The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical qualities are a little above average, but not much. The audio is normally well balanced, but there are quite a few areas which feel a little hollow. The video is much the same way. It’s nicely lit, but has a soft feel that gets a little blurry for some of the distance shots. It’s better than VHS, but not a lot better.

Music: The music is nicely done. It’s a little harder than the normal porno music, but is nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

Disc Complaints: When you start the DVD, if you don’t make a selection at the main menu within about a minute the DVD stops. This is a bit annoying especially if you decide to start the DVD and then walk away to get something like your beverage of choice.

Menus: The main menu is nicely animated and gives a great first impression. The chapter menu is pretty standard ,and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature

When girls need a modeling gig, they head to United Colors Modeling. Daisy heads there when she finds herself needing a bit of cash, and learns how it all works. Scene 1 - Daisy and Chris Cannon

This gave the scene an odd feeling and killed quite a bit of heat in it for me. Of course, this was also the scene I had the highest expectations for, so I might have felt a little more disappointed because it didn’t come close to meeting those expectations.

Scene 5 - Rio Mariah and Tony Tedeschi

After being told what the answering machine is for, Rio gets it on with Tony while he dodges out on work. There’s great energy and great chemistry here, and it makes this one of the best scenes in the movie and a great scene to end things with.

United Colors of Ass 10 is a decent interracial sex movie. The chemistry and energy are average and above, and the performers are very nice looking. I’ll admit that with this cast I was a little disappointed, but most of that is due to the title. This is the first episode I’ve seen from the United Colors of Ass series, and I fully expected an interracial anal movie because of the title. When I found only one anal scene in the movie, I was a bit disappointed even though most of the scenes were well done. United Colors of Ass 10 is a nicely done movie with plenty of very nice interracial pairings.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery contains about two dozen very nice looking snapshots and full screen photos. Trailers are included for United Colors of Ass, United Colors of Ass 2, and United Colors of Ass 3. Bios with a photo and a little bit of personal information are included for Crissy Moran, Daisy, India, Rio Mariah, Simone, and Teanna Kai. There’s also photo shoot and behind the scenes featurettes, phone sex crap, and web information.

The photo shoot featurette lasts about thirteen minutes. It nicely focuses on each girl, starting with showing her posing for the still photos and then capturing a short interview with them. There’s even a bit of playing around between the girls. It’s a fairly short featurette, but it’s also quite a bit of fun and gives you a nice look at each of the girls and their personality.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts just over twenty minutes. It starts with a nice little interview with India about porn, music, and her production company. Daisy steps up to the camera next and talks about being a nymphomaniac and her sex scenes. Rio, one of the few Brazilians out there who’s not a she-male, talks about sex, why American men are better than Brazilian men, and working with Tony Tedeschi (who pipes in with a few comments as well). Crissy Moran, who’s a cute short haired brunette rather than the long haired blonde in the movie, talks about being in the industry for about three years before they talk with Teanna Kai about Asian pussy. Simone talks about her ethnicity, what she likes sexually, and being young before they talk with the makeup artist about Simone’s natural beauty and getting it ready for the camera. After all that, there’s even a bit of footage of the stars preparing for their scenes where you learn about Daisy not knowing about Communist leaders and the still photos being shot. It’s another very nicely done featurette that gives a great look at the girls in the movie as people as well as sex stars.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Video Team DVDs can be found online for between $13 and $25, with most stores offering them for about $20. I’d aim at the low end here, but I was also expecting an anal movie here. If you just want varied interracial sex, then you’ll probably do well here. The sex is all above average, and there’s some very nice extras. The biggest problem with the overall DVD is that the technical aspects are a bit weak in points.

Note to Video Team: Although this series has been around a while, I doubt I’m alone in checking out this series expecting an anal movie with some nice and varied ethnic pairings. You might consider making your boxcovers a bit more clear on this point. Other than that, you’re making nice progress on your DVDs. It’s very nice to look at a few of a company’s DVDs over time and see improvement over time. I hope it keeps up!
