The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: For being almost ten years old, the technical aspects look and sound very good here. The audio is clear and well balanced, and the worst problem is a couple areas which sound a little hollow. The video isn’t quite as good. It’s normally clear and only has a minor hint of grain, but there’s quite a few shadows that plague a few of the scenes.

Music: The music is very nicely done. It’s nicely balanced with the rest of the audio, and has a very nice and soft feel. Unfortunately, for the subject of this movie, the music is completely wrong and felt completely off for me.

Menus: As usual, Wicked put some nice effort into the menus. The main menu is nicely animated while the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene.

The Feature

When Jenna Jameson starts getting hard up for work, her agent Peter North hooks her up with Mike Horner. Mike makes “artistic movies”, and rather than that just meaning porn, it means that he does bondage movies. As Jenna starts dipping her sexy feet into it, she finds herself feeling more and more comfortable in the world, and explores the darker world of bondage with the help of Mike, who thinks she’s made for it. The only person who doesn’t think Jenna has what it takes is Nancy Vee, Mike’s Mistress.

Scene 1 - Jenna Jameson, Stacie, and Steven St. Croix

Stacie, who’s done up in some nice fetishwear, and Steven, who’s wearing a leather hood, help Jenna as she applies for her new job. Mike Horner has her outfitted with a collar and blindfolded, so she doesn’t know who’s fingering her, who’s kissing her, and who’s caressing her. Mike steps back with his video camera to capture the action before coming back in to snap a leash on Jenna’s collar. He pulls her away and removes her blindfold before telling her she’s only to watch. Stacie gets right to work sucking Steven’s schlong as Jenna watches and touches herself. Jenna’s punished for misbehaving before Steven starts fucking Stacie from behind, and continues to watch as Stacie moves up to ride him reverse cowgirl style. They keep things going through missionary until Steven pulls out and decorates Stacie’s chest.

This is a horrible scene. Although she shouldn’t be the focus of the scene, Jenna is the only thing good about it. The rest of the action is held back by having the camera alternate between the gyno-cam and shots from the shoulder on up. It looks like Stacie and Steven are into it decently, but due to the camera work and editing I never really got much of a feel of the action.

Scene 2 - Jenna Jameson, Sabrina, and T. T. Boy

After Mike catches Jenna masturbating again, he has her change into some fetishwear and lifts her into a love swing. He has her touch herself again before bringing in Sabrina and T. T. and letting them go to Jenna’s ends. Jenna sucks T. T. while being eaten by Sabrina, and then Sabrina moves off to ride a dildo while T. T. fucks Jenna. Jenna also takes a time-out so that Sabrina can get fucked, and even watches as Sabrina takes it in her ass reverse cowgirl style. Finally, Sabrina hops off to take a facial finish.

This scene also didn’t do much for me. Jenna does a nice job, but I absolutely hated the camera work. I’m not sure there were thirty seconds out of the entire scene that gave me close to what I wanted to see, as once again it seemed to by stuck in gyno-cam mode.

Scene 3 - Jenna Jameson, Peter North, Daniella, Jake Steed, Tom Byron, Shannon Rush, Magnum, and Nancy Vee

After reporting to the Mistress Nancy, Jenna is admired by Peter, Tom, Jake, and Magnum, as well as Shannon and Daniella. They quickly break up with Daniella taking on Jake and Tom while Shannon takes on Magnum with Mistress Nancy joining in shortly later. Mistress Nancy works her way back and forth as Peter holds Jenna’s leash and they watch together. After a bit of working back and forth with her, Tom and Jake give Daniella a double penetration while Magnum and Shannon quietly fuck on another couch. Magnum gives Shannon a nice pop before Mistress Nancy strokes Tom and Jake all over Daniella. Finally, Jenna sucks Peter to a very nice facial, which she handles with her usual excellence.

This is a pretty good group scene, and one of the best scenes in the movie. The action is nicely balanced between Shannon and Daniella, and I like how Mistress Nancy worked her way between them. Both Shannon and Daniella do a good job here, and put some nice enthusiasm into it. I have a feeling that Shannon and Magnum are real life partners, as they had that type of chemistry coming across. The camera work is a little better, but not great.

