Forty-one year old Randy Spears (looking exactly like 41-year-old Randy Spears) begins Wickeds Best Friends as a college student preparing to leave for med school. April Flowers, his much younger-looking best friend, is worried that they may never see each other again. Written by Melissa Monet, this is the story, told vignette-style, of the ups and downs of their relationship over a period of several years, during which Randy gets married, has a couple of kids, and gets divorced, and April experiments with lesbian love, takes up with kinky Eric Masterson, and dumps him when she catches him screwing around with the couple next door. Its the story of two best friends who go their separate ways only to wind up together again, unattached, and mature enough to finally admit their love for one another. Thats the story, all right. Of course, its crap. Its crap because all the interesting stuff happens off-screen. Well, not all of it; Ill get to that later. Randys first sex scene is with Aria and it takes place on their wedding night.

Description This is a lightweight Wicked Feature with condom use. General Impression The plot isn't particularly well-integrated with the sex, and seems to contradict it in one scene. The sex is good, but doesn't have a lot of chemistry. Sex April, Stormy, and Olivia Saint kick it off with a pussy-eating and dildo-wielding threesome. Just as we always expected, this is how college girls unwind during a big study session. Lite jazz plays as the girls show some genuine enthusiasm, and they get to mewing like a basketful of kittens. This scene was nicely done. The second scene, with Randy Spears and Aria, is the one that clashed with the plot. Randy confides in April that Aria has held out for their wedding night, and refers to himself as 'Dr. Blue-balls.' And as soon as they get into the honeymoon sweet, Aria is apologetic about making him wait all those years. She then demonstrates the oral skills of a very enthusiastic and practiced call girl, grinds him in a non-virginal way, and calls out, "Fuck that ass!" as he takes her anally.

Expectations My recent experience with Jim Enright movies has been less than stellar. Let's hope this one is better. Capsule Review This one is par for the course. A basically boring, plot heavy porno piece with very little attention to the heat of the sex. I don't understand why April, who is a very sexy piece, can't turn it up a notch when it comes to sex. Of course, she's in good company here since only the first two scenes radiate any heat at all. Technical While the technical camera work and audio are satisfactory, the movie is uniformly too dark and dreary. I have no reason to expect this to be any different. Initial Reaction: Its nice, soft, and fun, which seems perfect. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a little romance with their porn Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting the nastier side of Wicked Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear and well balanced without a hint of background noises. The video is pretty well lit, but looks a little pixelized. Id almost think a filter had been applied to the video if I had heard of Jim Enright doing this to a feature before. Theres also a few spots with flashes of remnants and bad pixelation. Once again, this seems like pretty sloppy video quality for Wicked, especially with a newer movie.
