classic connoisseur's
Length 78:20 Year 1981 The VCX dvd of HIGH SCHOOL MEMORIES is in fullscreen as are most of their dvd's and the picture quality is not too bad on this dvd. It's certainly a step up from their dvd of THE DEVIL IN MISS JONES. The audio is fine and everyone can be understood easily throughout the movie. This movie really deserved some extras and it includes none at all, not even the ones promised on the front cover. VCX should really get with the game and try to get some commentary tracks for their classic dvd releases as the other companies such as VCA and NuTech are doing. The story to this movie is that coach Salinas (Jamie Gillis) is coming back for a reunion with the some teachers he worked with, and a student he had on his football team 5 years earlier. He has changed a lot in the last 5 years, but first we get to see how he was 5 years earlier and it is quite an entertaining view of the trip on the bus of him and his football team to a football game. High School Memories is a fun film from the golden age that should please couples and fans of the classics. Those who like nastier sex, don't like a plot or don't like hairier women probably will want to skip this one. Unlike previous VCX discs, they have improved upon some of their more frustrating previous problems with this one. [read the full review]

Running Time: 64 min. Production Date: pre- 7 / 3 / 1995 Director: Mario Salieri Cast: Selen, Joy Karins, Simona Valli, Deborah Wells, Maeva, Draghixa, Tania Lariviere, Dalila, Manuela Simone, Nicoleta Astori, Jolth Walton, Ron Jeremy, Joe Calzone, Eric Vincent, Franck David, Ennio Luise, Richard Voicin, Robert Malone, John Sanders, and Ennio Luise Initial Expectations: This version of Dracula won a ton of European awards which gives me good hopes for it. Initial Reaction: It appears to have a very high budget but feels highly edited. Who Should Watch It : Fans of classic porn and high production values and people with short attention spans. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants decent dubbing in foreign films and complete sex scenes Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear, although when its dubbed it should be. The dubbing, however, is hilarious. I couldnt hold back the laughter during the sex scenes. Sadly, I dont think it was meant to be so funny. [read the full review]

Director: Adam York Screenwriter: Todd Sellers Director of Photography: Ken Peterson Year of Release: 1989 Runtime: 79 min. Original Format: Video Cast: Barbara Dare, Tabatha Fox, Kim Spies (aka Carol Cummings), Alexis Storm, Scott Irsh (Irish), Don Fernando, Buck Adams, Sasha Gabor, Brett (Next) One of the many adult films that feature a 'Debbie' doing someone or something, this one is nothing special. Barbara Dare plays Debbie, "America's Most Desired" woman, in a story that is painfully simple. Hal (Brett Next) is the host of a television show called "America's Most Desired." He has toured the country in search of the most desirable woman in America. He is now down to four finalists that he proceeds to showcase for our viewing pleasure. Finalist #1: An ugly hairdresser named Carolyn Carter (Carol Cummings) with dark hair and a bad boob job. Bonnie & Clyde 4: The Revenge of Bonnie & Clyde review summaries:
fu_q's
The plot thickens for the stunningly gorgeous actress, Racquel Darrian, and her sugar-daddy hubby, Buck Adams, as the film that the latter is financing for the former finds the two driven further and further apart. Of course, Adams' building jealousy and the tantalizing, extramarital temptations that they both face don't help much, either. Such is the case in "Bonnie & Clyde 4: The Revenge of Bonnie and Clyde", the overall-good conclusion to Paul Thomas' and Vivid's series of the mid-1990's. [read the full review]

Bonnie & Clyde 3: Secrets of Bonnie and Clyde review summaries:

"Bonnie & Clyde 3: The Secrets of Bonnie and Clyde" is the third installment in the mid-90s series of films from Vivid and Paul Thomas that nominally recounts the tale of the infamous duo named in the title. While the first two flicks did just that, this third one in the sequence actually shifts gears a bit, as it focuses in on the fictitious filming of a "Bonnie & Clyde" movie. [read the full review]

