Dixie Ray: Hollywood Star (Caballero) Review

A streetwise private investigator (John Leslie) finds himself wrapped up in a web of lies, chicanery, and murder when a former, big-name actress, "Dixie Ray" (Lisa DeLeeuw), hires him to uncover who's trying to blackmail her with a compromising photo. Along the way, Leslie encounters a cadre of characters and criminals and a bevy of babes who are just aching to get laid by the smooth-talking ladies' man...a fact that he takes full advantage of, of course. How it will all turn out, whether everything's truly as it seems, and whether John can put the whole caper together remain the burning questions of the day. Such is the case in "Dixie Ray: Hollywood Star", a near-perfect, 1983 release from Caballero and director Anthony Spinelli. Rolled out in a film noir style and set in the mid-1940's, this flick features a complex and compelling storyline, impeccable acting (from Leslie to DeLeeuw, and everyone in between), and realistic, period-appropriate environments. The sex is extraordinarily erotic from start to finish, and it fits seamlessly into the plot, complementing it at every turn. The cast is top-of-the-line for its time, as well--DeLeeuw, Leslie, Juliet Anderson, Veronica Hart, Samantha Fox, Kelly Nichols, Hillary Summers, and so on. Checking this film out truly should be a no-brainer for fans of features, detective stories, film noir (in color)...and likely others, too. Similarly, John Leslie fans will take delight in this production, as will fans of Lisa DeLeeuw. They were two of the best that the industry has seen--in every respect--and this fine flick puts their various and multiple talents on full display. Be sure to see this one. It's an engrossing, erotic affair of the first order that will have the viewer pinned to the screen all the way through to its captivating conclusion. Hands down and dicks up, it's a winner!

In terms of the sex, Scene One is a flashback to the recent past, in which the lovely blonde legend and Dixie Ray's secretary, Juliet "Aunt Peg" Anderson, throws herself at the private investigator and protagonist of the film, John Leslie, in his office. She lays him back upon his sofa, gets his pants down, and goes straight for his cock with her mouth. In so doing, she sucks and jerks him to completion. In Scene Two (an older flashback and where the body of the film picks up), John has one last fling with his personal (and hot-to-trot) secretary, the Marilyn Monroe-esque blonde, Hillary Summers, as the two go at it in his office. This one occurs after a bit of banter and after the phone has interrupted them a couple of times. Hillary blows and fucks John upon the sofa, taking him orally and vaginally like the wanton nympho that she is. He drops a load on her backside out of doggy in closing out this steamy affair. Scene Three pairs up John with Dixie's estranged husband's half-crazy tramp (and step-daughter), Kelly Nichols, in a hotel room. Following a bit of tease and some turmoil, the two decide that the only thing really left to do is fuck...which they do...orally and vaginally. A passionate pounding rolls forth, with Leslie eventually finishing on her thigh. In Scene Four, the fire-crotched legend's, Lisa DeLeeuw's (as "Dixie Ray"), secretary, Juliet Anderson, gives her a sensual massage...with her mouth. Anderson eats Lisa out with passion upon the massage table at her mansion. Popping in, John breaks up the action, and DeLeeuw is more than happy to see him...and seduce him (Scene Five). Anderson leaves the room in a huff...and lets the two to go at it. The banter that leads into this sequence is exceptional at building the heat, and the romp that ensues is intensely erotic, with Lisa blowing Leslie until he unloads on her creamy tits. Wow! In Scene Six, John's oversexed secretary, Hillary Summers, sits in his chair, her legs spread and propped up upon his desk, masturbating as she recounts a steamy encounter with a mailman over the phone to a friend. Scene Seven has the legendary beauty, the bubbly Veronica Hart, and her pal, the cute New York spinner, Samantha Fox, coming over to John's place at the behest of their boss, a club owner who also knows Leslie. A cut finds him pounding out Veronica on the bed and then making Fox beg for the dick. She ultimately gets what she wants, and a torrid threeway unfolds, with both ladies getting it vaginally, Samantha sucking his cock out of Veronica's pussy, and a pop-shot on Ms. Fox's backside out of doggy. In Scene Eight, Juliet Anderson and Phaery I. Burd pleasure one another at Lisa DeLeeuw's mansion, before she eventually joins them...all as Kevin James watches in. This one's interrupted after a short period of time by John making a surprise appearance at the home.
