Review:
Armed with a telescope and an overactive libido, Tommy Byron finds himself becoming more and more detached from reality as he peeps in on his super-hot (and super-freaky!) neighbors, Joanna Storm and Laurie Smith. Of course, as he continues his descent into despondence, his aunt (Honey Wilder) begins to take note. Her solution? To hire a private psychologist, the lovely Kay Parker, to treat young Tom while she's away for a weekend. Needless to say, this brings about its own unique set of sexy circumstances...and things heat up! So goes Private Teacher, a very good, 1983 release from director Robert McCallum and Caballero.
Quirky, bizarre and featuring taboo subject matter mixed with a sense of nostalgic innocence--hallmarks of its era and the genre--this fine, little fucker of a flick is as filthy as it is fun. From its raunchy romps to Tom's ever-growing obsessions, this one delivers on a variety of levels. Of course, the female cast is top-notch, with the likes of Kay Parker, Joanna Storm, Laurie Smith, Honey Wilder, and Janey Robbins onboard, and the plot--while not horribly intricate--is more than enough to justify the boinking. For its part, the musical score is standard 80's fare, and the action is well-cut and -captured. (The transfer to digital does show its age to some degree, however, though not enough to hold back the overall viewability.)
In terms of the sex, the dual pair of smoke-shows, Joanna Storm and Laurie Smith, provide a lot of the fireworks. Kinky and into weird sex games, they open up the film's action by dominating (and fucking) the "bunny", Paul Thomas, and--later on--they continue with a freaky barnyard-turned-robot-themed foursome involving Blair Harris and Marc Wallice. Despite the sexual madness, both of these scenes are scorchers.
Tommy also gets his dick wet, plowing Kay Parker, Joanna Storm (in a quickie with Laurie Smith trying to light up the action with a flashlight...kind of a fail), and the dick-draining duo of Janey Robbins (a nosey neighbor) and Honey Wilder (yes... his onscreen aunt... it was the 80's.) Honey also turns in some sexy work with Eric Edwards along the way, and the overall result is an amusing (and unique) bit of nostalgic nookie that, while certainly odd, will resonate well with the ever-growing legion of fans of porno past.