Starring: John Holmes, Linda Wong, Carole Hilton, Jacklin Morina, Joanne Levine, Moly Jack, Montana, Valerie Perrine, Joey Silvera, John Seaman, Alan Orkin Directed By: Sam Norvell What do Johnny Appleseed, Pecos Bill, and John Holmes' cock all have in common? Yes, they're bigger than life, but they're also a part of American folklore. Their legends have a knack for getting exaggerated over the course of time. One must stretch his imagination quite a bit to buy into the tall tales told in children's storybooks, however, when it comes to Johnny Wad's wad we've got history recorded on film, videotape, and now DVD. His manhood has taken on mythic proportions--deservedly so, or not--but there's no denying the late poster boy for golden age smut packed some serious wood. With their DVD release of Holmes' pimp film Stormy, I'm surprised NuTech Digital was able to fit his entire dick on just one disc. It's a shame, however, the movie contained on that disc doesn't live up to the grandeur of its star's legend. [read the full review]

Sexy Nurses On and Off Duty review summaries:
Draken's
Pre-Viewing Expectations What guy, in the unlikely event of being pent up in a hospital, hasn't fantasized about a sexy nurse coming into their room and doing a bit of (to borrow from the song) Sexual Healing? Does "Sexy Nurses On and Off Duty" fullfil this fantasy? About the only thing the case says on this one is that the nurses will make sure you are sexually healthy whether or not they are on duty. It does point out that this is from their "Classic Collection" meaning it has been digitally remastered and re-released on DVD format. The Main Event The first scene opens with a nurse saying it is 10 midnight and she's waiting for four doctors to join her in the room. She's wearing a white outfit, and the typical white hat with the red cross sybol on it. Do nurses even wear such hats anymore? Soon enough, the four guys enter, already nude. Glad I don't see nude doctors walking around the halls when I'm unfortunate enough to be at the hospital. [read the full review]

Cast: Veronica Hart, Juliet Anderson, Marlene Willoughby, Merle Michaels, Jody Maxwell, Samantha Fox, John Leslie, Richard Bolla, Bobby Astyr, Ron Hudd and Joey Silvera and in sex roles; Jolet Kodet, Candida Royalle, Erica Eaton, Elyse Alexander, Cami Graham, Josh Andrews, Al Greenbach, Henri Pachard and several others in nonsex roles. Director and writer: Henri Pachard Production date: ©1981 Length: 83 min. Extras: A slide show with 20 stills and a catalog list of classic VCA titles. Audio/visual quality: The quality of print is excellent, with a minimum of speckles and other defects. The lighting tends to be a bit low, but in a way that's flattering to the performers. The mix of camera angles is good. Shadows partially obscure some of the action, though not to the point that it bothers me. The penetration footage is briefer and generally less explicit than is common nowadays; it holds up well, however, when compared to other movies of the day. Two of the five scenes contain sex sounds only. [read the full review]

classix comment's
Nu Tech's release of Gary Graver's 1975 classic film 3 A.M. is certainly one of the finest classic releases to come from any porn company. This superior film with masterful performances from Georgina Spelvin and one shot wonder Charles Hooper was the first hardcore feature from former Orson Welles protégé Graver (Amanda By Night, V The Hot One). Graver skillfully combines Bergman like cinematographic techniques with almost existential philosophies, resulting in one of the most accomplished hardcore films ever made. [read the full review]

The tagline promises that "BIGGER is definitely BETTER" and they must be right because I had a great time watching it. The sex was hot and every scene that they chose showed people really enjoying themselves. There is not one moment in the whole DVD where someone looks bored or appears to be faking it. These scenes are the good stuff - porno gold! All the women have nice, big breasts and, best of all, they're real. No silicone or saline here folks, only good old-fashioned boobs like mom used to have. Only these girls are prettier and nastier than mom - they are hot sex fiends. Vista Valley P.T.A. (NuTech) review summaries:
jayo's
Vaguely based on the popular song of the time, "Harper Valley PTA," this old-school movie-with-a-plot is about a new teacher (Jessie St. James) and the students and parents of Vista Valley High School. Forget the plot, because like most porn movies it's just a method of setting scenes and it's pretty worthless. The real attraction of this movie is its stars, which reads like a who's who of porn circa 1980. Jessie St. James, Dorothy LeMay (credited on screen as Lexmax), Juliett Anderson, Kay Parker (on screen as Kay Taylor) Jamie Gillis and John Leslie are all in their prime. By modern standards the scenes are often missing something--the camera doesn't get every little thing the way it does now, and a lot of scenes seem shorter than one might expect. Almost everyone gets only one sex-scene in the movie, including Kay and Juliett, who would become two of porn's biggest stars, and Jessie St. James, the star of the movie. The DVD itself is no-frills. It divides the movie into six chapters, so expect a lot of fast-forwarding if you want to see something in particular. [read the full review]

