It''s all about fun, sun, nose candy, and hot buns, when two hot-to-trot cops, Amber Lynn and Sheri St. Clair, go deep undercover (...emphasis on "deep"...) to bust a major south Florida drug dealer, Eric Edwards, in "Miami Spice". A very good, 1986 release from Svetlana and Caballero, this filthy little fucker simply exudes 80''s flavor and charm from start to finish. [read the full review]

It's 80s punk-kink to the max when the lovely ladies of Jamie Gillis' and Jack Baker's freaky escort agency don their headphones and take in the intoxicating tunes of their new wave music. With the sexy sounds both impairing their judgment and overriding their inhibitions, these young women can (and will) do just about anything...and their assorted customers are most certainly the winners. Such is the case in the Dark Brothers' classic production, "New Wave Hookers", from VCA Pictures. [read the full review]

The Dark Brothers' "New Wave Hookers" was an original (before the numerous sequels), hot, hilarious movie upon its release in 1985 and some, but not all of those elements hold up today. The story involves two slackers, Jimmy (Jamie Gillis) and Jamal (Jack Baker), who spend their time drinking beer and watching porn videos. As the movie begins, Jimmy tells Jamal they should become pimps and open an escort service, New Wave Hookers, where the girls would fuck to new wave music. They soon fall asleep, where they are transported into another world: They now run New Wave Hookers Incorporated and have a "dog" (Steve Powers), who telepathically receives phone calls. Their first girl is Candy (Desiree Lane), who skates into their office. Jimmy and the "dog" try her out, while Jimmy watches and masturbates (Jack Baker was actually a legitimate actor, playing Sticks on "Happy Days", and his sexual acts are limited to self-gratification and oral sex). Next Brooke Fields and Kimberly Carson visit a barely recognizable Peter North, who lives in a tent. [read the full review]

New Wave Hookers is not a film for everyone and will probably not be enjoyed by the average raincoater crowd. For viewers that like an adult film where the plot is important for the film and the sex fits into the film, this might be the film for you. Bear in mind though when selecting this film that the film is weird, purposely so, and if that is not your thing, you'll want to pass on this film. [read the full review]

The illuminati are real, they're exercising world domination from the lost city of Atlantis, and they've entrusted a super-pimp, Jack Baker, with a magic wand that allows him to enchant his harem of hookers to ultimately serve their nefarious purposes. "New Wave Hookers 2" is really a film as much behind its time as the original was ahead of it. The sexual heat is turned way up, but this sequel lacks the grit and gleeful griminess of it's Papa. By no means essential, but a decent time in front of the boob tube, nonetheless. [read the full review]

Unable to grasp the raw sexuality fervently bubbling up and manifesting itself in her erotic dreams, a young woman (Tori Welles) seeks out the aid of a pair of cutting-edge psychologists (Randy Spears and Porsche Lynn) whose dream-viewing machine may be just the ticket to helping her realize her full, fornicating potential. Of course, along the way, Tori's put through her pornographic paces, as she diddles up a storm and whilst her vibrant visions flash across the laboratory's screen. Such is the case in "Night Trips", an overall-good, 1989 release form Caballero and director Andrew Blake. [read the full review]

Starring : Tori Welles, Jamie Summers, Porsche Lynn, Randy Spears, Peter North etc. Directed, photographed, edited and written by : Andrew Blake Running Time : 74 Minutes Review : One of the best-known films of Andrew Blake (and yes, this is shot on glorious 35mm), Night Trips is also his first hardcore outing. All the typical Blake trademarks are here : Fast cutting, beautiful women who are heavily made up and costumized (though less excessively here than usual), and great cinematography and lighting. Indeed, after having been let down by EVERY shot- on-film feature, this was the first that was both properly developed (no extreme grain or bad color correction) and really well shot. Night Trips 2 is an excellent film for viewers that like arty and tame sex. Although there is a minute plot, the imagery is the reason to watch this film. Despite the very poor transfer and the authoring problems, the film is not unwatchable and fans of Andrew Blake's work will still want to pick this disc up. Viewers that are new to Andrew Blake may want to seek out a film that has been given better treatment on DVD and hope that this one gets the release it deserves one day. [read the full review]

