Quality Time is a quality couples flick featuring a decent cast, very little dialogue, and pretty good sex. Roy Karch directed this Adam & Eve, 80-minute feature. The script was probably a two-pager, which is always a welcome restraint on the part of the moviemakers. They let the performers do what they do best suck and fuck each other. There is also an absence of the customary lesbian scene. What is not missing is the agonizing action I call the old in-out. This overly used trend in porn drives me crazy. It occurs when the male pulls his cock out of the girls orifice (ass, pussy, or mouth) over and over again, as if admiring his Viagra-induced hardon or perhaps as a means of torturing the girl. This is the second release I've seen from Nectar studios. The first was a well done dvd full of gorgeous women with lots of vibrant colors used. At first glance this release holds more of the same and this type of "pretty porn" is a nice change from the gonzo porn I normally prefer to watch. Not to say the sex here isn't fun to watch, it is but it's a change from the balls to the wall action I usually watch. RATING SUMMARY: in regard to the performers and their appearances, no one's looks or actions should detract from a scene. i don't expect a/v quality to be flawless, however everything should be clearly visible and audible. the dvd should have some extra content worth watching more than once. there is no plot or acting whatsoever in this movie. (i usually don't view those.) the "what its worth" amount is the price i paid for this dvd. This seems like a good combination for a dvd. Get several hot girls and take them up to Big Bear! As the credits roll you get some really beautiful shots of the area and this will continue before and after the scenes so enjoy the breathtaking beauty that area provides. The sky was such a clear blue and the sunlight was reflecting beautifully off the water! Enough travel brochure talk les see some hotties!! Taylor Rain: As her scene starts you see Taylor getting a ride in a ski lift and you get a fun Q & A with Miss Rain who looked quite bundled up in her winter gear. Tease: After a bit of snowboarding we see the outside of an awesome looking cabin which we soon see Taylor inside and she is showing off that gorgeous body of hers. Expectations Here we find a brand new series from DVSX, so I have nothing to really go on. The studio has put out some strong releases in the past, so that is promising. Apparently the premise of the series is to visit different locales and film the talent. Capsule Review This is a reasonably good release. It is a bit rougher (technically) than many of the DVSX releases that I am accustomed with. The wardrobe is plainer and the sets are spartan. This is anti-glamour porn, a genre that I generally find boring, but it is quite palatable in this release. One serious flaw is the lack of anal in several of the scenes, but that is really the only complaint I have with this release. Such is the premise for Serenity's Roman Orgy, even if the Roman part of the orgy is rather quickly dismissed. This film is divided into two different orgies, each of about forty minutes with the same cast. The entire cast is dressed in Roman costumes, which look quite realistic, as does the Roman style set. However, this is only a pretense. There is not a drop of plot. A voice over makes mention of the Roman tradition of orgies, but there is not a word of dialogue in this film; it is 100 poure sex, and while personally, I would liked a film called A Roman Orgy to have a greater feel that this was truly in Ancient Rome, not just some actors pretending, the orgies themselves are very good. Kyle Ireland plays an old, evil warrior princess who needs to capture a ring to complete a set of 8 and gain the power to recapture her youth. I'm rooting for the bad girl here, because Kylie's old age makeup is grotesque. I never read the LOTR books nor saw the movie so I don't how close this follows the original story. I don't care much for fantasy, even in porn, but I'll watch any movie in which Kylie spreads her luscious legs. It's always seemed like a real nice place to be. I would have thought that this material was ripe for some parody, but this production plays it reverentially, as if they were doing Shakespeare. Production values are high, photography crisp and clear when the smoke machines are turned off. The New Agey music sets an effective tone. There's also lots of anal, Violet Blue does a DP and then holds her pussylips wide open while both guys shoot right into the gape. Aurora fucks a statue, played well by Jay Ashley. The two previous titles of his that I saw were OK, and I'm curious to see what he does here. The first time I watched it, my wife had the volume turned way down so it wouldn't bother the kids. The silent movie effect made a lot of the performances look fake. When I cranked up the volume to hear what was going on, things heated up and got real. Expectations While this is not a Michael Ninn picture per se, it is billed as being directed by Ninn protege Laurent Sky. I expect it to be very Ninn-ish. The cool thing about this release is that it is a 2 disc set with disc 1 labeled as "Artcore" and disc 2 labeled as "Hardcore". I'm looking forward to seeing the difference as I think the "Hardcore" may be more to my liking. Capsule Review This is a good release. It is extremely Ninn-ish and I'm pretty much at a loss to see the Laurent Sky original elements here. This is one of the dark style Ninn features (think Latex or Shock). Lots of industrial equipment and grunge abounds everywhere. But there is no psycho plot to accompany the whole thing, rather it is pretty much incidental video. The girls look great and the care inherent in this release is obvious. As for the Artcore/Hardcore thing, it is not nearly as radical a difference as I had hoped. The Artcore disc is typical Ninn.
