Initial Expectations: I was very impressed with The Loves of Laure and I don’t have any reason to expect The Obsession of Laure to be any different.

Initial Reaction: The DVD is a little short on extras, but the movie is very hot. I’ve got to pick up more of the Marc Dorcel movies Wicked is releasing.

Audio /Video Quality: The video is very clear and about what you’d normally expect from Wicked. There’s a little bit of grain in the darker scenes and some soft focus problems. Neither interfere with the movie too much. The audio appears to be dubbed in all of the languages. It’s very clear but poorly balanced. There are several language options which allow you to hear the movie in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. If this isn’t enough, it has subtitles in Portugese, Danish, and Swedish.

Music: The music is slightly overpowering but a very different style from American porn. It’s fun and dreamlike and adds to the different feel of the movie.

Review: The Obsession of Laure revolves around a family (Vicca, Christophe Clark, and a guy who plays their son) in Budapest who hires a French tutor (Laure Sainclair) for their son. Also in the mix are their maid (Anita Blonde) and Christophe’s secretary (Nikita). During Laure’s time with them, Christophe becomes obsessed with Laure and, like most other men, wants to sleep with her. I had some fairly high expectations for both Nikita and Vicca as they have done a great job in American porn and I expected more with the looser European porn. I already knew that Laure and Anita wouldn’t disappoint. Thankfully I wasn’t disappointed.

Christophe starts things off in his office with Nadia. Apparently, he’s a psychologist and she’s come to see him for help as her husband is drawing her into his fetishes. Her husband’s fetish happens to be seeing her with two other men. In American porn, this would be a reason for an entire scene between Nadia and two men. Here, it’s a very short flash of a double penetration that lasts maybe a minute. Like American porn, this gets her in the mood to do Christophe while Nikita peeks from around the corner. Nadia has some stubble, but otherwise is good looking with real tits. It’s a pretty good scene and shouldn’t disappoint most people except for the implied internal cum shot at the end. In the middle of the scene, Chris takes a phone call from his wife reminding her to pick up Laure.

Laure checks out her room after she arrives and masturbates. Unbeknownst to her, Christophe and Vicca’s son Marcus watches her. It’s a great masturbation scene and although there aren’t any toys, it’s still very hot. Laure really knows how to work her body and it’s a joy to see her let her fingers do the walking.

While Laure is getting the feel of her new surroundings, Vicca goes to the pool wearing white lingerie to see her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is more interested in lifting weights at first, so Vicca warms herself up until he comes to his senses and comes over to fuck her. Vicca’s masturbation is the only foreplay in the scene which is a little disappointing, but she looked so hot that I didn’t care about not seeing her oral skills. I soon forgot about it as I watched Vicca get fucked from a couple different angles thanks to the mirrors around the pool. It made for a very erotic scene.

During dinner, Marco follows Laure as she gets a bottle of wine and convinces her to give him a blowjob. Laure robs him of the cum shot by rushing back to the dinner table before he can blow his load. It’s a nice tease and we get to see Laure’s talents one by one rather than all in one scene.

After dinner everybody goes to bed and Vicca and Christophe get down to business. Their maid, Anita Blonde, watches from the doorway and joins in after a little while. There’s some really good camera angles to this scene, especially one that’s shot from between and behind Anita’s legs. It shows all the action between Vicca and Christophe while at the same time allowing you to see Anita’s fingers working her plump pussy. After Anita joins in Vicca turns into more of a helper. It’s a very hot scene but I was a little turned off at some of the anal gape in it.

At the same time, Marco catches Laure masturbating while reading a book. He makes a move on her that she resists, but she gives in a short time later. It’s a hot scene but very short.

The next day, Laure goes to the pool and gets a massage from Vicca’s boyfriend. It doesn’t take long for the massage to move from external to internal and Vicca watches the entire scene unfold from the doorway while masturbating. Laure shows her anal skills here and the mirrors are used every bit as good here as they were in Vicca’s scene. Every time I see Laure do a scene like this I’m thankful that Wicked is continuing to release her films on DVD.

Back at the office, Chris is upset with Nikita that his desk is so dirty. Nikita realizes that the best way to clean a desk is to have two hot naked bodies fuck on it and strips down to start masturbating. Christophe follows suit (less) and they soon find themselves bumping uglies. Nikita is every bit as good here as she is in her current American films. I can see now why people were so happy when she came to America where her films could be seen more frequently.

After refusing to sleep with Christophe, Laure relaxes in the tub. Being used to cleaning, Anita joins her in a short but sweet scene. It was a good scene, but it wasn’t long enough to build too much heat. I was a little disappointed after the scene they had together in The Loves of Laure .

Marco wants to teach Laure a little something in return for her teaching him French and takes her out to see Budapest. After a little preliminaries on a snowy car hood, they move inside a building to have sex on a stair landing. It’s a very hot scene and Marco and Laure remove just enough to make fucking easy. The scene is a little darker than most and it gives the scene a little bit of a forbidden, realistic feel.

Christophe and Vicca decide to throw a party which turns into more of an orgy. While Laure takes on one of the guests, Christophe takes on Anita Dark and Anita Blonde. Anita Dark isn’t bad looking but she has some very dark scars. Once again, Chris tries to fuck Laure, but she pushes him away. Although he’s upset, he still has the consolation of being able to bang both Anitas. It’s a decent group scene but I would have liked to see a little bit of interaction between the groups.

Finally, Christophe sends Laure away for not sleeping with him. Apparently there aren’t many sexual harassment laws in Budapest. When he fucks Vicca that night he keeps seeing Laure. It’s a well done but kind of interesting scene. It’s also quite hot and a great way to end the movie.

The Obsession of Laure has some very nice touches that are very different from American porn. There’s a lot of mirror usage that you normally don’t see. It’s very artistic and sexy and really adds to the movie. In some places it allows you to have two views of the same scene at one time. There’s also a lot of masturbation. Almost every scene has a bit of masturbation that adds to the tease of the scene. Finally, the scenes aren’t always full scenes. The scenes are also would into the plot more than they normally are in American porn. It gives the feel that the world doesn’t stop for the people who are boinking away. Well, at least it doesn’t stop for them.

Extras: The manual photo gallery contains 20 pictures that are all very clear. Bios are included for Laure Sainclair, Anita Dark, and Victoria Queen (Vicca). Each bio contains a small amount of personal information as well as a list of some of their other movies. Finally, there’s internet information.

Overall: Currently, The Obsession of Laure can be found online for between $21 and $30 with most stores offering it for under $25. If you’re at all interested in European porn or something different, it’s a good place to start. It’s about the same quality as many of Wicked’s American releases but lacks extras.

Note to Wicked: A few more extras would be nice on these DVDs as most American’s aren’t at all familiar with European stars.