The audio was fine. Extras: Um.. The Movie: Paula Price thinks she has a problem just because she can't stop thinking about sex and masturbates constantly.. Welcome to the club Paula, but right away I can see what the problem is. This woman needs to get off! And the way she half-heartedly walks around touching herself and rubbing up against doorknobs isn't the way to do it. But it looks artistic and sexy. That's what Andrew Blake is all about, and no one does better. How nice it is not to have to fast forward through all the double and triple penetrations, or fight a wave of nausea as someone proudly displays an asshole resembling the Grand Canyon. Note: Since Principal Skinner has already given most of the details of the DVD, my review is not highly detailed. I am merely going to offer my basic perceptions. So when you finally get that Corvette Stingray you have been dreaming about all these years, do you think you will paint it in white and black like a cow? Or how about coat it in astro terf? "Nightshift Nurses", the directorial debut of perhaps the best actor to ever work in adult, John Leslie, not only is a scorcher when it comes to the sex, but also makes great use of comedy, blues music, and filmmaking styles that Leslie would later use in the "Chameleon" and "Catwoman" movies. The film takes place during one night in a hospital. Lois Ayres plays the senior nurse who heads the other nurses, played by Bionca, Keisha, Sheena Horne, and Lynn Francis. John Leslie plays Dr. Grow, an insomniac who hates his job and would really like to be a professional harmonica player. Joey Silvera is an everyman who goes by the name of Idaho Moe and in his spare time pretends that he's a doctor. Peter North, Josey Duval, and D.J. Cone play various patients and Siobhan Hunter is a "sister" who is waiting for her brother to come out of surgery. One more character worth mentioning would be the black janitor, played by Steve Hennessy. While mopping a hallway, he overhears moans and goes into the room to investigate. [read the full review]

Nothing To Hide (NuTech) review summaries:
SDC's
Although not the best movie of the era, Nothing To Hide may well be the quintessential Golden Age Classic. If youve ever wanted to know what separates the Golden Age movies from contemporary classics then look no further. The movie revolves around the relationship between Jack (John Leslie) and his slow witted/ retarded buddy, Lenny (Richard Pacheco). Jack is a smooth talking ladies man who effortlessly moves from one conquest to the next. Lenny, on the other hand, has no luck with the ladies - despite Jacks constant promises to set him up. However, when Lenny falls for a similarly awkward girl Jack has to face the prospect of life without his buddy. If your exposure to porn is limited to contemporary product either feature or gonzo this is going to be quite a change of pace. Even the narrative driven couples porn of today is a fair distance from movies such as this. For a start the sex scenes are far shorter than would be acceptable today (which, from a story telling perspective at least, is no bad thing). [read the full review]

Director: Anthony Spinelli Writer: Michael Ellis Videographer: Jack Remy Running length: 97 minutes D.O.P. 1981 Female cast: Chelsea Manchester, Erica Boyer, Tigr, Misty Regan, Holly McCall, Liz Randolph, Raven Turner, Pat Manning Male cast: John Leslie, Richard Pacheco, Eric Stein, Anthony Spinelli Audio/Video: For being over 20 years old, the picture isn't bad at all. The audio suffers in just a few places, making the voices somewhat muffled, but in general it was very watchable. Much of it was filmed outdoors, yet wind noise was minimal. Extras: None Condoms: One, Richard Pacheco's scene The Movie: I liked Justine: Nothing To Hide 2 so well, I thought I'd check out the original that started the series. Come to find out, there's absolutely nothing that ties them together, and NTH #1 is actually the sequel to another classic, Talk Dirty To Me. Sounds confusing, but you need not see one to appreciate the other. I've seen very few of the 'classics' of porn, but I'm starting to appreciate them more. [read the full review]

