The Short Story

Initial Expectations: With a cast like this in a Wicked feature, how could I not have high expectations?

Initial Reaction: It’s better than most adult films, but a little not quiet as good as others I’ve seen from Brad Armstrong and Wicked.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for a fun and well balanced adult film that doesn’t bother with a plot and Temptress fans

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for more extreme sex or a well developed plot and anybody who doesn’t care for Temptress

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Wicked, the technical aspects are very well done. The audio can be a little on the low side, but is normally clear and well balanced. The video is also very clear, but is a little on the dark side in places.

Music: The music is normally a little on the loud side, and frequently the only audio. It has a little variation, but most of it is pretty typical porn music.

Menus: The main menu has some nice clips of the feature, but the selections are very dark and sometimes hard to make out. The chapter menu lists each scene by a scene number and a small clip of the scene. It’s a standard way of showing the chapters, and looks great here, but I really wish Wicked would list at least the female performer in each scene.

The Feature

Temptress leads the way in this Brad Armstrong vignette feature as a small town girl new to the big city. Of course, one of the first things she needs when she gets there is a job, so she picks up the paper and starts looking for what’s available. Of course, since this is a porno, she has a dirty mind and we’re taken into each of her sexual fantasies about each job.

Scene 1 - Temptress and Mark Davis

Temptress starts things off fantasizing about being a cop with Mark Davis. After plenty of posing with around the car, aiming her pistol, and giving several good cop sneers, she makes a move on Mark Davis. Temptress gives things a little bit of a rough start as she kisses and bites her way across Mark’s chest before dropping down to suck his cock. She does a great job sucking him off, and repeatedly takes him into her throat without any problem. Mark returns the favor by licking her bald pussy to warm her up before working through several fairly standard positions on and around the hood of the car such as missionary, doggie, and reverse cowgirl, as well as a little bit of standing sex. Although tt’s a pretty hot scene, it did seem a little mechanical at times. Mark and Temptress have above average chemistry, but there seemed to be a little something missing from the scene. Perhaps it was the lack of any real audio outside of the music, which is something that almost always hurts a scene for me. The scene also takes place at night, and although you can see everything between Mark, Temptress, and the car with its cherries lit up, it still had a kind of dark feel.

Scene 2 - Temptress and Devin Wolf

Temptress imagines being a road construction worker next. Temptress starts things out giving plenty of hot poses for the camera, which the camera catches extremely well. Almost any shot here could be easily taken and used in almost any upper scale adult magazine. Devin Wolf watches Temptress from behind the wheel on his backhoe before coming out to le this tongue see just how salty the sweat on Temptess’ nipples is. She does some checking of her own, pulling his cock out and sucking it while giving it some nice hand work. She even manages to take it all the way down into her throat without losing her hardhat. Devin returns the favor by energetically licking and fingering the tempting twat. He gives her clit some nice attention, and Temptress gives him a helping hand to make sure he gets enough pressure before he fucks her from behind. They move on to some nice reverse cowgirl before Temptress takes Devin’s nut butter in her mouth.

This is a pretty good scene that has some nice chemistry. The visuals are great here once again, as Brad Armstrong puts together a great mix of distance shots and close-ups.

Scene 3 - Sydnee Steele and Randy Spears

Temptress decides to try a little thought about being a cab driver next. She looks great in a short white shirt, black pants and suspenders, and a gray hat with a traditional yellow cab. She drives Randy Spears and current Wicked girl Sydnee Steele around, and in a true Taxicab Confessions moment, watches them as they have sex. Randy starts off sucking on the nipple that Sydnee presents him with, and then lets her wrap her lips around his cock both in and out of the cap. They make their way onto the hood, and start out with some reverse cowgirl before Randy fucks Sydnee from behind. This is a great scene, mostly due to the great chemistry between all three people. This is common with some threesomes, but here Temptress didn’t every move from watching behind the wheel. The camera did a great job of capturing looks between Temptress and Sydnee and Randy, showing Temptress enjoying watching and the others enjoying having Temptress watching. Although the sex was very good also, the looks between the performers really made the scene for me.

Scene 4 - Temptress, Chris Cannon, and Dillion Day

Temptress considers joining the Army next, and puts on a nice show for Dillion Day and Chris Cannon. After taking more than most mortal men, Dillion and Chris come up and sandwich Temptress so Chris can play with her pussy while Dillion goes after her tits. Scene 5 - Temptress, Devinn Lane, and Keri Windsor

They start out with some kissing back and forth before Keri and Devinn drop down in front and behind Temptress to start working her over. They take a break from working on Temptress to undress each other a little and kiss each other before Kei positions herself between Devinn’s mouth and fingers and Temptress’ snatch. In return, the Wicked girls double up on Keri’s pussy before Devinn becomes the center of attention. Devinn and Keri’s toys come out next, which they work each other over with very nicely as Temptress helps here and there.

