Initial Expectations: I’ve only seen a little of Stormy, but it was impressive enough that I really want to see more!

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don’t think I heard a single background noise. The video has a soft feeling. There’s almost a hint of grain, and it’s nicely lit. The video helps give the feature a bit of an artistic feeling without getting too carried away.

Music: The music is a bit on the loud side, but it’s unique and pleasing to the ear.

Menus: As usual with Wicked, the menus show some good care. The main menu is nicely animated and works in a few clips from the feature. The chapter menu is pretty simple and lets you choose a scene from a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

When flim-flam man Randy Spears’ vehicle breaks down after finishing a string of cons, he meets Stormy. She gives him a ride to the mechanic’s shop, and overhears that he’s sitting on close to a hundred grand in cash after his string of scams. Stormy arranges for Randy to be around a few extra days while waiting for his car parts to arrive, and with the help of her jealous boyfriend, trouble finds its way to Randy.

Scene 1 - Stormy and Brad Armstrong

Stormy starts out Heat with her first boy-girl scene with the lucky Brad Armstrong. Brad tongues and fingers Stormy’s snatch before climbing up on the bed and letting Stormy suck and stroke his spitting snake. She lays back to let Brad bone her beaver missionary style before climbing up and riding him reverse cowgirl style. Finally, she gets down and sucks Brad’s cock until he pops in her mouth.

For being her first boy-girl scene, Stormy does a great job! If I didn’t know this was her first boy-girl scene, there’s no way I would have even suspected it. She puts some nice energy into the scene, and as usual looks absolutely fucking gorgeous! It’s a nicely done scene, and easy to see why Wicked signed Stormy to a contract.

Scene 2 - Lezley Zen and Steve Hatcher

Lezley Zen and Steve Hatcher get busy in Steve’s service station for the second scene. They exchange oral favors with a little intensity before Steve nails Lezley missionary style. He also bangs her from behind and lets her ride him reverse cowgirl style. Finally, Lezley Zen gets down to takes Steve’s spooge spray right on her tongue.

Scene 3 - Stormy and Felecia

Stormy gets it on with Felecia next. Felecia quickly attacks Stormy’s pussy with her tongue and fingers. Stormy returns the favor, eating Felecia both from the front and back. Story lets her tongue wander up to take care of Felecia’s ass before the scene finally fades out.

This is a pretty good scene. There’s nice chemistry between Stormy and Felecia, and Stormy looks to get into it pretty well with the little smile that appears on her face and the naughty look in her eyes. My biggest complaint here is that the scene fades out rather than coming to a decent end.

Scene 4 - Stormy and Randy Spears

Stormy gets it on with Randy Spears next. She licks and sucks his cock before laying back for him to kiss her kitty. Stormy takes a little control back by riding Randy reverse cowgirl and letting him fuck her from behind. Finally, Stormy takes a nice creamy finish from Randy across her face.

This is another very good scene. Stormy and Randy put together great energy as well as chemistry, and make this another great scene. Once again, it’s easy to see why Wicked signed a relatively new performer like Stormy to a contract!

Scene 5 - Shyla Stylez and Brad Armstrong

Brad Armstrong and Shyla Stylez take the penultimate position. Brad plays with Shyla under her clothes while kissing her until she drops down to suck his cock. Shyla rides Brad reverse cowgirl style before laying back on a tractor and letting him take her missionary style. She turns around and lets Brad poke each of her holes before taking his nutty goodness on her tongue.

This is a pretty hot scene once again! Shyla and Brad put some great energy into the scene, and Shyla looks like she likes it in the ass even more than in her pussy. My only complaint here is that until the anal is coming to a close, the scene concentrates a little much on panning close-ups that left me a little frustrated.

Scene 6 - Summer Storm and Randy Spears

Randy Spears finishes things up with waitress Summer Storm. Summer happily gets on her knees to worship Randy’s cock before bending over the lunch counter and letting him bury his boner without even taking off any of her clothes or warming her up. Randy undresses Summer as they fuck, fucking her against the counter and then giving it to her missionary style on the stools. Finally Summer gets down to take an impressive facial.

This is a pretty good scene to finish things up with. It has a nicely different feel with Summer keeping her clothes on. Summer doesn’t get as intense as usual, but turns in a very good scene.

