Synopsis:
This is an all sex film that contains five sex scenes with surreal sets and some odd imagery.

Audio/Video:
Both of the cuts (the artcore cut and the hardcore cut) for Fetish: The Dream Scape are presented with an English 2.0 Stereo track and both of the tracks appear to be presented as they are intended. How well the audio tracks work is discussed later in the review, so I won't go over them again here. Ninn Worx hasn't included any foreign language tracks or subtitle options for the film on the disc, however neither is needed for the film and you don't need to have any understanding of the English language to enjoy the film.

Both of the cuts for the film are presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which appears to be as they are intended to be seen. For the most part, the video for both cuts is excellent and crystal clear with no problems. However in some places on both cuts the bit rate appears to be set too low and there are pixels present on the screen. They are very noticeable, mostly due to how nice the rest of the video looks. The color levels are correctly set and other than the pixels there are no problems with the video.

Special Features:
This set contains a few extras on the second disc only. There is a photo gallery divided into three sections with a large selection of stills. There is the ability to listen to the music with a slide show. And there is a behind the scenes area with three selections, montage, interviews and montage 2.

Navigation:
There are two different cuts of the film, the artcore cut contained on disc one and the hardcore cut contained on disc two. Both of the film have five chapters available from the main menu. They are both identified by video clips from the scenes that the chapters go to. Given the size of the film, more chapters would have been nice. There is a time code encoded on both discs for the feature films.

General Review:
The box for the film advertises that you get two different versions of the film inside, which sounds like a great deal, until you watch them. The version called the artcore version appears to be the actual film itself. The other version, titled the hardcore version appears to be the rough cut of the sex scenes before they were cut down and much of the arty imagery was added. Viewers purchasing this set thinking that they are getting two full, but different versions of the film, will probably be sorely disappointed when they find out what the hardcore version really is. The hardcore version has no beginning or end credits and the sound track leaves much to be desired. All the sex sounds are left in intact, which makes it appear better than the artcore version at first, but the director's cues are left in as well. There are also some periods where the sound cuts out for a bit completely. The footage here would have been much better advertised as extra sex or could have been incorporated into a much larger behind the scenes version to give the viewer a good idea of what goes on behind the scenes. But as it is on the disc, it is far from being a complete version of the film.

As for the artcore version, this is a complete film, which starts out with some funky credits before the film starts. The rest of this review will cover the artcore version of the film. I enjoy a good art film from time to time, but I found that this film was too far into the art for my enjoyment. The sets, which were alright and alone wouldn't have hampered my enjoyment are surreal industrial style sets. The film is edited with an MTV music video style process with quick jump cuts that often show odd visual images at you throughout the scene.

The biggest reason for my lack of enjoyment of the film was the lack of sexual heat I got from the film. The performers appear to be into the scenes, but the imagery pulled me away from the heat being created. In one scene you have a male, dressed similar to a Nazi who is overlooking the scene which frankly did little for me. In another scene, it keeps cutting to shots of alien like creatures for portions of the scene. In other scenes, the attire worn was a bit too odd for me. I do have to say that I enjoyed the lesbian scene with Ava Vincent and Bunny Lux though. And Aurora Snow looks ravishing in her attire at the beginning of her scene.

The audio for the film didn't help either. In some places all the sexual sounds have been removed and in other areas they are heavily covered by the music. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal and anal sex with blow jobs, pussy eating (male to female and female to female), hand jobs, toys, female masturbation, lesbianism, gaping, DP, pussy fingering, fetish ware and latex. For viewers that care about condom use, there are condoms used in only one of the scenes.

A great deal of work went into creating this film and for those who are into the film, they will be vastly rewarded. I just wasn't one of those people. The sets are very elaborate and the visuals are very carefully done, I just found them to hamper the eroticism of the scenes too much.

The Scenes:
The sex scenes are relatively similar in both films, but their running time and order vary between the films, so I'll do a breakdown for both cuts of the film here. Bear in mind, some of the material will seem repetitive.

Starting with the artcore version, the first scene, which lasts for roughly 21 minutes, brings us Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo. The scene starts out with Nicole masturbating before she gives a blow job. The scene then goes into some pussy eating before going into the vaginal sex. The scene concludes with some anal sex. The second scene, which lasts for roughly 21 minutes, brings us Mia Smiles and Chris Cannon. The scene starts out with some female masturbation before going into the blow job. The scene concludes with some vaginal sex.

The third scene, which lasts for roughly 21 minutes, features Michelle Michaels and Erik Everhard. The scene starts out with some female masturbation before going into the pussy eating. Michelle then gives Erik a blow job before the vaginal sex ends the scene. The fourth scene, which lasts for roughly 18 minutes, features Bunny Lux and Ava Vincent and starts out with some female masturbation before going into the pussy eating. After the pussy eating there is some pussy fingering before the toy action which ends the scene.

The fifth and final scene in the film, which lasts for roughly 18 minutes, features Aurora Snow, Jay Ashley, and Pat Myne and starts out with some female masturbation before going into a pussy eating and blow job combo. Then there is a pussy fingering and blow job combo before a multiple blow job. The scene then goes into some anal sex followed by an anal sex and blow job combo. After the combo is over there is some more anal sex before a DP to end the scene and the film.

Now we get into the hardcore version, the first scene, which lasts for roughly 40 minutes features Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo. The scene starts out with some female masturbation before going into the blow job. The blow job is followed by a hand job before the pussy eating. The scene then goes into the vaginal sex and concludes with some anal sex. The second scene, which lasts for roughly 20 minutes, features Aurora Snow, Jay Ashley, and Pat Myne. The scene starts out with some female masturbation before going into a pussy eating and blow job combo, which is followed by a multiple blow job before going into the anal sex. Then there is an anal sex and blow job combo before the scene goes back to the anal sex. The scene concludes with a DP.

The third scene, which lasts for roughly 23 minutes, features Michelle Michaels and Erik Everhard. The scene starts out with some female masturbation before going into some pussy eating. After the pussy eating is the blow job. The scene concludes with some vaginal sex. The fourth scene, which lasts for roughly 12 minutes, features Ava Vincent and Bunny Lux. Parting Thoughts:
Maybe the art aspect of the film was too far out for me or maybe the imagery detracted too much from the scenes, but I just wasn't able to get into this film as I was hoping to. This isn't to say that no one will like this film, it just wasn't for me. Viewers that like a film with nastier sex, no plot and some surreal imagery to go with their porn should give this film a shot. Those that aren't into the aspects above should probably just pass on this one. I'd recommend a rental before purchasing.