The scene ends pretty good for a lesbian scene, but as frequently happens with Brad Armstrong’s lesbian scenes, they feel just a little cut off. I really had the feeling that another five or ten seconds would have helped this scene out a lot by giving it a little more closure. It feels like the scene is winding down quickly, but it’s more of a rolling stop than a complete stop. Despite this, it’s an extremely hot scene. It’s nice to see Temptress play a little more of a supporting role in this scene, and Keri and Devinn do a great job of moving it along. I’ve been impressed with all three of these ladies previously, and can’t say that I’m at all disappointed with this scene.

Scene 6 - Temptress, T. J. Hart, and Mickey G.

Finally, Temptress decides to try a career in porn, since all of her job ideas end up in sex. Temptress and T. J. Hart start out as mechanics in the scene with Mickey G. pulling up in the Wicked Pace Car. The girls do a nice tease in front of the car, with Mickey disappearing during the tease and reappearing when it’s time for sex. Mickey and T. J. kiss quite a bit while Temptress’ hands and mouth wanders over his body. Temptress starts out sucking Mickey’s cock, but is soon joined by T. J. before they get down to the main business. as Temptress watches T. J. slide her well oiled body on Mickey’s cock while she plays with herself, and then comes over to ride Mickey’s face. They move to the trunk for Mickey to fuck Temptress as T. J. provides a little support before Mickey stretches out T. J.’s sphincter. They finish it off with Mickey decorating T. This is another pretty good scene that has some nice chemistry. There was some nice chemistry here, but the action seemed to be more of trading off rather than teaming up, which always leaves me a little disappointed. When the girls trade off with the guy rather than teaming up on him and each other it always seems like they’re not really into the entire group aspect of the scene, which brings it down a little for me.

Working Girl nicely showcases Temptress in each scene, and uses a nice premise that easily allows a wide range of scenes. Although it’s better than the average porno, I have to admit to being a little disappointed. Temptress does a very good job in her scenes, but they tend to fall together since about all she does in the entire movie is vaginal boy girl sex. Perhaps this is why the taxi scene with Sydnee Steele and Randy Spears and the ice cream shop scene with Devinn Lane and Keri Windsor stand out so nicely. They offered something a little different, and ended up scoring big by doing so. This is nothing against Temptress. I think she did a very fine job here, but a little variety would have helped things out a lot more, especially since she has done anal on camera in the past. Working Girl is a great feature for anybody who’s a Temptress fan, but I don’t know if it’s going to have as much replay for those who aren’t huge fans of her.

The Extra Stuff

Audio bios are included for Temptress, Devinn Lane, Sydnee Steele, T. J. Hart, Keri Windsor, Mark Davis, Randy Spears, and Brad Armstrong. As usual with Wicked’s audio bios, they’re created to fit the overall feel of the DVD and include some nice personal information, a few photos of the star, and a link to the star’s scene. Trailers are included for Crossroads, In Style, Spellbound, Heart & Soul, and Sex Safari. There’s also the other standard Wicked extras of the Wicked Casino, Wicked Web, company profile, AVN nominations and awards, and a commercial for the Free Speech Coalition.

Two photo galleries are included, one for the feature and one from behind the scenes. The main photo gallery lasts a little over three minutes and the behind the scenes gallery lasts about a minute and three quarters, with each photo taking about five seconds in each gallery. The photos nicely mix near-full screen photos and snapshots and look very good.

Brad Armstrong teams with Temptress for an audio commentary. They talk about some of the standard things such as the locations and problems they had shooting the scenes, and quite a bit about the sex. Temptress seems a little confused during the commentary. She rarely talks about anything other than what she likes sexually, and then does so in a way that it sounds more like she’s auditioning for a job in phone sex. There’s also a lot of dead air during the commentary, which helped make this one of the worst Wicked commentary with two people in it that I’ve heard. There’s very little banter between Brad and Temptress, and although Brad sounds like he tries to bring Temptress into conversations several times, she seems like she’s too preoccupied watching the movie to bother with talking on the commentary. Compared to the commentaries from some other companies this might seem pretty good, but after hearing the commentaries with people like Serenity and Jonathan Morgan, or Devinn Lane and Brad Armstrong, this one lacks quite a bit.

All Access: The Making of Working Girl lasts about twenty eight minutes and features some nice cameras and guidance by Ezra. As usual with Wicked’s features, each performer is nicely identified as they first take the screen, and they each talk nicely to the camera. There’s some nice footage on the scenes being shot as well as what’s going on behind the scenes. The behind the scenes antics are a big part of why Ezra’s behind the scenes featurettes are some of the best ones out there. All combined, it’s a heck of a good behind the scenes featurette, and much more deserving of your time than the commentary.

A four minute interview with Temptress is also hidden in the Working Girl DVD. She talks some about the feature as well as some of her other projects. She also talks a little about going out and getting recognized. It’s a nice little interview, and Temptress comes across very well as a real person rather than the flaky porn star stereotype.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, Working Girl can be found online for between about $22 and $30 with a few stores offering it near the low end. If you’re a huge Temptress fan, the bottom end is going to be a steal, but others might not be quite as impressed. The overall DVD is very well done, with a nice transfer and good extras, but the sex fell into a few ruts for me.

Note to Wicked: You did a nice job on this DVD, and it’s nice to see you focusing so nicely on your contract girls with features such as this.
