Laure Sainclair is again spotlighted in this Marc Dorcel video imported from the land of soft, smelly cheese and Jerry Lewis groupies and courtesy of Wicked Pictures. LES NUITS DE LA PRESIDENTE has been retitled THE FIRST LADY, which is a convenient if inaccurate translation for those who only took Spanish in high school. Even though this movie is less than two hours long, director Alain Payet manages to cram in a lot of tension and intrigue throughout eleven different and distinctive sexual situations. Yet, the movie never feels rushed, and the sex scenes are perfectly edited according to pace. The premise of the film, which is as original as they come in porn, Ms. Sainclair plays the President during the day, and a literal woman of the night, who is being blackmailed by some mystery villain" looks like a cross between Truman Capote and the Nazi who gets his face melted at the end of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Basically, the lovely temptress stars as a small-town girl fresh in the big city looking for work. While resting her tired feet at a bus-stop, she peruses the want-ads and can't help but imagine the sexual situations she might get into as she ponders different jobs. Basically, a number of vignettes follow starring Temptress in either an active or observer role to the action. I have to admit that when Stephanie Swift first came onto the blue movie scene, I was not much of a fan. There was no doubt that she's cute as hell, and since I have a special effection for raven-haired brunettes, Ms. Swift should have been placed high on my list of new favorites...But for some reason, I chose to overlook her many porn appearances while searching for titles starring Inari Vachs or Tera Patrick; I just wasn't that interested. However, thanks to the good people at Wicked and Adult DVD Talk, I have now jumped on the bandwagon (as I recently have done with Jenna Jameson based on her appearance in UP AND CUMMERS #11 --- better late than never) and have become a Stephanie Swift devotee with SEX SAFARI, a star vehicle which shows this sexy thing at her best. Of course, the overwhelming use of rubbers in all the "poking the whiskers" scenes can be a bit intrusive in a porn fantasy, but what the hell...this DVD is a digital wet dream for any fan of hers. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" I have to say, I think "Double Feature" is one of the few pornos that could actually have a chance in the mainstream. This movie works very well as a comedy, and yet still has some very well done, although not always all that daring, sex. Movie Content: Other reviews have gone through this movie scene by scene, so I'll just do a general overview. The first feature that we see is a Sci-Fi spoof, with three female aliens coming down, and turning the men of earth in to sex slaves. This is the better of the two featured stories when it comes to comedy, but the weaker of the two when it comes to sex. There are really no stand out sex scenes in this section, although the scene with Jewel D'nyle and Herschal Savage is fairly hot, and you can tell that both of them are in to it. The rest of the scenes are fairly vanilla. Although there are two group scenes in this part, both of them fall a little flat. Why am I reviewing this movie now? Well, I've never seen it before. Flashpoint was filmed in 1997 and debuted on VHS in 1998 (I think); the eagerly-anticipated DVD followed in 1999. After enjoying Loaded (featuring Jesse Jane) recently, I thought I'd give a shot at one of the most celebrated adult feature films in the last five or so years. Without a doubt, Jenna Jameson is the biggest adult film star since the late Nineties, but to be honest, I can't count myself amongst the Jenna worshippers. I don't know why this is; she's actually a decent actress and her sex scenes are usually very high caliber. Flashpoint's cast reads like a Who's Who in porn for the late Nineties. We've seen all of them in scenes after this, but watching this 6+ years after it was shot makes them look especially nice; it's like watching Faye Dunaway in Chinatown. Hopefully its as good as I remember. Initial Reaction: Its a lot of fun and has some good sex as well. Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for a really fun adult feature Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who just wants down and dirty nasty fucking Audio /Video Quality: The audio is a little off balance and hard to hear at times, but isnt any worse than the average porno.
