Peekarama: Baby Rosemary / Hot Lunch Review

Review:
A seemingly virginal, though certainly troubled, young woman, Rosemary (played by Sharon Thorpe), finds herself both unable to have sex unless in impersonal situations and also swirling further and further into madness, particularly upon the death of her estranged father. Where this disturbed path that her troubled psyche takes her upon will ultimately lead is anyone's guess, but one thing is for certain, and that's that it will be dark...and sexual. Such is the case in "Baby Rosemary", a bizarre, though very good, re-release of a 1976 Howard Perkins film by Vinegar Syndrome. While the storyline for this production isn't as easy to follow as it could be, nor is it as logically connected as it might be, either, it is good enough to maintain the viewer's interest throughout. Moreover, the quirky, sometimes-surreal nature of the goings-on, which often exhibit a distinct, 1970's, "trippy" flavor, adds positively to the mix, as well, allowing the audience to truly get into the distorted headspace of the participants, as opposed to simply living vicariously through their body parts. Sex-wise, the action is hot, with the fucking "making sense" with the rest of the plot, yet still remaining erotic...even when couched in an outlandish context, which is honestly no small feat. Of course, the cast is top-notch, too, with the likes of Sharon Thorpe, Lesllie Bovee, Candida Royalle, John Leslie, and John Seeman all onboard and showing off both their physical and their acting chops. As a Vinegar Syndrome release, it goes without saying that the production values are as high as they can possibly be, which is quite impressive, especially given the age of some of the films (this one included) that they restore. All in all, this is a worthy pick up for those who are fans of the Golden Age, 1970's erotic fare, Vinegar's work, something a bit "different", and/or any of the participants.

In terms of the sex, Scene One finds John Leslie, after being turned down by his hesitant, long-time "girlfriend", Rosemary (Sharon Thorpe), heading over to his hooker's, Lesllie Bovee's, place to reenact what might have happened with her. He eats Bovee's ass before fucking it and then does the "lick-it-and-stick-it" routine with her pussy. Despite being a pay-for-play scenario, this sequence is smokin' hot, with John slipping Lesllie the goods on the carpeted staircase outside of her apartment and ultimately unloading on her face. In Scene Two, Monique Cardin and Ken Scudder force Sharon Thorpe to have sex with both of them at knife-point in her father's low-end, city apartment. Sharon eats Monique out, and Ken follows it up by pounding her (Thorpe) vaginally, eventually jerking off on her bush and pussy whilst Cardin masturbates. Scene Three brings together the mortician at Thorpe's father's funeral, John Seeman, with her two whacko, sex-cult friends, Candida Royalle and Melba Bruce, up in Seeman's room. He fucks them both vaginally, including in a sort of missionary-stack position, and they masturbate with their ritual candles when not getting banged out. Some oral action and a spurting, double-facial finishes off this odd, though steamy, sexing. In Scene Four, John Leslie and Sharon Thorpe finally get naked, after having gotten all hot and bothered whilst peeping in from the doorway on the prior scene. They wait until they can drive to his home before getting it on, which they then proceed to (partially) do in a sequence in which John tongues her asshole and then friction-fucks her bush and tummy to a cum-shot...all as Sharon hesitates. Scene Five pairs up Monique Cardin and Ken Scudder, again in Sharon's father's apartment complex. They're in the middle of a doors-open fucky-and-sucky, when Thorpe walks in and watches them from the doorway. Scudder then gives Cardin the boot and beckons Sharon in with his cock...finishing off with her (Scene Six ; vaginal, facial post-scene--after further plot elements and a time lapse). In Scene Seven, Sharon Thorpe quenches her feelings of loneliness with an all-girl three-way with her bizarro-land pals, Candida Royalle and Melba Bruce. Of course, they take good care of her with their tongues in the short-but-sensual sexing that ensues. Scene Eight has John Leslie making a quick visit to his prostitute, Lesllie Bovee, after having taken a break from her services for a couple of years. Of course, all of the pent up passion is released at once, as the pair transitions through a frantic, fast-paced, multi-positioned, oral and vaginal romp. This one is varied and sexy throughout. In Scene Nine, Sharon finds her way to the funeral parlor, called there by her father's voice. Once inside, smoke fills the room, and all of her dirty "friends"--and their dirty "friends"--from the film (Monique Cardin, Lesllie Bovee, Candida Royalle, Melba Bruce, Ken Scudder, John Leslie, and a voodoo-painted John Seeman) join her for a massive, surreal, coffin-side orgy. There's plenty of oral and vaginal action all-around, and the offerings are peppered with girl-on-girl fun, as well, including an all-girl, box-eating ring on the floor. All three of the guys beat off on Thorpe's face and chest simultaneously in capping off this kinky, carnal caper. Super-bizarre, super-sexy, and a bit nonsensical...all at once...and still not bad. Not bad at all.
