Initial Expectations: I’ve had mixed results with Skye Blue. I’m not quite sure what to expect here.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good, especially since bondage and fetish features are normally known for having poor technical aspects. The audio is balanced pretty well, and I don’t think I heard a single background noise. The video varies a little, but most of it is very good. There’s a little grain, and even at its worst it’s better than a VHS transfer.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu has some okay animation to help it give a decent first impression. The chapter menu is okay, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

Borderline False Advertising: Tiffany Mynx gets second billing in the movie, but doesn’t take part in any of the action in the movie. The extent of her role in the movie is sitting and watching during one scene and walking through on another. If I picked this up because of being a Tiffany Mynx fan, I’d be really pissed!

The Feature

After reading some of the Dresden Diary, Summer Cummings feels the need to see Dresden for herself. She sneaks in and spies on the people in a couple rooms before being caught herself. She’s taken to her own room and subjected to the things she only read about before.

Scene 1 - Rebecca Lord and Deva Station

When slave Deva shows up late, Mistress Rebecca knows she has to teach her a lesson so she’ll follow her instructions better in the future. Rebecca has Deva spread her legs and drags clothespins along her thigh before putting them on her nipples. She slaps Deva with her flogger and places the clothespins on Deva’s thighs and pussy lips before continuing across Deva’s body. After she has them put on, she wiggles a few of the pins and then removes them. Rebecca gives Deva a few small kisses across her body as well before taking Deva across her knees and spanking her with both a gloved and bare hand.

This is a pretty good scene. Rebecca plays the dominant quite well while Deva does very well as the sub. It moves along nicely and keeps a nice bit of variety by including both clothespins and spanking. It’s not a scene that will be for everybody, but I think people who enjoy this sort of play will find the scene quite arousing.

Scene 2 - Sindee Coxx and Master Ernest Greene

Master Ernest starts things out with Sindee in his dungeon. He cuffs her wrists and ankles before flogging her ass. He adds some weight to her nipples before flogging her more, and then clamps for her pussy and a hood to deprive her of her senses in exchange for the removal of the nipple clamps. He gives Sindee a few tasks while blindfolded, showing her just how much she can do.

This is another very nicely done scene. Ernest is one of the masters of bondage, both in front of the camera and behind it, and I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a spiteful feel from him. You can tell that he enjoys what he’s doing, and he wants it to bring pleasure to his partners as well. That comes across very well in this scene, and makes it another winner for me.

Scene 3 - Summer Cummings and Johnny Roxxx

After Johnny discovers Summer spying on Master Ernest and Sindee, he takes her into another room to teach her a lesson. He gives her a lesson in not speaking unless spoken to. Johnny puts Summer’s tits in a vise and then adds some purple string to complete the package. Finally, Johnny takes some thick string and threads it through the rings in Summer’s pierced pussy. He ties them to the rails around Summer to hold it open, and encourages her to keep squirming until Tiffany arrives to take Summer to her next session.

This is a very different scene. As usual, Summer’s whiny personality works very well for this type of scene, and Johnny seems to know just how to deal with it. The aesthetics of the scene were the main thing which stood out to me, however. Although it doesn’t look to be comfortable for Summer, it does look very nice, and was almost always pleasing to the eye.

Scene 4 - Summer Cummings and Master Ernest Greene

Tiffany watches as Master Ernest flogs Summer. He also works on Summer’s ass with his bare hand and a belt, and happily gives her what she asks for when Summer asks for more and harder. Ernest continues to work Summer’s front and backside over with his equipment, and even breaks out a flogger and a cane to work her over with. After receiving Master Ernest’s tough love graciously, Summer is offered a place to stay at Dresden.

This is another well done scene. It focuses on spanking quite well, and I like how it takes the subject and varies it by using different instruments through the scene. As always Master Ernest shows some nice care, and Summer takes it all very well with some of her usual spirit. It’s a nice continuation of the previous scene and makes a good ending for the movie.

Dresden Diary 21 is a feature that I can see being something people either like or hate. Due to the subject matter and the action in the feature, I can see quite a few people being turned off by it, but they’d be turned off by it whether it was done well or not. I wasn’t always extremely into the action here, but it was always done very well. You could always tell that Master Ernest Greene cared about his partners and wanted them to enjoy themselves, and the other two scenes had some decent chemistry as well. Summer Cummings really stood out here, taking some nice action and adding her usual whiny character to raise the treatments up a notch. Dresden Diary 21 is a pretty good bondage movie, but not one I’d recommend for bondage beginners.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Bizarre DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $28 with most stores offering them for over $20. If this is your type of thing, you’ll probably get a lot of play out of this one. The action has a nice bit of variety and the technical aspects are nicely done. The only thing that’s really lacking here are decent extras.

Note to Bizarre Video: It’s great to see you putting so much effort towards your technical aspects for a bondage feature. The only thing that’s really holding you back from really good DVDs now are a few extras.
