Initial Expectations: Roy Karch’s movies have hit everywhere from being pretty enjoyable to being about like somebody snapped a mousetrap on my testicles. I’m really not sure what to expect here.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who needs to relax before going into surgery and insomniacs

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who has to drive, operate heavy equipment, or get horny

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is fairly clear and well balanced, but there’s some noticeable dubbing and a couple places where the audio seems completely out of proportion to where the talent is. The video has some slight grain, and the lighting often has some shadows that make things look a little off at times.

Music: The music is varied and rests nicely in the background, but unfortunately rarely helps the scenes out. Some is more repetitious that your typical dance beat porn music, which is not a good thing, and others are so boring that they take heat away from the scenes.

Disc Problems / Complaints: Once again, Adam & Eve has neglected to include a time stamp on their feature. This always ticks me off, since I occasionally like to jump directly to a specific spot in the movie. Without a time stamp, I can’t do this. I could understand leaving it out if it was a major undertaking, but from what I understand, it takes about as much effort as covering your mouth when you cough, and pleases people just as much. There’s also phone sex trailers at the start, which I never like, but you can skip through them rather than having to scan through them.

Menus: The menus are dark and seem a little messy and noisy. There’s something about them that just seems thrown together. As usual, the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene and a scene number.

The Feature: Different Worlds recycles the same plot that Roy Karch has used in almost every other one of his features I’ve seen. There’s a couple, in this case Steve Hatcher and Alexandra Silk, who are having problems. She’s a lawyer and he’s a handyman, so things don’t always line up, as well as having a lack of trust, not enough sex, etc.

As usual, Roy Karch starts things off with a softcore scene. This time around it’s Alexandra Silk and Steve Hatcher make it look like they’re bumping uglies for a couple minutes. Also as usual, there’s no pop shot to end the scene. It’s not a great way to start a movie, and it’s only made worse by Mr. Karch using this same opening in every one of his features that I can think of.

Dia, an okay looking brunette with small natural tits and an okay face, starts out the first real scene with Mickey G. in his garage. She strips down, not looking happy about it at all, and lets Mickey’s hands explore her. After a bit of heavy petting, Dia moves back onto a car so Mickey can tongue her twat. They move on through a blowjob, doggie fucking, and a facial. It’s a scene that will make you know your remote control intimately since it takes about fifteen minutes to get through all that. After the first couple minutes I knew just how all those people Robert Hayes tried talking to on the plane in the movie Airplane! felt.

Sindee Coxx and Holly Hollywood get busy outside in the next scene. After some quick dirty talk and kissing, Sindee drops down to tongue Holly’s twat. They cool things off a bit pouring their water over each other before Holly reciprocates, including a little rimming and toy action for Sindee. Sindee gives Holly a little toy loving and rimming also before they cuddle and the camera fades out. It’s a pretty good scene, but just misses average due to the camera work and editing. Holly and Sindee have some great chemistry, but once again, the scene seems much longer than it needed to be.

Alana Evans seduces her boss Kyle Stone in hopes of a little corporate advancement. She strips down and lets him get her ready orally before she demonstrates her lack of a gag reflex in one heck of a hummer. She takes Kyle in the mandatory reverse cowgirl and doggie before taking a great facial and apparently swallowing a bit down. It’s a pretty good scene, but feels held back.

Concert pianist Autumn Haze, a cute brunette with more than a few tattoos, and ex-con Chris Cannon get busy for the next scene. Chris plays the gentleman and gives her a long oral warmup as well as all the fingers on one hand while showing how well he’s adjusting to life outside of prison by ignoring her ass. Autumn returns the favor with a decent blowjob before fucking Chris cowgirl and laying back for him to fuck her missionary style. They finish things up with Autumn taking a good facial and trying to suck every last drop out. It’s an okay scene but still disappointing. Autumn and Chris seem to be doing a great job, but the camera never seems to capture it all.

Finally, Steve Hatcher and Alexandra Silk get romantic back home after a night out. Once again, the guys starts off the oral action, and Alexandra looks like she’s having the time of her life. She returns the favor with an amazing looking blowjob before they work through a couple of the standard positions. It’s a pretty good scene that actually gets close to Alexandra and Steve’s potential. It’s easily the best scene of the movie, and actually gets above average.

Different Worlds is a perfect way to describe Roy Karch’s take on couples porn. Like almost every other feature of his I’ve seen, I was bored almost immediately and started hunting for the remote withing the first five minutes of the feature rather than getting put in the mood for some loving with the wife. It’s almost like there was an effort put into the feature being boring. The camera often goes so close that you often don’t even get to see all of the girl’s head when she’s sucking cock, and are often at angles I really didn’t like. The scenes are also drawn out way longer than they need be, only have a few positions, and run much longer than the typical scene. With the exception of the final scene, there wasn’t a single scene that felt like it reached its full potential, which I think might have been the straw that broke this camel’s back. Different Worlds is best left in a different world than wherever you are.

Extras: Bios are included for Alexandra Silk, Steve Hatcher, Mickey G., Sindee Coxx, Holly Hollywood, Alana Evans, Kyle Stone, and Chris Cannon. Each bio includes a picture of the star and a varying amount of personal information. Trailers are included for The Fiesta, Emerald Rain, Sex Spell, Sex Island , Taboo of Tarot, and Goddess. The photo gallery lasts almost two and a half minutes with about seven seconds per nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. Of course, there’s also web links.

Finally, there’s a behind the scenes featurette that lasts about Alexandra Silk starts things out talking about what she likes sexually, Dia gives a little background on herself, and Sindee Coxx talks about finding herself online and sex. Holly Hollywood, Alana Evans, and Autumn Haze also talk about sex and porn. It’s a nice set of interviews that’s a lot more entertaining than the movie was.

Raincoat Factor: Low

Overall: Currently, most of Adam & Eve’s standard releases can be found online for between $10 and $25 with many stores offering them for under $17. This is way too much for what you get here. The movie is next to worthless, and not even as enjoyable as the first three minutes of the behind the scenes featurette. The transfer is pretty good, and the extras are the best thing about the feature.

Note to Adam & Eve: Although I don’t blame you for putting a minimum amount of effort into this movie, it shouldn’t feel like it. I wasn’t even to the movie before I thought this one was slopped together. It’s not a feeling people like to get.
