Initial Expectations: Wicked and Brad Armstrong normally make a great DVD, so I’ve got high expectations.

Initial Reaction: It’s a really good movie with Alexa showing what she’s got both sexually and as an actress. Sadly, the sex doesn’t keep up with the plot.

Who Should Watch It : Couples, fans of oral sex and masturbation, and anybody who likes a well written porno

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for really hardcore sex or a lot of long sex scenes

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Wicked, both are top notch. The audio is extremely well balanced and the picture looks great.

Music: The music is pretty average but balances very nicely with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The menus are nicely done with clips from the movie. It’s a nice film-like effect.

The Feature: After a car accident during an emergency ice cream run, Alexa goes from innocent little girl to Wild Thing . Before the accident, she won’t even have sex until after she and Randy Spears are married. After the accident, she loses some of her ability to tell right from wrong, which seems like a great porno plot.

Good little girl Alexa starts out by reminding her fiancé Randy Spears that no means no until after they’re married. Of course, that doesn’t apply to blowjobs in pornos, as she crawls down to suck his cock. I’m guessing the same exception also explains the implants. Due to his age, I assume, Randy can’t hold back and quickly lets go with his load that Alexa directs back onto his stomach.

Randy and Alexa celebrating her coming out of a coma by boffing in the hospital. They both give each other a little oral before Alexa tells Randy she’s ready to be fucked. Randy gives it to Alexa in a couple positions before blowing his load to the air. It’s a fairly hot scene that does a good job of starting to show Alexa’s transformation.

While the doctor’s away, the patients will play. Alexa diddles herself for a little while until Doctor Mike Horner returns. It’s a very short scene but it might be enough for some masturbation fans.

After returning home from the hospital, Alexa sneaks out of bed to watch guests Sydnee Steele (now a Wicked contract girl) and Alec Metro fuck. It’s an okay scene but Sydnee’s done a lot better in other scenes.

Alexa plays with herself while watching Alec get a little more action the next day, this time from Gina Ryder. Gina seems to be sadly underrated. She looks great here as well as doing a great job. She starts by giving Alec some great head before he pulls her panties aside with his teeth to eat and finger her. Alec fucks her pussy a little before moving on to Gina’s ass, which she really seems to enjoy. Before she can make him cum, Gina gets a phone call and has to leave. Luckily Alexa was watching out the window so she can finish him off. She comes in, drops to her knees, and aggressively sucks his cock and balls with a some kissing thrown in as well. He gives a nice finale, blowing his load across her neck. This was the hottest scene so far and both girls do a great job.

Alexa masturbates while remembering getting it on with Shay Sweet in a tattoo parlor. I’ve never found Shay Sweet that attractive, so others might like it more than I did. Alexa fucks her ass with a vibe while remembering about fingering Shay’s ass while wearing a rubber glove. It’s another fairly short scene that was fairly warm. I would have liked a little more focus on Alexa masturbating rather than seeing her with Shay, but they’re edited together quite nicely.

Alexa stops at a park and seduces Ian Daniels as he walks his dog. They go back to his vehicle and she sucks him off in the driver’s seat. It’s another extremely short scene that might give a lot of guys some confidence as they can probably hold out longer while getting a hummer than Ian does here.

Alexa works her way onto Jonathan Morgan in the office next. She goes down on him with a very good blowjob before hopping up to ride him reverse cowgirl in his chair and let him fuck her from behind on the desk. They both do a decent job, but once again, the scene seemed way too short.

Alexa heads back to the men’s room with Miko Lee and Mark Davis for a little more action after sucking off Devin Wolf in the back room of a bar. They do a great job of switching off while sucking him off before he pile drivers Miko. Alexa doesn’t help much here, but Miko does when Alexa gets her turn. Miko does a great job here and has some great intensity. She pulls Mark out to suck on him a little more as well as eat Alexa’s pussy a little before having Mark fuck her ass. Alexa gets in the anal action a little as well as Alexa fingers her ass and pussy while watching. Mark finishes things off by blowing his load over both of their tongues. This is one of the hottest scenes in the movie, mostly thanks to Miko. Alexa’s there, but doesn’t do much for a lot of the scene.

