Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are just as good as one would normally expect from VCA. The audio is clear and well balanced, with its only fault being that it seems to be a little on the quiet side. The video is the same way. There’s just a hint of grain, and the lighting feels natural. There’s a few minor shadows, but never anything that feels out of place.

Music: The music is nicely balanced with the rest of the audio, and varies in style a bit to fit the mood of the scenes. Some of it is dark and menacing, while others are soft and fairly romantic porn music.

Menus: The menus are the standard, boring VCA menus. The main menu is unanimated with the exception of a clip of the feature running on one part of the screen. The chapter menu is nicely done, and lets you choose a scene based on the name of the leading lady in the scene and a small clip of the scene. I’m really amazed that nobody’s copied VCA’s chapter menu since it really is one of the nicest around. If only their main menus would catch up to it.

The Feature: When Holly Hollywood comes over to Julie Meadows’ house to help her through a rough time, she doesn’t expect the cause to be a mask Julie picked up on vacation. Apparently the mask Julie picked up is cursed, and now any man she sleeps with disappears after he’s done. Since Julie doesn’t do girls, this is a problem for her. After smiling and nodding a few times, she agrees to hear Julie’s story and finally comes up with a solution that just might be crazy enough to work.

Chloe and Kyle Stone start things off getting busy in front of Julie Meadows as Julie holds the mask. After a bit of kissing, Chloe devours Kyle orally and then hops on for her reverse cowgirl ride on Kyle’s baloney pony. She lays back for Kyle to fuck her ass, and finally takes Kyle’s cock cream on her chest and stomach. It’s a pretty average scene that had good chemistry, but for some reason just didn’t do much for me.

Julie next relates her story of what happened when she got back to the hotel room and showed Chris Cannon the mask. Julie decides to test the mask and its evil powers next. She heads to the bar and picks up Steve Hatcher and Pat Myne, who quickly decide to take Julie up on her offer to run off and boink madly. Eric Masterson comes over to help Julie lift the curse as they try one of Holly Hollywood’s ideas to lift the curse. Although reluctant at first, Eric soon agrees and gets Julie’s sweet mouth wrapped around his manhood. Eric returns the favor with a nice twat tonguing before fucking Julie missionary style and standing from behind. They finish things up with Eric letting his white rain fall on Julie’s glorious ass. It’s a hot scene with nice chemistry and energy. I’m starting to consider Eric Masterson as some of the best male talent around, and he does a great job to help confirm that thought here.

After relieving Julie of the mask, Daisy Chain brings it home and gets busy with Holly Hollywood in front of it. It’s a perfect scene to end things with, as it nicely ties up the story as well as leaving things on a high note sexually.

Cursed shows that Chloe still has talent behind the camera as well as in front of it. She puts together a nice little porno here, which she wrote, produced, directed, and starred in, and its surprisingly couples friendly. I know that shouldn’t be a surprise as a VCA release, but Chloe can have such amazing sexual energy, as well as her nasty streak, that I expected Cursed to be a little more intense than what it was here. Julie Meadows does a great job leading the movie, and does a great job both with and without her clothes. Holly Hollywood and Kylie Ireland do a great job supporting Julie, and might have the two hottest scenes in the feature. Cursed is a good fuck flick with a nice bit of fun in it.

Extras: Audio bios are included for Julie Meadows, Chloe, and Kylie Ireland. Each bio includes a little information, a few photos of the star, and a link to the star’s scene. Trailers are included for Succubus, Lost Hienie, and Sex World 2002, all of which feature the lovely Julie Meadows. The photo gallery lasts close to three and a half minutes, with about ten seconds per decent looking full screen photo. Finally, there’s the standard contact and internet information, since a DVD without internet and contact information is like pro football player without a rap sheet.

Overall: Currently, most VCA DVDs can be found online for between $17 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. This is a little high for what you get here, but fans of Julie Meadows won’t be disappointed. The sex is pretty couples friendly, although it does have a bit of group and lesbian sex, and the non-sex portions are nicely done. The technical aspects are up to VCA’s normally high standards, but there isn’t much for extras here.

Note to VCA: It’s great to see you supporting day and date releases so much, but I’d be more than happy to wait a week or two to get a couple decent extras.
