Initial Expectations: Brad Armstrong normally makes a good feature, and Wicked normally makes a very good DVD, so I have fairly high hopes.

Initial Reaction: It’s pretty good but I was expecting a little more of a plot.

Audio /Video Quality: Wicked almost always gives a great transfer, and this is no exception. The audio is normally very well balanced and the video is extremely clear. There are some spots where the lighting doesn’t look natural, but it isn’t enough to really interfere with the scene.

Music: The music is slightly overbearing, but not a lot. It’s a little different from the standard porno music but normally fits the scenes nicely. The last scene, however, is an exception where the music actually takes some heat away from the scene.

Disc Problems: The menu selection in the audio bios didn’t seem to work too well. I kept trying to go back to the menu and instead kept alternating between Missy and Melissa Hill. I can think of a lot worse problems than having to look at those two!

Menus: The menus have a nice bit of animation and are broken apart by a passing ship.

The Feature: Long ago there was a TV show called The Love Boat where everybody who came on board seemed to fall in love. Dangerous Tides . goes a little better by having everybody who comes aboard get fucked. Thankfully, the girls are beautiful and the clothes are optional. What they didn’t plan on, however, was a standard SOS rescue turning into a boatload of drug smugglers taking over the ship. Somebody on the crew was involved with them and they’re not going to stop until they find him, get their drugs, and get a little revenge.

Swinging couples Steve Drake and Ruby and Eric Price and Yvonne get to know each other a lot better on the deck of the cruise ship to start things off. Both women apparently weren’t too fond of their natural hair color or natural endowments. Steve’s really into videotaping his wife, which immediately piques Yvonne’s curiosity. It suffers a little in a couple scenes, but that’s about it. Fans of Jenna are sure to be pleased as she’s in half of the scenes in the movie.

It’s the standard audio bio that Wicked has used for so long and includes a lot of personal information as well as a listing of her other Wicked releases and a link to the star’s scene. Both the production and the behind the scenes photo gallery last two minutes apiece with about five seconds per nicely framed picture. Trailers are included for Hell on Heels , Dream Quest , Satyr , and Spellbound . The usual extras of Wicked’s AVN and DVD winners and nominations, the Wicked Wed, Wicked’s company profile, and the Wicked Casino are also here as well as the commercial for the free speech coalition. New on this DVD is a collection of Wicked’s promotional material. It’s a nice commercial for a lot of what Wicked’s released over the years. A lot of it is made up of Wicked’s trailers and I know there’s quite a few titles that I really want to see now.

Overall: Currently, Dangerous Tides can be found online for between $25.50 and $30 with most stores offering it for about $28. If you’re a fan of Jenna or a couple other girls here it’s probably worth the price. The sex is hot and the transfer is very good. The extras are pretty standard for Wicked, but I don’t think their other extras would have added that much to the feature here.
