Initial Expectations: I remember watching some of Haunted Nights many years ago and remember it being a lot of fun. Hopefully it’s as good as I remember.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is a little off balance and hard to hear at times, but isn’t any worse than the average porno. The video has a little grain and a few shadow problems, but looks great for the age of the feature and the relative newness of Wicked’s DVD productions when this was released.

Music: I have to admit that this is the only adult film I know of where a good portion of the music is bagpiping. Being a Scot myself I happen to love the pipes and enjoy it a lot more than many people probably will. It fits the feature very well but is a little on the loud side. There’s also some pretty standard porn music that’s also a little on the loud side.

Menus: The menus are fun and fit in with the overall feature pretty well. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip and a title for the scene.

The Feature: Private dicks Sam and Roscoe (Jonathan Morgan and Steven St. Croix) are hired to see if there’s been foul play, or maybe even murder, surrounding a will’s inheritors. They head to bonnie Scotland to investigate and find themselves drawn into mysterious doings at the castle. They try to leave, but in a horrible coincidence the bridge down the road is washed out so they’re stranded there. Things get a little more complicated when mad scientist Ron Jeremy gets his hands on Steven St. Croix.

Steven St. Croix starts things out with Mystica, a leggy brunette with quite a few tattoos who forces herself on him. Steven kisses Mystica’s nicely natural tits and legs all over before sitting back and letting her suck his cock. I can’t help but recommend Haunted Nights since it’s one of the funniest adult films I’ve seen. It’s a great homage to the comedies of the forties, bringing in nice touches of Abbott and Costello, the Stooges, and Laurel and Hardy. I’m not sure if I ever went a full minute without laughing in the non-sex portions, and there’s even some humor in the sex scenes. Jonathan Morgan and Steven St. Croix play excellently off of each other, and Ron Jeremy is just as funny. I really wish this would have been made more recently because I’d love to see what the out-takes were like here. The sex isn’t quite as good, but Brit Morgan and especially Celeste do great jobs and are very memorable. The plot even comes back after the last scene to tie up the loose ends. If you’re looking for a fun porno, you have to check out Haunted Nights.

Extras: Bios are included for Sahara Sands and Celeste. Each bio includes a little personal information, a still of the star, and a link to the star’s scene. The photo gallery lasts just over a minute and a half, with a variety of qualities to the framed pictures. Many of them look very nice, but quite a few are very dark. Overall: Currently, Haunted Nights can be found online for between about $21 and $29 with a few stores offering it near the low end. Although the sex isn’t consistently hot, the movie is consistently hilarious. It’s a little weak on extras, but the transfer is pretty good.

Note to Wicked: I hope you bring out some of the other features in the Nights line. If they’re even half as good as this they’re well worth watching. I hope if you bring them out you include commentaries with some of the cast and possible even the directors.