Scene 4 - Jenna Jameson, Anna Amore, and Taboo

Jenna gets a crash course in dildos from Anna and Taboo in the next scene. She sucks each of them before riding Anna’s strap-on reverse cowgirl style. She also lets Taboo fuck her from behind while she sucks Anna’s plastic cock before they go their separate ways as if the porno timer went off.

This is an okay scene. There’s some nice potential to start with, but the scene doesn’t do much with it. It feels way too short, and almost seems like it’s there just so the movie can claim it has an all girl scene. Jenna does a nice job with the strap-ons, but by the end it feels more like a tease than anything.

Scene 5 - Jenna Jameson and Nancy V

Mistress Nancy puts Jenna to the test to see if she can handle it in the world she and Mike live in. She gives Jenna a few directions to see how Jenna follows orders before taking Jenna over her knee and paddling her ass. Mistress Nancy has Jenna stick her ass up in the air so she can tongue her twat and fuck it with a jelly double dong before joining her on the other end of it. Jenna takes hot wax on her ass before cuffing Nancy and giving her a set of nipple clamps and a bit of hot wax. Finally, “Mistress Jenna” fingers Nancy’s holes while spanking her. Things come to a close as the girls look like they’re about finished, although I can’t see either of them being sexually satisfied.

This is an okay scene. It starts out with a nice fetish aspect, but turns into a pretty standard lesbian scene. Most anybody who knows a little about bondage or S&M knows that Jenna would not be allowed to raise her hand against her mistress, let along cuff her and put her through the treatment she did. Yes, it’s supposed to be a test, but this just doesn’t seem right! Heck, even if it is part of the test, when Jenna gets to be the mistress Nancy should have been punished for her harsh tongue. I know I’m probably focusing on the wrong thing here, but maybe that is what says the most about the scene.

Scene 6 - Jenna Jameson and Mike Horner

Finally, Jenna blindfolds Mike while undressing him. She lays him back and lets him eat her pussy without the blindfold. She sucks Mike’s cock before riding him cowgirl style, and then lets Mike fuck her as she lies on her side. Finally, Mike pulls out and sprays his load across Jenna’s thighs and all that’s between them.

This is an okay scene that ended up disappointing me mostly due to its focus. By this point in the movie this should have been a fairly heavy fetish or B&D scene, yet there’s almost none of it here. When Mike calls Jenna “mistress” it seems almost like it’s a joke due to the rest of the scene. Although they had nice chemistry between each other and nice energy, this scene missed me once again.

Although The Kiss has a nice idea behind it, it never seems to come close to its full potential. I love the idea of a newbie being introduced to the world of fetish and bondage, and having somebody as gorgeous as Jenna do it makes it all the better due to some of the stereotypes of people who like it. The problem here is that the bondage aspect almost seems like it’s treated as a joke. The domination aspect seems to only be there by having one person call another “mistress”, and that seems to come and go throughout the scenes. Even worse is that the scenes seem a bit unfocused. There’s plenty of lesbian scenes in the movie, and every one ended seeming like the porno timer went off rather than one or both of the girls looking fulfilled. The couples scenes are a little better, but the camera work here is so focused on emphasizing the gyno-cam with close-ups that in some scenes I wasn’t even sure if both people were into the sex. By the time The Kiss was half over I was mostly bored and found myself wondering if anybody involved with the movie had any experience with the world the movie was about. The Kiss is a decent idea, but that’s about it.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Wicked’s DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $30 with many stores offering them for around $21. Rent this one before you buy it. There’s a decent idea, but it’s far from one of Jenna’s best movies or a good B&D movie. The technical aspects are very nicely done, as usual with Wicked, but there’s not much other than their standard extras here.

Note to Wicked Pictures: It’s great to see you giving your older movies such a nice transfer! I wish a few other studios would learn from what you’re doing.
