Review:
When his promiscuous, dissatisfied hippie of a wife (Dorothy Smight) opts to divorce him, leaving him unable to pay to for it, the down-on-his-luck Jon Martin has little choice but to take on a low-end job as an encyclopedia salesman for an ambitious businesswoman (Brigit Olsen), who's also the client of his attorney (Christine DeShaffer). Of course, Jon would be an utter failure at this piece of his life, as well, if it weren't for his almost uncanny ability to ensnare women with his naively innocent charm...and then satisfy them thoroughly with his seemingly mystical cock. Such is the case in Howard Perkins' overall-good, 1978 release, "Hot Lunch", which has been skillfully remastered by Vinegar Syndrome. While this one starts out at a quirky diner run by Juliet Anderson, and it appears for all the world that the goings-on at this establishment are going to be the focal point of the film, the plot quickly takes a left turn and then moves into the storyline noted above. While there's certainly nothing wrong with this, it does give the flick a bit of a disjointed feel, and it brings its titling somewhat into question, as well...leaving the viewer expecting one thing and getting another. Regardless, this isn't a serious issue, and the plot itself is fairly decent and, as might be expected, eventually ends up taking on a romantic twist. The sex is also fairly decent, though nothing to write home about, and what ultimately results is a nostalgic bit of nookie that's good enough for a quick watch, particularly as a part of a streaming service, though not something that one would want to overpay for.
In terms of the sex, Scene One brings together the manager of the diner, "Aunt Peg" (Juliet Anderson), and her lesbian love interest, the blonde-maned hooker, Sharon Kane, back on the floor of the kitchen area, all as a cop who's looking for Sharon comes in to patronize the place. Jon Martin--a new employee--stands over the pair and makes a burger for the cop, as they go at it. The main action here involves the ladies sticking various culinary items up their snatches (...including the use of the handles of a rolling pin as a shared double-dildo...), as well as some good, ole-fashioned ass- and pussy-eating. In Scene Two, Jon Martin's wife, Dorothy Smight, invites a couple of groovy dudes, Ray Wells and Bob Bernharding, back to her loft for some smoke-filled, lights-flashing, disco dancing. Of course, it doesn't take long for everyone's clothes to come off...and for the dudes' cocks to end up in Smight's mouth and pussy.
