Extras: Bios, photo gallery, and commentary by Missy and Mickey G. The audio bios are some of the best I've seen and cover the entire cast.

Audio Quality: During the sex scenes, the audio is great. During the lead ins, however, Missy's voice is so soft and quiet that I could barely understand anything she said.

Video Quality: With the exception of the first scene, the picture is very clear with little sign of any pixelation. The first scene has several sequences that look like they were recorded on a poor digital camcorder. The pixelation is awful! The quality reminded me of still pictures taken with a bad digital camera.

Music: Very good. It matched the many moods of the various scenes.

Initial Expectations: Item #1 - Wicked has some of the highest quality DVDs out there. Item #2 - Missy was involved with every aspect of the movie from initial conception to final editing, literally putting her heart and soul into it. Combining those two things, I thought that this movie was going to be a sure winner!

Initial Reaction: Extremely well done sex, but where was the story?

Review: Heart & Soul is meant to be a journey into Missy's most intimate fantasies and desires. It turns out to be quite a journey as we see five scenes about her fear, fantasy, hunger, love, and life. Missy gives a short lead in to each section, however her voice is too soft and quiet to be clearly heard.

'Fear' comes out of one of Missy's nightmares and shows her taking on four guys. Everybody is painted with stripes and other animalistic colorations. This is by far the worst quality scene. There's horrible pixelation similar to an extremely low quality picture from a bad digital camera. The only thing I can think of that might excuse this is if they wanted to give it a somewhat surreal dream look. If so, it failed because all I could think of was "Man, is that a lousy picture!". Despite the picture quality, the camera work was pretty good. The scene takes place in a cave, giving it a very primal, animalistic feel. I know. Missy and primal and animalistic. Kind of boggles the mind. Anyway, since it's in a cave, it's all very dark, yet it's still light enough to see everyone clearly without looking unnatural. This scene would have come off much better without the pixelation problems.

The rest of the scenes are much higher quality. In 'Fantasy', Missy watches 2 couples (Jacklyn Lick & Peter North and Ruby & another guy) have sex after breaking away from a masquerade ball. There's a lot of heat here and an excellent shot of Missy fucking herself with a dildo as we see the others fucking on the table behind her in between Missy's legs.

'Hunger' also comes from Missy's nightmares. In it, she is attacked by four female vampires played by Nici Sterling, Stephanie Swift, Johnny Black, and Alexandra Silk. With a cast like that, you know it's going to be a hot scene, and it doesn't disappoint.

'Love' shows Missy being carried through a room by an angel (Mickey G.). After she awakens, they share a bath. This is an extremely tender scene, and the complete opposite of the lust in 'Fear' and 'Hunger'. Everything about the scene is full of the love between Mickey and Missy. Missy seems quite subdued here, yet you never feel like she isn't giving her all through the scene. It's really a very beautiful love scene that's one of the best couples scenes I've ever watched.

Finally, there's 'Life' where Missy sits on a swing and gets both Jill Kelly and Brad Armstrong. This is also a tender scene, although it doesn't have the same feeling as 'Love'. Everybody gives a very good performance and the camera work was once again excellent. I don't know what it was with this scene, but I felt like something was missing. There's also another voice - over with Missy and the clouds, but once again, I couldn't clearly hear her voice to say if it was good or bad.

The commentary of 'Heart & Soul' adds a great deal of depth to the movie. Most of the commentary is done by Mickey G, and there's a lot of dead spots during the commentary, but you can clearly tell how much Missy and Mickey put into the movie and how much it means to them. You can also feel the love and respect they have for each other throughout the commentary. You get a very good feeling for Missy and Mickey's personal tastes as many of the props throughout the movie are from Missy and Mickey's house. I have rarely found a commentary that shows as much soul as this one does. Once again, my main problem with the commentary is Missy's voice. She has a lovely, soft voice, but it's not easily picked up by the microphone. If you watch 'Heart & Soul', make certain you listen to the commentary. Overall: If you're a fan of Missy and haven't picked this one up yet, pick it up. 'Heart & Soul' does a great job of showing Missy's range as an adult performer and both her and Mickey should be proud of the job they did on it. It's also great for raincoaters, as there isn't any real plot to the movie, yet the sex is excellent. If you're not a fan of Missy or if you're looking for something with a little more substance, you might want to keep looking, or at least watch it with the commentary. Don't get me wrong, 'Heart & Soul' is a good movie, I just can't justify the normal Wicked pricing for it.