The DVD itself is no-frills. It divides the movie into six chapters, so expect a lot of fast-forwarding if you want to see something in particular. [read the full review]

Old timers will recognize the reference to "Harper Valley P.T.A.," a story song written by Tom T. Hall and recorded by Jeannie C. Riley in 1968. The song went to number one on both the pop and country charts, and later became the concept of a 1978 movie starring Barbara Eden, as well as a short-lived TV series also starring Eden. This film was shot around 1979 or 1980, and it is hot!! Jessie St. James is the star, but there is a lot of good female talent including Dorothy LeMay, Kay parker, and Sharon Kane. This film is surprisingly mean spirited, and some people will be disturbed by depictions of incest (compare the Kane-Gillis coupling in this film with the duo's scene in Michael Ninn's New Wave Hookers, almost 20 years later). The film is plot driven and the sex scenes are typically much shorter than today, but they are very effective. The film was shot on film, and the DVD transfer is very good. The extras are the usual from Nu-Tech, nothing spectacular. [read the full review]

The original movie was a comedy based on a popular song. This time, we know from where the inspiration comes, but it's not so easy to label this as comedy, melodrama, or anything else. I suppose the term "porn" will have to suffice. Shot in the early 80's, Vista Valley PTA is considered a classic if only for it's age, but God bless NuTech Digital for releasing it despite it's dated look. [read the full review]

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the production of "The Opening of Misty Beethoven", the 1970's adult film classic from director Radley Metzger and VCA. Starring Constance Money as a young prostitute whom the late Jamie Gillis chances upon while plying her trade in a Parisian theater, this flick traces her journey from an erotically uninspired bore to a talk-of-the-town, world-class sexpot. Indeed, under Gillis' tutelage and with his wealthy friend's (Jacqueline Beudant's) fortune, Money transforms from a hapless, young harlot unwilling to suck a dick to a seasoned pro, capable of pleasuring a group of men, turning homosexuals with her charms, and ultimately seducing the most powerful name in men's publishing and his mistress (Gloria Leonard). What do you get when you mix Metzer, a classic play, two very hot actors, and a relatively big budget? You get the best porno movie ever made. Unfortunately, that's not saying very much since most porn movies are extremely bad and being the best of the worst isn't exactly a very good accomplishment. The largest problem with this movie is that the plot was razor thin and extremely fragmented. The flow of the story was continuously interrupted by needless scenes of blowjobs. (Way too many blowjobs in my opinion. Metzer is way too obsessed with blowjobs. The ratio of blowjobs to vaginal sex was something like 10 to 1.) He also liked to add in ridiculous dialogue to the ends of good scenes. I suppose his intention was to break the tension of sexual arousal with some comedy. (Mainstream movies do this all the time like when they add a comedy bit to an action sequence.) This device did not work for this movie because it ended up coming across as being stupid rather than funny which is funny since the play that this movie is based on is actually funny all the way through. NOTE: This is not your typical review. Others have done an excellent job reviewing the content, scenes, performances, etc. of this porn classic. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. MISTY (ALMOST) INTACT! To paraphrase one of Jamie Gillis lines in the movie, Theyve left alone Misty Beethoven! Theyve left alone Misty Beethoven! After side-by-side, shot-by-shot comparison of the new DVD version of the Henry Paris (Radley Metzger) classic with an old video that appears to have been made from an original release print of the film, only two short shots and the end title appear to be missing from the new DVD. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting bondage where the cast is obviously into it Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting bondage thats heavily pain focused The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good, especially when one considers the age of the feature and that its a bondage feature. Starring: Lisa DeLeeuw, Dorothy LeMay, Georgina Spelvin, Susan Nero, Chris Cassidy, Brooke West, John Leslie, Dewey Alexander, Hershel Savage Directed By: Robert McCallum The term "classic porn" is usually an oxymoron. After all, even the very best adult movies were cranked out over a week's shooting and shared little in common with their mainstream counterparts. Deep Throat, for all it's grandeur in the porn world is still a B-movie production. Yet, these "classics" are pretty damned entertaining, and nobody ever got off watching Citizen Kane. Garage Girls is one such classic "good time" kind of movie. It's silly, it's dated, and its jokes fall about as flat as a souffle in a thunderstorm. But, it's also sexy, fun to watch, and worth the discounted price most on-line retailers are charging for it. Garage Girls plays like one of those late night cable movies about a bunch of frat guys and their misadventures at spring break. You know the kind; you might find Danny Bonaduce making a cameo. This is no spring break movie, though. [read the full review]