Wild Thing showcases Alexa wonderfully. It’s a decent plot and the cast does a great job with it. Brad Armstrong’s direction also raises the quality of the non-sex scenes very well. He’s got a great eye and it’s really working this time. Sadly, I didn’t think the sex scenes went as well as the non-sex scenes. They were often very short, with most of them under six minutes, and didn’t build a lot of heat. They were also very short on the women getting some oral pleasure, which I always enjoy watching. They fit very well with the storyline, but they aren’t enough to strongly carry the movie. If you’re a fan of Alexa I’m sure you’ll like it, but others might want to rent it first.

Extras: As with many of Wicked’s top releases, Brad Armstrong and Alexa give an audio commentary and have a lot of fun. Brad’s his normal self and Alexa really strikes me like a high school cheerleader type. Red Ezra also pipes in here and there as well. As usual with adult films, everything doesn’t completely add up, such as suddenly switching from day to night, and Brad and Alexa both have a lot of fun with it. Brad’s also good for quite a few other fun comments throughout the feature, such as teasing Alexa about not taking a cock up her fudgehole. Brad and Alexa do get serious and Brad talks a lot about some of technical aspects. It’s a pretty good commentary and adds a bit to the feature.

All Access: The Making of Wild Thing lasts about thirty two minutes with Ezra doing his normal great job with the camera work capturing the shoot day by day. In addition to showing almost every sex scene, several of the plot scenes are included and everybody is nicely labeled on screen, so you know who they are. The only people missing are Mark Davis and Shay Sweet. Ezra appears to have great timing to catch a lot of the bloopers as well as being there for the serious things such as the photo shoots. There are also some nice interviews with the cast and crew, especially with Gina Ryder who really shines and comes off as an extremely real and sexual person. Alexa, however, didn’t impress me much. I’m kind of surprised she lasted as long as she did in the adult industry after watching this. Thankfully, Ezra also caught some of Jonathan Morgan’s antics. Every time I see him I can’t help but think of him as the Jim Carrey of porn. Of course, you also get to see how Brad does a lot of the things in his movies, which I always find interesting. It’s a very nice behind the scenes that gives a nice overview of the cast.

The interview with Alexa lasts about two and a quarter minutes and is fairly amusing. She talks about her tattoo and working with Brad Armstrong and the people on the set. It’s a nice little taste of Alexa, and as sad as it is to say, after watching this interview I’m kind of surprised she lasted as long as she did in the adult film industry.

Wild Thing also includes a great extra that I haven’t seen anywhere. It’s about a ten minute featurette on molding Alexa’s body for sex toys with Ed Miller from Pipe Dreams. He appears to be kind of like the Martha Stewart of porn. He has a lot of fun and is also very informative. He gives a nice step by step of the process while explaining what they’re using as they do it. It isn’t something I think many people will try at home, but I strongly urge you to remember to shave! I doubt that I’ll watch this featurette many more times, but for at least once it’s very interesting.

As usual with Wicked, two photo galleries are included. The production photo gallery lasts about two and three quarter minutes and the behind the scenes photo gallery lasts about two and a half minutes. All the pictures look great and are framed. They mix smaller snapshot style photos with near full screen shots very nicely.

The other standard Wicked extras are here for Wild Thing as well. Audio bios are included for Alexa, Gina Ryder, Sydnee Steele, Miko Lee, Randy Spears, Mark Davis, and Brad Armstrong. Once again, Wicked appears to have designed the bio screens to better fit the feature. Trailers are included for Sex Safari , In Style , Heart & Soul , and Spellbound . Finally, Wicked’s company profile, the Wicked Web, Wicked Casino, and a list of Wicked’s AVN winners and nominees are included as well as a commercial for the Free Speech Coalition.

Overall: Currently, Wild Thing can be found online for between $25 and $30 with most stores offering it for about $28. Wicked really went all out here, so it’s earned the higher price tag. Although it’s very well written and well acted, the sex isn’t quite as good. The audio and video are both excellent and the extras are top notch.

Note to Wicked: Wow! You really went all out here and it paid off even though I didn’t think the movie was quite as hot as most of your releases. If all of your DVDs were like this technically I wouldn’t ever complain about the price tag.
