Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is the last film — which yes, remarkably was shot on film — to be released by Mitchell Brothers Film Group. Reportedly directed by Jim and Artie Mitchell, although neither bothered to put their name on it, Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is a sad ending to the once great Mitchell Brothers Film Group.

The opening of Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing make all appearances that the viewer is going to be watching a feature film. Bud (Danny Ray), a messenger from the city safe sex office, is sent to see Anna (Tracey Adams), the head of the G-Girl Team. Bud has been sent to the G-Girls because Romper Voyages, a sex charter boat, needs to be assessed for proper sex techniques and safe sex practices. If deficiencies are found, the G-Girl Team is to fix them.

There is some of the safe sex preachings that were so abundant in Behind the Green Door: The Sequel, the penultimate film from Mitchell Brothers Film Group. All of the safe sex information is also contained within the dialog at the beginning of the film when Bud and Anna are conversing. Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing has dropped the condom usage that was prevalent within Behind the Green Door: The Sequel.

All of the plot is given during the first five minutes of the film when Bud reads a letter to Anna. After that, the film basically has three parts. The opening two sex scenes that are interlaced and take up about one-third of the run time for the film. Then there is non-sexual not plotted footage aboard the boat which appears to be there just to prove that there was a real boat used that really was sailing around San Francisco Bay. This section takes up about one-third of the run time for the film but adds nothing to the film and gets boring, fast. Then the final one-third of the film is the boat sex scenes.

Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing appears to have been shot with little plans for the final film or forethought into exactly what was being created and ends up looking more like an elaborate sexual circus that one might expect to see on stage at Jim and Artie's O'Farrell Theatre than in an adult film. Especially the ending that even has a girl on a sexual trapeze. Some of the sex acts performed are so obviously not pleasurable that it heavily detracts from the eroticism of the scenes.

Honestly, the end product looks like the film never finished shooting and some poor editor had to try to throw what was shot together to attempt to make some sort of film to recoup the production cost. Most, if not all, of the dialog in the film sounds like it was dubbed in later by voice actors that were not the cast members. The bulk of the film was shot on San Francisco Bay, a point that the film makes abundantly clear.

This isn't to say that everything about Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is horrible. The film does feature a great 1980s soundtrack composed by the San Francisco Glam Rock/Pop band Sybil and Jonny Dog. The soundtrack was enjoyable to listen to and make the film not seem like a complete loss.

Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is nothing more than a hackneyed mess that makes little sense and is bound to leave viewers disappointed. Honestly, Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is a sad ending to the legacy of the once great Mitchell Brothers Film Group. Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is a hard film to recommend to anyone.

The edition of Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing screened is the streaming and the downloadable version that, as of the time of writing, is exclusive to HotMovies. Mitchell Brothers Film Group has done an absolutely horrible job with their streaming and the downloadable version of Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing. Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing was shot on film and is presented in the academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 in standard definition. The master used for this release is clearly a VHS tape with a definition of 250i and the resulting image looks horrible. There are artifacts and print damage along with glitches in the video. The image has a horribly low definition with no sharpness. Mitchell Brothers Film Group usually has great image quality for their releases. However, this one does not.

Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is presented with an English Stereo audio track. The audio for the film is also in poor shape with a high pitched whine throughout the entire film. The dialog in the film is clear and easy to understand, however, the audio is less than a pleasant listening experience.

Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is the final film to come from the legendary Mitchell Brothers Film Group. By all appearances, Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing was never properly finished and what was collected was thrown together and thrown out on the market. The entire plot for the film is given in a series of voice overs at the beginning of the film during the first five minutes. After that, it is a random collection of footage that doesn't seem to be well assembled. Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing is just a mess and is an easy film to skip. Mitchell Brothers Film Group has done a horrible job with their streaming and the downloadable version of Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing with poor video and audio quality.
