Devils Playground (the 2004 Sin City version) is a decent couples flick with some outstanding ladies and some pretty hot sex. Director Dcypher (his/her spelling) has some very good talent to work with here. Too bad he/she chose to incorporate every hackneyed porn stereotype in making this film: poor camera work, high heels on practically every girl, and a script straight from the junior high drama department. The plot (I believe) has to do with Hannah Harper (playing the Devil) bargaining with Evan Stone to get another soul into Hell. I say I believe because the audio is marginal and Hannahs accent makes it tough to decipher (my spelling). Cute brunette Shy Love tangles with Steve Hatcher in the opening scene. Hatcher experiences some serious wood problems during what looks to be a great blowjob by Shy. Mika Tan is in this release, and being one of my absolute favorites, I was looking forward to her scene more than anything else. But, with Alex sanders as her partner (not a personal favorite), and the fact that she doesnt seem to let loose here, even though she is taking it as deep as possible up that wonderful ass of hers, just made her scene a disappointment. Maybe it was her partner, or being outdoors, which is not the easiest fucking that can be done. The rest of the disc has a very couples-friendly feel to it, so you know what that means. Never at any point was there any kind of heat between the performers, with the exception of the final lesbian scene, which was actually fairly hot thanks to Stephanie Swift. The rest of the time the sex was laughable, and WAY to short. The first sex scene, between Chris Cannon (who is usually a good performer) and Briana Banks is a total dud. Briana could hardly even fake it, and actually breaks out laughing at one point. Laughing like that isn't a good thing. The rest of the sex scenes are extremely vanilla. There is actually almost no female oral sex in this film, just very over drawn blow jobs, and the scenes seem to be rather badly shot. The only exception to that was the scene with Sunrise Adams. The sex is pretty hot, but in some areas it falls to the curse of the feature, and just doesn't carry a lot of chemistry, but the girls are gorgeous all the way through, and there are a couple of solid performances, and the extras aren't too bad to accompany the feature. Brad Armstrong's Wicked Sex Party 5: Masquerade Ball The Wicked Sex Party series is Wicked Pictures offering in the orgy genre. As befitting the company, production value is high here especially when compared to most other orgy titles. This the fifth installment in the series is hosted by jessica drake (no capitalizing her name folks!). The perpetuating theme here is that of a masquerade ball. Basically this means that all of the performers are in costume during the majority of the sex. Costumes are on the light side however (masks, necklaces, lingerie, etc.) thereby affording the viewer a complete view of everything they want to see. Viewers won't have trouble identifying who's who. Although this is an orgy title the camera is usually focused on only one sub-grouping at a time.
