**Note – This review is based upon the VHS version of the film. As such, the bonuses haven’t been given a rating here, and there could be some discrepancies between this version and the later releases. (Namely, a Constance Money / Jamie Gillis sequence has been removed.)**
Review:
A young reporter (C.J. Laing) sent to interview a famed prostitute turned acclaimed author (Annette Haven) ultimately finds herself lured into the lurid, free-lovin' lifestyle of her subject, and with all of the fucking and sucking going on, she's certainly not turning back. Such is the case in "Barbara Broadcast", a very good, Golden Age release from Radley Metzger and VCA. Starring the lovely Ms. Haven, the dirty Ms. Laing, and featuring a fun plot set predominantly in a sex-themed restaurant, this flick definitely deserves its "classic" status. While there are more intricate storylines to be found out there, and the sex can be topped in other productions, as well, this one still holds up nicely and is a "must-see" for anyone interested in a well-rounded education in the history of adult fare. Indeed, it is often noted among the best of the era, and its status as such is well-deserved.
In terms of the sex, Scene One finds a patron, Zebedy Colt, and his waitress, Clea Carson, at an elegant restaurant that serves up much more than just food getting down to some oral action at his table. He eats her out as the second sequence unfolds.
In Scene Two, which breaks up the first sequence, a prim and proper Annette Haven blows a fan of hers (David Savage) at her table at the restaurant, all as C.J. Laing watches. Annette decides not to let him release and sends him packing with an autograph, a memory, and...likely...a hefty case of blue balls.
Scene Three immediately follows the prior sequences at the restaurant, with Annette ordering up a "#17", which entails her waiter, Peter Andrews, jerking off to completion in a dish of food.
In Scene Four, which is still at the restaurant, Clea Carson drops her tray, making a large mess, so she immediately has to blow her boss, Bobby Astyr. (No pop.)
Scene Five brings together a prostitute friend of Annette's, Shirley Peters, blowing and fucking a client, Alan Marlow, right there on a table in the restaurant. This quickie culminates in a cum-shot on her ass out of cowgirl, followed by a cummy reinsertion.

Of course, her discussions with Annette have her all hot and bothered, and it doesn't take much for the two to recognize their mutual attraction...particularly with C.J. hiking up her skirt, squatting over a metal bowl, and peeing (implied?) in it right in front of him. From there, a steamy oral, vaginal, and anal romp...along with several health code violations, no doubt...follows, and the good times ultimately culminate in a pop on her pooper and bush (cummy reinsertion). This is an exceptional sequence.

Laing dancing out on the floor. A few tokes on a joint later, and the two ladies shed their inhibitions (...not that Ms. Haven's character really had any to begin with...), and they get down to business right there in the crowded room. Ultimately, Jamie Gillis happens upon them, whips it out, and fucks C.J. until he climaxes upon her backside in doggie (cummy reinsertion)...all as she eats Annette. Ms. Laing blows him further after this, all as Annette watches intently, and she manages to jerk another load out of him (oral cock clean-off).
In all, this flick is a very good release that has stood the test of time quite well. A fairly well-known classic, it features two of the true superstars of its era, Annette Haven and C.J. Laing. While it won't be for everyone--particularly given its age and the inherent differences between films of its time and those of the modern day--it's still a "must-see" for fans of the Golden Age and / or those looking to broaden their pornographic horizons.
