This film had serious possibilities, but ultimately fell pretty flat for some fundamental reasons. First, the good news... alec metro and serenity are great and perfectly cast in their leads as the conniving stepsiblings. (as you've already read, this film is a takeoff on "cruel intentions," where the steps are rich, beautiful and bored. alec is lusting after his stepsister serentity, and they make a bet where serenity will give him her goodies if he can bed kiki d'aire). each are self-absorbed, beautiful (except for alec's flaming red fake tan), and put down some seriously good acting. the set-up alone should have made the film hot. a couple of the sex scenes were fun, particularly the two g-g-b scenes, which i'm not even typically a fan of. the bad news... kiki d'aire as the prize? ohmygod, to watch her was painful. she was entirely miscast as a supposed stuck-up, yet virginal lawyer. she can't read a line to save her life and, hey, the quasi-bo derek cornrow thing ain't working. every time she was on the screen i ff'd. Giving credit where its due, the dubbing is nicely done. The video has a minor amount of grain to it, but is very nicely lit and uses both color and black and white footage in a very pleasing way. Jezebelle Bond, I wrote in my notes for the first scene of Wickeds Second Chance, smiles like a whore whose only thought is to get Steven St. Croix off; she never comes close on her own. Little did I know the reason for that when I watched the scene. Director Jim Enright cleared it up for me later as I perused this discs Behind the Scenes featurette. Turns out that Ms. Bond appears here in her first ever boy/girl scene on camera. And thats an interesting fact, I think, but it didnt make me like the scene any better. However, I will say in her defense that Jezebelles performance isnt the worst thing in this movie. Written by Melissa Monet, this is the story of John, an old man (he looks to be in his 50s) whos just buried his best buddy, Harry. Or thinks he has. What John doesnt know is that his friends death was a sham, cooked up to provide him a second chance at lifein a younger body, with a successful career and all the women he can handle. Wicked Pictures has finally released their first film on disc and it is an excellent outing. The sex may not be as hot as it could be, but the story makes up for the rest. I highly recommend this film to fans of mainstream films such as The Naked Gun, Top Secret and Airplane as they will have a great time watching this film. Wicked Weapon held a lot of potential for being a great film. The cast and directorial talent is there. And both of the companies that made the film, Wicked Pictures and Video Marc Dorcel, have both put out some excellent works. Unfortunately, the film never quite lives up to it's ultimate potential and ends up falling short. This isn't to say that Wicked Weapon is a bad film, it's just not the film it could have been. Fans of Laure Sainclair and Jenna Jameson will definitely want to pick this title up as Wicked has done an excellent job with the presentation on the disc. Viewers that don't like a plot in their porn will probably want to pass on the title. Expectations This is a true classic, and Wicked has done a re-master on it. I can't wait to watch this one! Capsule Review The re-master is a much improved version of the classic, and the comic book multi-angle capability is a lot of fun. Technical The disc is mastered perfectly, the menus are attractive and functional. The vintage of the movie itself is evident in the video quality. But the digitization is obviously done with TLC. A great effort. Director Brad Armstrong Extras Animated comic book (multi angle switches between the comic and the feature), extended scenes, bloopers, BTS gallery, bios, photo gallery, trailers Target Audience Feature fans, Jenna/Laure fans Scene Review Scene 1 - Jenna Fine Jenna Fine loos really good here. Here we have a feature from Wicked studios starring one of their former contract stars Missy. The is a plotted porn movie which isn't my favorite but their are some hotties in this cast that I am looking forward to seeing in action. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" I had mostly seen Jonathan Morgan's comedies, so I decided that this time around I would see how he does with drama, and darker elements, so I watched this and Indigo Delta back to back. Since this is a porno, I'll start with an overview of the sex scenes. There actually is a good amount of sex in this film, with a little variety here and there. The sex actually was lacking a lot of heat at times. The stand out scenes had to be the threesome with Mickey G., Tabitha Stevens, and the Pizza Girl. There was a good amount of heat, and both women look very good, with a nice touch of diversity since the Pizza Girl had a more natural body, and darker hair, and Tabitha was more your typical blonde porn star. Also, you can tell that Tabitha is enjoying herself. Also, the orgy scene at the end of the movie had some pretty decent heat, and had a little more than the vanilla sex in "Double Feature". There is no question in my mind that Jenna Jameson epitomizes the prototypical porn babe: blonde, flashy, curvy and with a eye-popping, healthy chest courtesy of Dow Corning, it's easy to see why she has become America's hardcore sweetheart. However, I will admit that with the exception of her earliest appearances in Old Man Randy West's UP AND CUMMER series (in particular the previously reviewed UP AND CUMMERS #11, where she is, in the words of Robert Palmer, "simply irresistable"), I have not exactly been a member of her fan following. To me, she just doesn't have the appeal of a Ginger Lynn, Nikki Dial, or even Ashlyn Gere, to name a few undisputed legends of porn. And her 1995 starring role in THE WICKED ONE does nothing to change my mind. Beginning with an opening scream and scrawled warning, "Don't fuck with Jenna" on the DVD's menu, this release from Wicked is a fairly good porn package, and co-stars some overlooked favorites like Tiffany Million and Channone, as well as present-day superstars like Jill Kelly. In fact, any excuse you can conjure is as good as any to watch well made porn. Pornogothic is one of those rare movies that balance plot with sex, and actually pays attention to the details.