Handsome is one of those late 70s Joe Gage flicks that nostalgia buffs seem to go crazy for. Gage was the mastermind behind LA Tool and Die, Kansas City Trucking Company, and El Paso Wrecking Corp. If youve seen any of those, you should have a pretty good idea what to expect. First things first, I have a serious beef with this movie. I feel I was generally deceived into buying this. The back of the DVD promises no rubbersall natural, wanton filthy fucking, horny hard dick, ass-ramming orgy, all man classic sucking, fucking, and more. Sounds hot, doesnt it? Well guess what? The reason there are no rubbers here is because there is no fucking what- so-ever in this movie. But, joeblow, you say, clearly the back of the DVD shows people fucking. [read the full review]

Mainly MF sex with one FF bathtub scene, one solo-female scene, and a brief j/o by Tom Byron. When Zara White first burst onto the adult movie screen in early 1990, she just so happened to appear in two of the very best works of erotica ever made: "House of Dreams" directed by Andrew Blake, and "Buttman's Ultimate Workout" directed by John Stagliano. Both movies received lots of critical acclaim, and both were extremely popular with an audience who were hungry for quality videos amidst the eighties glut of hardcore junk. Dark-haired, thin and with stunning good looks, Zara became a star overnight with the obviously winning combination of beauty and carnality. In both HOD and BUW, she appeared with the now legendary Rocco Siffredi, performing anal on camera and delivering a performance which made audiences (and their private parts) stand up and take notice. Zara then began to star in other videos, none of which really maintained the quality (not to mention success) of her work with Andrew Blake (where she had another scene with Rocco) or with Evil Angel (as she appeared in Buttman's European Vacation). I'm not sure how many fans are aware of this title, but I am of the opinion that this is one of John Leslie's best directorial efforts. Truly, a gem of a porno flick. Let's get to the scenes: Scene 1: Eric Price and Selena Steele. I have always been a huge Selena Steele fan. She never seems to disappoint and this opening scene (she's in 3 total!!!) is one of her best. And it's just a blowjob scene. But what a scene!! Joey Silvera is also in the scene but he's just in the background watching Selena give one of the all-time great blowjobs to Eric Price. Leslie shoots it very well, with some POV shots while Price is getting blown and the cumshot is spectacular. Selena brings him off in stunning fashion as he explodes all over her chest. Not a facial, per se, but she strokes him roughly and rubs his cock all over her glistening chest at the end. Amazing. Scene 2: Joey Silvera, Marc Wallice and Lauren Brice. Eric Price and Selena Steele. The five of them are all getting it on in the groupings listed above. Lauren looks good here, tho this is pre-boob job. [read the full review]

Soon after Blake's first movie was released, imitators filed onto video store shelves as fast as modern distribution channels would allow them. Almost all of them were an embarrassment. It seemed that the copy-cats missed the point, entirely. Andrew Blake's movies weren't sexy because the actresses wore sunglasses, or because the music was moody. BARBARA BROADCAST DVD EDITS After doing a side-by-side, shot-by-shot comparison of the new DVD version of the Henry Paris (Radley Metzger) classic with an old video that appears to have been made from an original release print of the film, it looks like only two scenes have been edited and/or shortened for the Barbara Broadcast DVD. However, these are major edits, as will be detailed later. [read the full review]

Bad (VCA) review summaries:
Corey Thomas'
"Bad" is probably the weakest John Leslie movie I have seen. Even weak John Leslie is usually better than 90 of the usual porn, but this movie is a true disappointment and deserves it's title. Still I have to say that weak John Leslie films are ten times better than weak Paul Thomas movies. One of the problems of this DVD is that it is so edited down. IAFD lists the original as 82 minutes and the DVD version runs 67. It is obvious that plot elements are missing and at times the movie makes little sense, unless you read reviews of the original VHS tape. The plot concerns a girl named Pat (Iiesha), who is sent to the Attitude Adjustment Center by her parents (Lauren Hall and Jamie Gillis). It is there that she will be under the control of Dr. Deeeeeep (not sure how many E's there are, but you get the point), played by Joey Silvera. Marc Wallice, Tom Byron, Peter North, and others play patients. Supposedly, Wallice convinces Dr. Deeeeeep to hypnotize Pat and then has his way with her. [read the full review]

