The Short Story

Initial Expectations: This series hasn’t been the best for me, but Ernest Greene has impressed me enough with his movies that I can’t help but give it a chance.

Initial Reaction: Once again, Ernest Greene delivers a nicely done bondage feature.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting bondage where the cast is obviously into it

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting bondage that’s heavily pain focused

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good, especially when one considers the age of the feature and that it’s a bondage feature. The audio is pretty clear and well balanced, but there’s a few moments which just seem a little flat. The video is also nicely done. It’s nicely lit and has just a hint of grain. For a bondage feature, which are notorious for their low technical aspects, this one looks and sounds great.

Music: There’s a little music, but it’s kept very quiet and rests very nicely in the background.

Menus: The main menu has some okay animation to help it give a decent first impression. The chapter menu is okay, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

One can learn many things at Dresden. Chloe comes there seeking herself after a long search to find it. She’s helped on her quest both with personal experiences and seeing what happens to some of the others around Dresden.

Scene 1 - Chloe and Mistress Ilsa Strix

Shortly after arriving at Dresden, Mistress Ilsa puts a collar on Chloe to remind her of her role. She has Chloe strip down and let her know a few of the ground rules. When Chloe lets her know that she understands, Mistress Ilsa puts a pair of leather cuffs on her, fastens her to a wooden cross, and then lightly flogs her back to get her used to the sensation. She moves down to focus on Chloe’s ass with her flogger beofe blindfolding Chloe on a table. She tweaks Chloe’s nipples to get their attention before clamping them with clothespins. She works Chloe’s nipples a bit more before turning her attention to Chloe’s pussy. She gives Chloe’s pussy a series of clamps before removing all of them while giving her a little more instruction.

This is a nicely done scene. I really like how Mistress Ilsa narrates what’s happening, as it makes this a friendly scene for anybody new to bondage movies while fitting in with the idea behind the scene. Chloe does great in her role as well, giving what appear to be nicely realistic reactions. She mixes pleasure, uncertainty, and a little fear, which makes the scene work great. This is a very good scene to start things out with.

Scene 2 - Deva Station and John Decker

John takes a little time with Deva in the second scene. He starts out spanking her ass and running his nails down it. He gets out the flogger next, first working on her pussy and then her back and legs. Deva is also decorated with colored clothes pins and spanked with a few items before the scene fades out.

This is an okay scene. Deva seems to be into it pretty good, but I just couldn’t get into it. I think it might have had something to do with John’s smug look through the scene, but I found myself easily distracted the entire time.

Scene 3 - Chandler and Ryan Moore

Chandler is sent to Ryan after she’s caught misbehaving at various places around Dresden. He starts out working her over with a crop before breaking out his flogger and a paddle for her ass. Chandler also gets her front flogged, as well as slapped with a crop. Finally, Rob leaves her to wait for Mistress Ilsa to find her while still chained to the wall.

This is an excellent scene. No, there’s nothing really new here, but Chandler gets into the scene so much that I’m surprised you couldn’t see her juices running down her legs. You get the entire gambit of bondage reactions here, from intense pleasure to pain, but Chandler gets into it to the point that there’s never much doubt as to whether or not she’s into it.

Scene 4 - Mia Smiles, Cleo Nichole, and Master Ernest Greene

Finally, Master Ernest teaches Mia and Cleo a lesson. He starts them out on all fours on the bed and flogs their asses before rolling them over so he can give their fronts the same treatment. He has them kneel against the wall to whip their backs, and then lie on their backs again to even out the treatment across their bodies. He tests their camaraderie by whipping one while the other counts, and telling them that if one miscounts she gets another ten lashes. He also attaches a weighted nipple clamp between them before having Mia hold a vibe on Cleo while Ernest holds a strong vibe on Mia. When they both come at the same time, Ernest tells them that they’ll both get ten strokes with the cane, but the scene fades out before you see them.

This is a nice scene to finish things with. Ernest mixes things up a bit, and the girls seem to be into it nicely. I was a bit surprised to see Mia here as she always seems to play such a good girl, but she does a great job here and brings in some of her usual cuteness into what some might consider a dark scene. I really like how Ernest had the girls work as a team, with the loser being threatened with additional punishment. This is a very good closing scene, and adds nicely to the movie.

Dresden Diary 22 is a nicely done piece of bondage porn. Bondage seems to be something many people are curious about, and as usual Ernest Greene makes a movie that can be enjoyed by people who are curious or new to bondage as well as those who are very familiar with the lifestyle. Some of the acts get a little repetitive at times, but the cast is into it enough that I was able to get into almost every scene. Chandler easily leads the pack with this, and the only scene I wasn’t able to really get into was Deva Station. Dresden Diary 22 is a good bondage feature that’s at least worth renting if you’re interested in it.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Bizarre DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $28 with most stores offering them for over $20. If you’re into bondage, this one’s worth checking out. The cast is nicely into the action and makes it worthwhile. The technical aspects are nicely done, but there isn’t any effort put into the extras.

Note to Bizarre Video: Your movies are nicely done, but your overall DVDs lack. Please put a little attention into your DVDs. It doesn’t have to take much. Something as simple as a bonus scene or two from another movie will raise up the quality of your DVDs and hopefully draw consumers to another one of your movies.
