Initial Expectations: Alexa had some good stuff when she first came out, but seemed to go down hill the longer she was around. If it wasn’t for the other girls here, and most of the male cast, I wouldn’t have much hope for this one.

Initial Reaction: It’s pretty typical Fred Lincoln, which means pretty average stuff.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is normally very clear, but unfortunately there is a bit of dubbing that’s pretty noticeable. There’s also a few areas that are slightly unbalanced. The video is also very clear, and doesn’t have any shadows which get in the way.

Music: The music is normally balanced very well with the rest of the audio, but it got on my nerves a little since I had heard it before elsewhere.

Menus: The main menu has some nice animation to give a good first impression, which I’ve come to expect from Wicked and the care they give their DVDs. The chapter menu is pretty standard, letting you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene and a scene title.

The Feature: Wicked Wishes seems like a great title for a feature with Alexa. It seems like a couple years ago she normally wished she was in mainstream films, a few months ago she was wishing she had something to cover her head other than the lid on the dumpster, and today she might be wishing she would have reigned in her ego and maybe put more energy into her performances rather than just running off at the mouth and letting her ego run wild. None of that, however has anything to do with the plot in Wicked Wishes, which places Alexa as a sex therapist who helps couples with their problems. She has three couples come to a retreat led by her and the sexually ambiguous, at least here, Evan Stone.

Alexa helps herself to Devin Wolf first, when he claims he’s so horny he can’t even think straight. He fights her off at first, wanting to be faithful to his wife, but Dr. Alexa wants nothing to do with that. She works on seducing him into agreeing, and lets him start out sucking her tits. Alexa returns the favor with a nice blowjob before turning around and letting Devin fuck her stubbly pussy from behind. She rolls over onto her back to finish off Devin, and takes a nice facial at the end while licking her lips as he sprays her. It’s a pretty good scene, but obviously during Alexa’s “too good for porn” stage. I assume this was due to the cameramen, but it could also have been Alexa’s ego pushing him out of the scene. After talking about their separate relationship problems, Kelsey and Erik Everhard, who came to the retreat as part of two separate couples, Erik rubs some lotion on Kelsey, before having a pick up line about fucking the shit out of her backfire on him. The scene also left a bit to be desired during the lead in. Briana can take a cock like most people can fish a beer out of the fridge, but her acting made me wish I was one of those people fishing out a beer. It is a problem with the scene, but thankfully one that’s easily forgotten when real action starts.

Devin Wolf sets himself apart from the rest of the cast next, as he actually gets busy with wife Julie Meadows. It’s a pretty good scene, with some nice energy, but the chemistry seemed to be missing quite a bit. As usual, the camera seemed like the operator wasn’t quite sure of the view being captured, as there were often parts cut off.

Finally, Evan Stone and Briana Banks decide to make sure Alexa practices some of what she preaches. Wicked Wishes is a pretty good Fred Lincoln feature. I can’t say that I’m a big fan of Fred’s style, and there’s plenty to annoy me here. The most annoying thing was the camera angles. Every scene had me wondering if the people working the camera forgot their glasses at home or just didn’t care. Many of the scenes felt like they weren’t sure what they really wanted to capture, whether it was to be a distance shot or a close-up, and just finally decided to kind of go half way. Unfortunately, that’s about where the camera quality went. I shouldn’t blame it all on the camera work, as the editing is just as much to blame. It feels rushed in many places, and the end product often leaves behind a lot of the heat. Rather than feeling like the cast is really into each other, you just get glimpses of it. That’s not to say that Wicked Wishes is a bad feature, it’s not. Alexa does a decent job, especially in the lead-ins to the scenes, but seems so caught up in overdone moaning that her scenes come down for me. Briana Banks, however, does a great job in both her scenes, and Kelsey isn’t too far behind her. Surprisingly, the thing that saves the feature for me is Evan Stone’s non-sex roles. He plays the “gay” assistant for just the right amount of laughs, and often holds the feature together. Wicked Wishes isn’t quite what I would have wished for, but it’s still a little better than the average porno.

Extras: Many of Wicked’s standard extras are here, along with quite a few others. Fans of photo galleries are sure to be pleased. Starting things off is a behind the scenes photo gallery, that lasts just over a minute and a half. There’s also a two minute photo gallery of the main feature. This is pretty standard for Wicked, but they’ve really pulled out the photo gallery stops here and included almost fifteen minutes of photo galleries that are arranged by the star for Alexa, Lola, Kelsey, T. J. Hart, Briana Banks, and Julie Meadows. Every photo looks great in the galleries, and each one lasts about six seconds before moving on to the next.

Two interviews are also included, one with Lee Stone and one with Lola. Lee Stone talks about getting in the business and strip clubs for about four and a half minutes. Lola talks about her scene with T. J. Hart and Marty Romano, blowjobs, and how she gets what she wants for about a minute and a half.

Finally, there’s the All Access: The Making of Wicked Wishes behind the scenes featurette which lasts about fifteen minutes. In Wicked’s standard extra touch of care, each star is nicely identified as they take the screen. There’s quite a few short interviews with the stars, and as usual Evan Stone adds quite a bit of humor. Surprisingly, Kelsey keeps right up to Evan in the humor department, and had me smiling as much watching her in the behind the scenes as watching her fuck. It’s a fun behind the scenes, but unfortunately Julie Meadows was nowhere to be scene. Of course, with Kelsey and Evan around, I didn’t even notice until after it was over and enjoyed the featurette enough that it didn’t really bring it down much for me.

Overall: Currently, Wicked Wishes can be found online for between $21 and $30 with only a couple stores offering it near the low end. Although a nicely done DVD, I didn’t think the feature was quite up to Wicked’s normal high quality. The overall feature is fun, but the camera work brought down a lot of the sex for me. The transfer is pretty good and the extras add quite a bit to the overall DVD.

Note to Wicked: As usual, you did a very nice job on this DVD, and continue to show how they should be done.