Boy, Marc Wallice, Randy Spears, and Jamie Gillis Initial Expectations: I remember watching this when it first came out for two reasons - Ashlyn Gere and Madison. I dont remember much of anything about the movie, but my motivations for seeing it havent changed. Initial Reaction: The sex is good but everything feels very short. Who Should Watch It : Fans of Ashlyn Gere and Madison, people with short attention spans. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes long drawn out scenes. Audio /Video Quality: Bad looks and sounds every bit as good if not better than it originally did if memory serves. Both are very clear, looking and sounding better than many of todays features. Music: There isnt music for every scene but when there is its the typical porno music from the early nineties. [read the full review]

The "frigid", brunette legend, Candida Royalle, goes to investigate when her husband, Jon Martin, is spending far too much of his time at the local, members-only tennis club and far too little of it with her. Of course, what she finds is that the club is predominantly a horny haven for husbands and ho's, whose focus is distinctly more on fucking than it is on fuzzy balls and rackets. Whether Candida will get totally pissed off by her discovery or merely succumb to the club's various sexual trappings becomes the pressing question of the day. Such is the case in "Hot Rackets", an exceptional, 1979 release from Cal Vista and director Robert McCallum. [read the full review]

Directed by Robert McCallum 1979 Runtime: 1 hour 20 minutes 38 seconds Truly a classic adult film. That it is a product of the seventies is clear from the opening credits where the screen is broken into four parts with a tennis ball in the middle. Over the tennis ball are displayed the names of the cast and primary crew, and the four screens play various clips from the film whetting the viewers appetite and preparing them for what is about to come. It all starts when Herb Adler (John Martin) wakes up and rolls over to his nude wife, Liz (Candida Royalle). He begins to grope her and tries to arouse her, but she will have none of it. Through an angry exchange on Herb's part, we find out that this is their usual behavior. Herb claims she is frigid. She does not deny this, and Herb storms off to get a shower. In the shower, the maid Sally (Chris Cassidy) expresses her sympathy for Herb. [read the full review]

Running Time: 82 min. Production Date: 2 / 7 / 1991 Director: F. J. Lincoln and Patty Rhodes Cast: Teri Weigel, Alicyn Sterling, Ashley Nicole, April Rayne, Marc Wallice, Joey Silvera, Joey Murphy, and Murrill Maglio Initial Expectations: Its a Wicked release. Nuff said. Initial Reaction: Ugh! I think this is the worst Wicked release Ive seen. Audio /Video Quality: The audio has quite a bit of wind or some other background noise. Its a kind of fuzz throughout the entire movie. The video is what Id consider good VHS quality. Its slightly grainy and it isnt helped by the bad lighting in most of the movie. Theres also a lot of pixelation flashes towards the end of the movie. Music: To call it cheesy would be a compliment. It ranges from well balanced to extremely overpowering. Review: Inferno tries to get by on the charm of leading lady Teri Weigel, which seems kind of strange as this is her first movie. Teri had a huge following, and she shows a lot of talent in Inferno . "Deep Inside Teri Weigel" is an interesting (and sexy) release from Vivid Video that dates back to around the year 2000. As opposed to a typical porn film, this production focuses far more upon the non-hardcore elements of Teri's work than it does her straight-up fucking. As such, it won't be for everyone, but her fans may well find its deeper look into her life refreshing. [read the full review]

Pros: Angel, Ginger Lynn, one of my all time favorite sex scenes where Angel masturbates while she watches Ginger Lynn have sex Cons: Audio/Video is horrid, no features worth mentioning, plot is horrid, necrophlia-like sex scene, gives the impression that a woman makes up her mind to have sex with you only after she has your dick in her mouth, sacreligious Captivated by: Angel(she is so attractive and innocent looking), Ginger Lynn(gotta love those hips) Plot: Angel is taken away from her boarding school by Ginger Lynn. She watches Ginger have sex then is taken to a whorehouse where she watches sex. Then she is auctioned off. She escapes and runs into a couple of police officers who take her home for sex. Then she is chased by a flasher who forces her to have sex. Then she is dead and has sex with an undertaker. Then she wakes up and has lesbian sex in a stationwagon while the Village People(YMCA) watch outside and masturbate onto the window. Really bad points: 1. Absolutely smoking is probably the best way to describe John Leslie''s "Goin'' Down Slow", an exceptional 1988 release from the actor/director and VCA. Sure, it has a plot--a pretty good one, in fact, involving a nosey, peeping neighbor (Ona Zee), a letter to an adult magazine columnist (Robert Bullock), cheating all around, and even murder and betrayal--but the storyline just can''t help but seem secondary to the blazing hot sex that abounds. Indeed, rife with tension, intensely erotic setups, and stunning beauties, the action in this one truly hits the mark in just about every spot. [read the full review]

