Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are great! The audio is crystal clear, and the few background noises that appear sound like they belong there. The video is just as good. The lighting as amazing, and uses shadows as well as light for presenting things. It has a slightly soft feel, but it isn’t so soft as to make things feel cheap.

Music: The music ranges from classical to rock, and rests very nicely in the background.

False Advertising: The cover claims that there are interview on this DVD, but I couldn’t find them anywhere. The comments by Veronica Hart could be considered akin to an interview, but because those sections are listed as separate things from the interview on the cover, I’m treating them as such and deducting a half point from the overall score because of their being omitted.

Menus: The menus are very different from the typical VCA menu. The main menu has very limited animation, but is unique enough to give a good first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene only on a description of the scene.

The Feature: Just like with her Aunt in Barbara Broadcast, Barbara Broadcast II (played by Chloe) has a reporter, in this case Samantha Owens (Dru Berrymore), follow her around for an article. Barbara Broadcast II has followed in her Aunt’s footsteps and has become a world famous author and authority on sex. She lets Samantha interview her as well as taking her places to introduce her to a much more sexually open lifestyle than what Samantha has known in the past, and opens Samantha to things inside her that she hadn’t realized or accepted before.

Kelly and Hamilton Steele come to visit Chloe at a book signing, and ask her about their anal sex problem. Chloe asks them to become her demonstration couple, and after they agree, Chloe has Hamilton go down on both of Kelly’s holes. Hamilton works her up to four fingers before Chloe has him fuck Kelly up the ass. Kelly goes straight to the A, and shortly after takes a nice pop from Hamilton on her great ass. It’s a nicely done scene, with both Kelly and Hamilton doing a great job playing the extremes of the scene as well as everything in between.

Chloe takes on her Aunt’s butler Marc Anthony back in flashback-land. They play with each other very slowly to warm each other up, and do it to the point that you’re not sure when they’re going to fuck and you really don’t care. Chloe finally lets Marc mount her missionary style before he spoons her ass. Finally, Chloe lets Marc decorate her ass. It’s an amazing scene that shows that anal sex and couples movies can go very well together. It doesn’t feel nasty, and only feels natural (especially when it’s being done by somebody like Chloe). This is one heck of a great scene, and the low lighting is perfect for it.

Senator Randy Spears gets the double pleasure of Chloe and his wife (at least in the movie) Ashlyn Gere in the back of a limo. They team up to suck him before Chloe hops on to ride him reverse cowgirl style. Ashlyn takes her turn before letting Chloe have one more go with Randy. Finally, Randy pops on Chloe’s stockinged feet and Ashlyn’s shoes. It’s an extremely hot scene that every fan of Ashlyn should love. Ashlyn and Chloe’s intensity play off each other amazingly well, and show that just because Ashlyn has a couple extra years on her compared to many of the other starlets out there, that doesn’t mean she should quit just yet!

Dru Berrymore learns that Claudio’s clothier offers more than a few services. In one dressing room, Rebecca Bardoux gets a little foot action from Justine Romee. In another, Sharon Kane has her pussy eaten by William Monaro. Yet another has Venus getting some extra personal attention from Dino Bravo. Later, Dru gets some personal attention from Claudio (Rafe) himself. Rafe helps Dru out of her clothes, and then passionately kisses her as she unsurely tries to back away. She gives in and lets him kiss his way across her body before letting him slide his cock in her coochie. Dru takes a little control by riding Rafe reverse cowgirl style, and finishes things up taking his dick droppings on her tongue. It’s an amazing and energetic scene, and is even capped off by Rafe kissing Dru on the lips after popping on them. Dru has really amazed me over the past year or so, and I think she’s used far too little. This scene shows just why, as she can be energetic as heck while still maintaining great chemistry with her partner. There’s nothing nasty here beyond a little rimming, but this is one intense scene!

Finally, Brooke Adams has her pussy licked by Chris Cannon at a party. Soon after, Ruby joins in to help Brooke suck his cock. Ruby gives Brooke a little oral attention before letting Brooke ride Chris reverse cowgirl style, but does let Chris bone her from behind and pop on her ass. It’s a nicely done scene, especially with the party atmosphere. It’s combined with Chloe and Dru Berrymore getting a little action. Dru even takes it in the ass before the girls finish things up laying down for a pair of facials. It’s a great final scene, and works as a nice homage to the original. It’s great to see Dru take it in the can, and she does a great job of opening up through the movie up until this moment. It’s a very natural feeling scene, and has great chemistry as well as nice energy.