Heat is an impressive adult film that reminds me a bit of Knockout (one of my favorite movies which I think deserved a lot more attention than it received). Yes, there’s good sex and it stays just slightly artistic without getting too artistic. Stormy does an amazing job in each of her scenes, and shows just why she’s a star to pay attention to. What really reminded me of Knockout was the feel of the plot. It has some of the same humanity in it and a bit of the idea of people doing what they have to in order to get by while also finding a little romance. Stormy does a great job here as the not so innocent vixen, and Brad and Randy do a great job in their respective rolls. No, it’s not a deep plot, and it isn’t just an excuse to get people fucking either, but it was enough that I was drawn right into it and actually cared for what happened to the characters. This isn’t a common thing in adult films, so it really stood out to me. Heat is an extremely enjoyable adult film which, although not perfect, I can’t help but highly recommend.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about a minute and three quarters with about four seconds per nice looking snapshot. There’s also a behind the scenes gallery which lasts about a minute and star galleries for Stormy, Felecia, and Lezley Zen which last between three quarters of a minute and a minute and a half. Bios are also included for Stormy, Felecia, Lezley Zen, Brad Armstrong, and Randy Spears with a little personal information, a few photos, and a link to the star’s scene. Trailers are included for The Bride of Double Feature, Crazed, Double Feature!, Dream Quest, Flashpoint, Heartache, Hell on Heels, The Kissing Game, Knockout, Pornogothic, Satyr, Sex Safari, Spellbound, Vengeance, and Working Girl. There’s also a list of AVN and Wicked DVD winners and nominations, weblinks, the Wicked Casino, promotional materials, a company profile, and a commercial for the Free Speech Coalition. Finally, there’s bloopers, a behind the scenes featurette, interviews, and an audio commentary with Stormy and Brad Armstrong.

The blooper reel lasts over six minutes. As usual you get a little physical humor from things going wrong and plenty of flubbed lines, but surprisingly there aren’t any sexual bloopers. Since Randy Spears is around there’s a few fun lines that should put a smile on your face. It’s a nice little blooper reel that has some decent humor.

Interviews are included with Stormy, Lezley Zen, Steve Hatcher, Brad Armstrong, and Shyla Stylez. Stormy’s interview lasts about a minute and a half, where she talks about her role, her accent, and doing dialogue and talking in front of people. Lezley Zen’s interview lasts about two and a half minute, and she talks about being out of shape, her role, and some of the problem with shooting orgies. Steve Hatcher talks about working with Lezley Zen for his interview for just over two minutes. Brad Armstrong’s interview takes about two and a quarter minutes to talk about the path his life has taken to bring him to porno and his time as a male stripper. Finally, Shyla Stylez takes a couple minutes to talk about who and what she’s doing in the movie and watching and getting into porn.

All Access: The Making of Heat lasts over a half hour and features camera work by Mark Stone. As usual, all the major players are nicely identified as they take the screen, so you know who everybody is as you watch it if this is one of your first porno experiences. Mark makes his way around the shoot, talking to both the cast and the crew, and getting several nice interviews with them. He also captures some of the still photos being shot as well as the actual scenes. It’s a nicely done behind the scenes featurette, which is nothing new for Wicked!

Stormy and Brad Armstrong also team up for an audio commentary. Sadly, it’s one of the worst commentaries I’ve heard from Wicked, and probably the worst I’ve heard for two person commentaries. I think there’s more dead air than talking, and when there was talking there was very little interaction between Stormy and Brad. Brad tries to get things going, but Stormy seemed like either she didn’t want to talk about anything in any detail or that she was too into the movie to care about what he said. As an example, when Brad asks her how Randy was to work with, her answer was “Okay” followed by a long silence while Brad appeared to be trying to figure out how to get her to say anything else. I normally love Wicked’s commentaries, but you can easily skip this one without missing much of anything.

As usual, there’s also a few easter eggs. One gives a little look at things trying to move on after a little problem on the set. Another shows just how dedicated a guy Randy Spears can be and how much he gives of himself to his art. There’s even one showing Brad Armstrong taking on one of the local swamp inhabitants. They’re mildly amusing, but nothing to pull your hair out until you look like Ed “Ewwww” Powers over if you can’t find them.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Wicked’s DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $30 with many stores offering them for around $21. If you want a plot with your sex, this one’s going to be well worth the money. The movie is extremely enjoyable, the technical aspects are well done, and there are plenty of extras. Wicked’s put out another top notch DVD here.
