What differentiates a standard porn flick from
a masterpiece?
Is it the performer(s)? No! Is it the director?
Or perhaps the editor? Again no! What really makes the difference is the "chemistry". The so-called interaction between performers. That's mainly the reason why so many presumed masterpieces simply don't have "it".
Want a perfect example of some excellent chemistry?
Watch Jenna's girl/girl performance in "Virtual Reality 69". This scene will knock you (and your friend/girlfriend) of your feet! Why? Because what you see is two young girls who seem to know exactly what the other likes. As you already may have noticed is this has this particular film one of my favourite sex-scenes...but does it make VR-69 a masterpiece?
Unfortunately the answer here is no. This movie offers you two really hot sex-scenes(both with Jenna involved) but the rest of the movie is gravy. Many scenes are shot with hardly enough light to get a clear view. The positions are standard and the action looks staged. I like a movie with a clear view, which means enough light so I don't have to stare in order to discover a couple of bodies having sex.
The intensity and brightness in Jenna's scenes could / should have been better but in her scenes the lack of light also creates an atmosphere that really draws your attention. It works mysterious and pulls your eye closer to the TV-screen.
Camerawork in this film is of a very good quality and you will not find many shadows, caused by people on the set. The sound is of an more than average quality. You can actually hear what the girls say when they whisper. Best technical aspect about this DVD is the quality of the images. When you consider this a film from April 11 1995 than you have a razor-sharp image. Not unimportant...there's are hardly any special effects or editing tricks which would only have ruined your pleasure watching hot) sex.
In my personal opinion: of all girl/girl Jenna performed in, this scene with Nikki Tyler is still her best...because of the previous mentioned chemistry. This special feeling the girls spread during their performance is exceptional and unfortunately something which you will miss in Jenna's scene with Briana Banks in Briana loves Jenna. Nor will you sense it with Nikki in Hell on Heels and many other films. Despite of what everyone tells you...no other girl/girl scene even gets close to the quality of the girl/girl action in Virtual Reality 69.
When you buy this DVD...you will buy it because of Jenna / Nikki and the final boy/girl scene between Jenna and Steven St. Croix. (One minor point here: The man wears a condom!)As good as these scenes are, unfortunately the movie itself will not give you very much satisfaction.
This DVD is a must for every Jenna fan.
Last but not least...This DVD offers you all the extra features Wicked normally offers. Photogallery, bios, etc. (Oh...don't forget to search for the "eggs"!) The editor at Wicked hides them on every DVD. Check it out! You will be surpised how many "extras" these DVD have!