Barbara Broadcast Too is a nicely done sequel. It falls into a bit of the same pitfall as many other sequels by rehashing quite a bit of the original, but here it ends up working in the movie’s favor. The original Barbara Broadcast was a very loose movie, with most of it revolving around a scene in a restaurant. Veronica Hart has built on that very nicely here, and lets Chloe, as Barbara Broadcast II, grow as a person. There were moments in the original when I wondered how certain things happened, and that doesn’t happen here. Things are tightened up, while still maintaining many of the aspects of the original, such as short throwaway scenes and quite a bit of public sex. There are also numerous homages to the original Barbara Broadcast, and most of them work very well. Some of them even work well enough that I actually hoped they’d be followed up by a few more throwbacks to the original, such as in the restaurant scene where I really hoped a waitress would drop a tray. I couldn’t help but be reminded of what an old friend of mine told me about comedies many years ago. He told me that a really successful comedy was one where you could see the punchline coming a mile away, and it was still funny. Here, you can often see the homages coming a mile away, and you still look for more without any of them feeling like rip-offs or cop-outs. My only complaint about >Barbara Broadcast Too, and this is a complaint that I think will only be there for people who have seen the original, is that it feels like an update. It has many of the touches of a classic porno, but it still feels like a modern porno in so many ways. If you haven’t seen the original, I can’t see anybody complaining about this movie.

The casting here was also excellent. I’ll admit that for some reason part of me was a little hesitant at the idea of Chloe in the lead role here, but she does a fantastic job. Although I wasn’t sure who would be best at this role, I really wouldn’t want to think of anybody but Chloe in it after watching her here. The part seems to come naturally, and after meeting her a few months ago, I don’t know how many times seeing her in this role reminded me of the time I had to talk with her. Dru Berrymore is just as good in her role as Samantha Owens, and in many ways has to do more than Chloe as far as acting. Dru goes from being a withdrawn and sexually shy woman to a woman confident and open about her sexuality, and does it all very believably. Maybe part of it is that I find Dru incredibly cute, as well as incredibly sexy, but she plays the entire range perfectly. The rest of the cast also does a great job, with Rafe really standing out in his role as Claudio, the straight guy who acts gay because he thinks it gives him an edge with the ladies.

Barbara Broadcast Too is a great update of a classic film. The casting, story, sex, and execution are all great in the movie. There were a few moments, and no more than a few, where I felt slightly disappointed about one thing or another, but every time I had that feeling I realized it was because I was comparing it strongly with the original Barbara Broadcast. Whenever I looked at it as its own movie, the problems disappeared. Barbara Broadcast Too is a well done adult movie that almost every couple out there should enjoy.

Extras: VCA has really gone all out on this DVD. There’s their standard features, such as the wall to wall option that lets you watch the movie without all the fast forward fodder getting in the way, a commentary, true multiple angles (although there are very few areas with them), and internet and contact information, as well as different things such as a tribute to the original Barbara Broadcast and a director’s notebook. Bios are included for Chloe, Dru Berrymore, and Ashlyn Gere, each of which includes a little personal information, a few pics of the star, and a link to the star’s scene. The photo gallery lasts about two and a quarter minutes with about seven seconds per very nice looking full screen photo. Trailers are included for Crime & Passion, Dangerous Games, and the excellent and very highly recommended Sunset Stripped.

The tribute to the original Barbara Broadcast includes the two and a quarter minute photo gallery, a look at the original box art, and a retrospective. The retrospective that lasts about five minutes. It shows a few clips of the original movie and includes Jim Holliday and Veronica Hart talking about it, Randy Metzger, and the movies of the time. It’s a nice look back to the at the original, and does a good job of paying tribute to it.

The commentary teams Veronica Hart with Chloe. They talk about pretty much anything that comes to mind. Of course you have things like Veronica talking about how this movie compares with the original, the sets, and the cast, and it goes as far away from that as things such as a discussion on medical testing on rats. As usual, Veronica and her partner, in this case Chloe, play great off each other, and there’s rarely a dull or quiet moment in the commentary. You can tell they enjoy each other’s company, as well as the movie, and it makes this a great commentary.

The Director’s Notebook lasts almost five minutes. Veronica Hart talks about the storyline in the movie and how it relates to the original. She also talks about some of what she thought made the original movie and how she tried to recreate it. She also compares it a little to some of her other movies. It’s a nice little look at the movie with Veronica Hart.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty six minutes. It’s a very nicely done behind the scenes featurette. It covers almost every scene in the movie, and mixes them up which keeps things nicely interesting. You get to see the stars screwing around between takes, Veronica Hart working with the cast (who still looks damn hot and should be on every red blooded American boy’s MILF list), and a few interviews with the cast. One of the most fun things about it is the tantalizing and titillatious Tina Tyler, who is full of jokes and puns. It’s a really nice behind the scenes, and the only complaint I can have about it is that the performers aren’t named as they take the screen. Granted, this is done in the opening credits, but it is nice to see in the behind the scenes as well. Regardless, this is a very nice behind the scenes featurette and is one of the best I’ve seen from VCA so far.

Overall: Currently, most VCA DVDs can be found online for between $17 and $28 with many stores offering them for around $20. VCA has really made this DVD worth your money. The movie is very well done, and nicely builds on the original. The technical aspects are near perfect, and there’s a nice selection of extras. If you’re interested in this DVD, check it out!

Note to VCA: Please watch your cover claims better. When you do a release this big, people notice when you don’t give them everything you say you are.
