Initial Expectations: Jonathan Morgan has made some amazing adult films, and Wicked has made some great DVDs. Needless to say, I’ve got some high expectations.

Initial Reaction: It’s an extremely well done movie, both sexually and non-sexually.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who likes plot to go with their porn and who doesn’t mind a bit of a dark or romantic feel

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for funny porn, which Jonathan has shown he can do extremely well in the past, or more extreme sex

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is normally clear and well balanced. The video has a slight bit of grain to it, and looks almost like it was shot on film and treated right. The light balance varies quite a bit, which appears to be on purpose. There are a few shadows, but they often serve to enhance the mood rather than detract from it. There’s also quite a few scenes that are slightly saturated with light, which bleaches out the colors, but also seems to fit in well with the feature.

Music: The music varies extremely well, using romantic music as well as dark and fast paced music. There’s even a couple songs that have lyrics, you know those words that most songs have outside of adult films. The level varies as well, sometimes being nicely balanced and sometimes the music is the only audio.

Menus: The main menu is nicely animated and shows quite a bit of care, which is pretty standard for Wicked. The chapter menu is fairly standard, letting you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene and a scene number.

The Feature: When Missy’s husband suddenly commits suicide, Missy’s left in a world of hurt. Her paintings aren’t selling, and even selling their house might not be able to pull her out of the trouble she’s finding herself in. The only bright spot in her life is Mickey G., a mysterious stranger who brings things out of her sexually nobody else ever has. She wants to get close to him, but he insists on keeping his life out of it and that she not question him about it.

Missy starts things out taking a break from painting to explore the new feelings she has after meeting Mickey G. earlier that day. She starts out exploring how her nipples feel after meeting him, and then moves down to feel how her pussy feels. After a bit she tries to bring her feelings together, and works over both areas until she’s interrupted by the phone. It’s a very natural first scene to the movie, and nicely mixes Missy’s explorations with her fantasies of being with Mickey. He fantasies are artistically shown as if they were part of one of her paintings, while the real world gives a nice introduction to Missy and her great body. There’s no toys here, but they wouldn’t have fit into the scene well.

Missy finds some of her fantasies come true the next time she sees Mickey. Tell Me What You Want is a very well done erotic film. Unlike most adult films, it nicely wraps itself around two people, Missy, an artist who’s life has been turned upside down, and Mickey G., a mysterious man who’s on the verge of some major trouble himself but can bring out sexual things in Missy she was never aware of before. Jonathan Morgan nicely paces things so you see a nicely done sexual transition in Missy rather than just having things snap from troubled, naive woman into a sexual beast. In addition to the plot and sexual pacing, Morgan’s artistic eye also enhances things by moving around nicely and blending together distance shots and close-ups to make for a very full feeling. Of course, without two talented people at the center of this, it would never have come off as well as it does. Missy’s a perfect choice as the female lead, as she looks extremely innocent, and can act the part just as well. On her other side, she was also a sexually ravenous beast back then, which makes her a perfect fit. At the time this feature was shot, she was also married to Mickey G., which helped provide much of the chemistry in the feature. It also helps that Mickey can act just as well as he can fuck. All combined, Tell Me What You Want is a great adult film that shows that sometimes it can be more that “just porn”.

Extras: Wicked’s standard extras, such as promotional materials, web links, the Wicked Casino, a company profile, a commercial for the Free Speech Coalition, and a list of their award winning movies, are included as well as a few extras. Audio bios are included for Missy, Kelsey, Mickey G., Mr. Marcus, Ian Daniels, and Jonathan Morgan, and as usual, are done special for this DVD. Trailers are included for The Bride of Double Feature, Dream Quest, Flashpoint, Satyr, and Vengeance. Two photo galleries are included, both of which nicely mix good looking full screen photos and snap shots and take four seconds per photo. The movie gallery lasts just over two minutes, while the behind the scenes gallery runs a bit under a minute and a half.

Anthony Crane gives Red Ezra, now a great director who’s finally getting some nice recognition, about a five minute interview. He talks about his role in the feature and his role as art director in some of Jonathan Morgan’s movies such as Double Feature!. He also talks about some of the pranks on the set, which are also shown a bit. As usual, Anthony Crane is interesting to listen to, and very entertaining. It’s a great interview and really does add quite a bit to the overall DVD.

All Access: The Making of Tell Me What You Want lasts about eighteen minutes, and once again, features the skills of Red Ezra. It nicely combines Jonathan working with the cast, the actual feature, and the behind the scenes antics of the cast and crew. As usual, the cast and some of the crew are nicely identified as they first appear on screen, so you actually know who’s who here. There’s also a few short interviews with some of the cast as Ezra makes his way around. It’s your typical Wicked behind the scenes featurette, which as usual, is very well done.

Overall: Tell Me What You Want is a great couples feature with a dark edge to it. The transfer is nicely done, but does have a few minor problems that don’t interfere much. The extras are also very nice, and include a great interview with Anthony Crane and a very good behind the scenes featurette.

Note to Wicked: It’s great to see you putting a little more into some of your older releases, especially when they’re as good as this.