"Goin' Down Slow", John Leslie's second directorial effort after "Nightshift Nurses" is a very different kind of adult film. It has a huge emphasis on storyline and style, rather than sex, which at times makes some of the sexual scenarios seem pointless or uninteresting. The plot itself is amazing: Ironic, full of twists and turns, and unpredictable. It is the porn equivalent of a Hitchcock movie. Ona Z plays a lonely woman who likes to watch her neighbor Ellen's (Shanna McCullough) daily trysts with lover George Anton (John Leslie). Ona's in love with George and thinks that he should be hers. Ellen is married to Martin (Robert Bullock), an advice columnist who goes under the name "Madame Rona". George is Martin's boss. Kathleen Gentry plays Martin's secretary and Joey Silvera plays a photography. Later, when a murder is committed, all of these characters come into play. What happens, I will not say, but I will say that John Leslie makes no easy assumptions. There are a fair amount of sex scenes, but none of them are very long or memorable. [read the full review]

This is a compilation of unrelated scenes featuring the late John C. Holmes, and his incredible 13-inch schlong. (This compilation is vastly superior to another John Holmes compilation DVD that I review on this site) Some of the scenes are from Holmes' Johnny Wadd series from the 1970s, directed by Bob Chinn. The plot and acting from the scenes included in this compilation makes me wish that the whole Johnny Wadd series would be rescued from the vaults and re-issued on DVD. I imagine that most of these movies simply no longer exist, which is too bad. A couple of years ago, Bob Chinn tried to re-start the Johnny Wadd series with a different actor. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a market for expensive, plot-driven features with high production values. These types of movies are out-competed by the flood of much cheaper gonzo material that completely dispenses with plot, writing, acting, outdoor shots, indoor sets, etc. [read the full review]

Tease, The review summaries:
The Pervert's
John Leslie is currently known for his stylistic loops he directs for Evil Angel. However, his best work, arguably, are the thematic, sexually-charged features he directed for VCA during the late 80's and early 90's. The Tease was a movie I'd never heard of before. But, with a cast list of Selena Steele, Ashlyn Gere, and Lauren Hall, I knew I had to check this one out... The movie stars the beautiful yet enigmatic Lauren Hall, the x-rated version of Linda Carter (Wonder Woman), who lets writer Randy West stay in her house for a month to help put some of her sexual experiences to words. If he can withstand living with Hall for a month without becoming intimate, Hall promises it will be worth it to them both, the idea being "good things cum to those who wait..." However, West immediately falls under the spell of the seductive Hall and struggles to keep it together as he watches Hall and Selena Steele put on some nasty, naughty shows for him. After reviewing "The Fashionistas", I decided that it was time for me to review my other favorite porno movie. "Hidden Obsessions" is an incredible presentation, and anyone who is familiar with Andrew Blake's work knows about his style of porn. He has created some of the most visually spectacular movies ever made. With this movie, he is at his best. It's an awesome showcase of cinematography and music, which makes it an incredibly beautiful movie. The movie is about a writer (Janine Lindemulder) who is hired by a collector to write erotic stories, and each scene is a visual depiction of a particular story. A woman (Heather Hart) comes home from work, and she is having an affair with her boss (Steve Drake). There are lots of closeups in this scene as well as soft lighting. The music is soft jazz, which fits perfectly with the action. Janine sits by her pool while using a laptop. She then fingers herself as inspiration for her next story. This is interspersed with the story itself, which features her and another woman (Julia Ann) using an ice dildo. [read the full review]

