A streetwise private investigator (John Leslie) finds himself wrapped up in a web of lies, chicanery, and murder when a former, big-name actress, "Dixie Ray" (Lisa DeLeeuw), hires him to uncover who's trying to blackmail her with a compromising photo. Along the way, Leslie encounters a cadre of characters and criminals and a bevy of babes who are just aching to get laid by the smooth-talking ladies' man...a fact that he takes full advantage of, of course. How it will all turn out, whether everything's truly as it seems, and whether John can put the whole caper together remain the burning questions of the day. Such is the case in "Dixie Ray: Hollywood Star", a near-perfect, 1983 release from Caballero and director Anthony Spinelli.

Dixie Ray Hollywood Star is a fun whodunit adult film noir with an enjoyable story, good acting, and well done sex scenes. Caballero has essentially only included the feature film with an acceptable but not great transfer of the film.
