bang, a tired and weary Dan must try to satisfy 'The Nut Cracker' who wraps Dan in layers of cellophane, tears open a hole for his prick, sucks his cock then rides it. At this juncture, the viewer knows the identity of 'The Nut Cracker' but that poor schmuck Dan does not, which gives this finale an incredible black comedic burst as Dan must not only escape her clutches but also that of police officer Rizzo, who has just arrived on the scene. Meanwhile, Priscilla arrives on her bike for a suck and fuck finale with Roger and Jeff then Felicia and her Asian friend help Dan make his escape into the darkness.

So, Alex de Renzy's BABY FACE (1977) scores on so many levels; however, the flick falters a bit in its middle third when its focus shifts to other characters as well as letting the viewer in on the identity of 'The Nut Cracker' too soon.

Ah, but that fun, frantic ending that so perfectly integrates the sexual encounter between Dan and his nemesis makes BABY FACE a viewing experience like no other.