Starring: Amber Lynn, Colleen Brennan, Porsche Lynn, Karen Summer, Lorrie Lovett, Shone Taylor, Jamie Gillis, Joey Silvera, Kevin James Johnathan Younger, Billy Dee. Directed By: Kirdy Stevens There are only a handful of adult films which can easily be called classics. Among them is Kirdy Stevens' Taboo. Despite the modern day Max Hardcores, Rob Blacks, and the other multitudes of directors who dispatch "extreme hardcore" to your local smut shop, Stevens' tales of consentual incest are as controversial now as the day he shot them. In fact, the Taboo series continues on, though it has left its incestuous subject matter far behind. Once though, incest porn was a strange little niche market and it wasn't uncommon to find stories of fathers getting it on with their teenage daughters, teenage sons seducing their mothers, or siblings exploring sexuality together. Does this make you uneasy? Queasy even? Well, I think it's supposed to...a little. Sometime after Taboo 5 this series eliminated the incest angle. [read the full review]

This 1984 release from Cal Vista is a couple of years too recent to be considered "Golden Age," but is definitely a classic. Produced by Sam Norvell and directed by Robert McCallum, it features 70s porn superstar Annette Haven, along with John Leslie, Harry Reems, R. Bolla, and Hershel Savage. It also features "Angel" who was breifly the rage during the mid-1980s. She does a scene with Leslie and another with R. Bolla. My favorite performer is the under-celebrated Janey Robbins. She had a great body and was a very enthusiastic sex performer. Robbins also has a cute Minnesota accent (like the female sheriff in "Fargo"). Here, she does two scenes, one with R. Bolla and one with Hershel Savage (a purported incest scene). Strangely, it appears that this movie was intended to have a sequel, but I've never seen it, and I don't think it was ever made. Nu-tech has done an acceptable job on the DVD transfer; it looks much better than the tape I had. Nu-tech also features Dolby surround sound, but I couldn't detect any improvement in the sound. Year: 1985 Length: 86 minutes Even though this is part of the NuTech line of Classic dvd collecion series this is certainly no classic. You might think it is by looking at the cast involved (Harry Reems, Jamie Gillis, John Leslie, Amber Lynn) and directed by Robert McCallum, but unfortunately the sex and the storyline to this movie are severely lacking. The plot to this story is supposed to be something similar to that of a soap opera, but I didn't find it to be any more similar to a soap opera than any other porn film I've seen. Basically the problem is that there was no plot at all and this is a problem in a porn film that pretends to have a plot. This movie pretended to have a story line and it had just enough to get in the way but not enough to make any sense, so this is one problem. Either they should have just went wall to wall sex with this one or have developed the story line more fully and made a full feature sex film out of this movie. [read the full review]

This Cal-Vista shot-on-film feature from around 1984 has very little to recommend it. The sex is routine. Even the delightful Janey Robbins, one of the unsung heroines of early porn, is largely wasted. The plot has stewardess Juliet Anderson wanting to be the first female pilot on her airline, with sister Tara Aire trying to help her along. There are alot of shots inside airliner shells, and outside of windows during flights, and pirate shots at airports, but we've seen it all before in better films from that era. This film features an extended mud wrestling scene, so if you can remember the mud wrestling fad of the 1980s, you can date this film. On the bright side, the film quality is excellent, and the transfer to DVD is very good as well. Technically the disc is very good. [read the full review]

Debbie Does Dallas continues to be an extremely popular adult film even to this day and is likely one of the best known of all adult films. The story of Debbie, a cheerleader, is one that transcends time and remains as fresh then as it does today. Debbie Does Dallas isn't the greatest adult film ever made but it certainly is fun to watch. If you haven't seen it yet and you are a fan of the genre, it is time to correct that. When Bambi Woods (Debbie) wins an opportunity to be a Texas Cowgirl, she and her fellow cheerleaders will stop at nothing to pay for the trip, even if it means providing special "services" to the local community's men. Length 83:42 Year 1978 This review will be a comparison between the 2 current releases of Debbie Does Dallas by the companies VCX and NuTech. With a review of the movie following. The VCX dvd of Debbie Does Dallas is slightly longer than the NuTech dvd of Debbie Does Dallas. I have seen both and noticed 4 slight cuts to the NuTech dvd. None of which were major. The running time on the VCX dvd is 19 seconds longer than the NuTech dvd, but the NuTech dvd has a better quality picture so I would recommend going with the NuTech dvd over the VCX dvd. The VCX dvd is divided into 5 chapters and there is a pause when the player switches between these chapters. This is not the case on the NuTech dvd as the movie is on one track on the NuTech dvd. The NuTech dvd appears to have been transfered from a film source while the VCX dvd appears to have been mastered from a vhs tape. [read the full review]
