Expectations

While this is not a Michael Ninn picture per se, it is billed as being directed by Ninn protege Laurent Sky. I expect it to be very Ninn-ish. The cool thing about this release is that it is a 2 disc set with disc 1 labeled as "Artcore" and disc 2 labeled as "Hardcore". I'm looking forward to seeing the difference as I think the "Hardcore" may be more to my liking.

Capsule Review

This is a good release. It is extremely Ninn-ish and I'm pretty much at a loss to see the Laurent Sky original elements here. This is one of the dark style Ninn features (think Latex or Shock). Lots of industrial equipment and grunge abounds everywhere. But there is no psycho plot to accompany the whole thing, rather it is pretty much incidental video. The girls look great and the care inherent in this release is obvious. As for the Artcore/Hardcore thing, it is not nearly as radical a difference as I had hoped. The Artcore disc is typical Ninn. The Hardcore disc is mostly the same without the overwhleming pulse of the music and with a little less video editing. I actually preferred the Artcore disc. I will only review each scene once below, the differences are not radical enough to warrant two reviews.

Technical

The audio is very good and very clear, although the music is very dominant as well. The video is basically good, although the quick cuts and stark contrasts cause some pixelization for the DVD mastering.

Scene Review

Scene 1 - Nicole Sheridan

Scene 3 - Michelle Michaels

This is the hottest scene of the DVD. Michelle is a very hot blonde and she wears a super sexy red pvc outfit consisting of a jacket, g-string and stockings with red boots. Yum. She writhes and teases for us as well as masturbating. This scene is set in some kind of futuristic doctor's office, but it is well lit and Ava looks great! She picks up a speculum and begins to masturbate with it. This is not generally a big turn on for me, but it is very sexy in this scene. She obsesses over some alien creature and then longs for the human trapped in a test tube (remember, this is a Ninn-like world). He eats her out and fingers her. She gives him a good blowjob. They fuck vag in a variety of positions before he comes in his condom and pours it on her face. The tease in this scene makes the whole scene worthwhile. Whack Factor: 8

Scene 4 - Bunny Lux & Ava Vincent

Scene 5 - Aurora Snow

In Conclusion

While this disc displays some of the Ninn elements that I don't like such as his post-industrial dreariness and his slick multi camera jumps and edits (picture Silence Of The Lambs meets MTV), the girls are gorgeous and the production is well done. Also, unlike a Blake flic, the scenes are hardcore. I believe the 2nd disc here is stricly a gimmick, but you judge for yourself. If you like Ninn, this is a buy. Otherwise, rent it first.