Here is another porn film that follows the time-honored convention of parodying a mainstream movie or television show. Shot on a soundstage in San Francisco in 1982, the movie has the look and feel of the hit seventies and early 80s TV show, M*A*S*H. In fact, the overhead footage at the beginning of the film is the same outdoor set built for the mainstream show. Paul Thomas plays the Hawkeye character, called Jaybird, and Joey Silvera plays the Radar character. The female lead, hot hips Henderson, is played by Jessie St. James, who looks remarkably like hot lips Hoolihan. St. James does a remarkable acting job, and even seems to have some of Loretta Swits style and mannerisms. Unfortunately, this films close similarity to the show it is parodying is about the only thing it has going for it. The sex scenes are brief, a couple of them lack money shots, the women are average in the looks department, and the script is lame. [read the full review]

Distraught over dirty dreams, an innocent, God-fearing, young woman named Peaches (played by the big-busted brunette legend, Keisha) embarks upon a journey of self- (and sexual-) exploration that takes her on one hell of a wild (...and often awkward...) ride. Such is the case in "Pretty Peaches 3", a very good, 1989 release from acclaimed director, Alex deRenzy, and VCA. [read the full review]

Directed by Alex De Renzy, "Pretty Peaches 3" garnered much in the way of critical and popular acclaim when it was first released back in 1989. Now, over a decade later, the video holds up only middlingly well despite it's "classic' status. I am not at all sure if today's "XXX-Generation" (those who maintain a steady diet of Max Hardcore and Sodomania) videos will have the patience for it. Shot on film, the DVD is much sharper and has better colors than its original VHS incarnation. For an old-timer like me, it was great to see actresses like Rachel Ryan, Victoria Paris, Tianna and Keisha back in action, although their best work has yet to hit DVD.The movie follows Keisha "on a quest for spritual enlightenment," but her encounters are more physical than anything else. Despite the fashion period of that time, Keisha looks great in just about every scene she's in. However, for whatever reason, Director De Renzy has chosen to mute her sexual performance and the results are disappointing. [read the full review]

Why this is, I really can't say. The plot is flimsy at best, the sex is okay but undistinguished (aside from the multiple double penetrations [DP]), and Seka is just not star material in my book. But many people adore her. I admit she is very pretty but I cannot get past her cold demeanor and lack of acting ability. Still, it is one of the better-known films from its age and it does have its moments...and to her fans' delight (not mine) it has Seka. Whoopee! The film starts with George packing his suitcase and leaving his wedding band on the bed. [read the full review]

If you read down the list of credits for Caballero's Sleepless you'll find among the more familiar names a credit for Sarah Bellomo. Though she's buried among more recognizable actresses, she's the actual star of the movie. But that's not the secret. Sarah Bellomo is actually Roxanne Blaze, who like many pornstars, worked under a very temporary alias after first entering the business. That might not be news to some, but for many, Roxanne Blaze equals sex. She was not in the sex-for-entertainment business for very long, but while in front of the cameras Roxanne was placed upon a pedestal and considered by many to be the next big thing. Or, the only thing. The porn chosen one, even. Unfortunately, she didn't stick around very long, and the world is a little darker because of it. [read the full review]

Sorority Pink 2 is a well-done film with a college sorority theme. Although the sex is tame, the story is fun. I recommend this film to those who like a porn with a plot and don't mind tame sex. Those who dislike a plot or require nastier sex will probably want to avoid. When renting/purchasing this film you will probably wish to pick up Sorority Pink as well as the story is spread over both discs. Although the series continues on with Sorority Pink 3, Jim Holliday continued the story in Sorority Sex Kittens - Part 1 to continue on from the ending of this film. [read the full review]

The Plot: Whee! Lots of plot, lots of dialogue, and lots of characters. Ah, porn at it's finest. So what if we've seen the plot before? I'll bet you won't see it done as well for a long time. Our movie follows the adventures of Senator Ballworth, an obvious homage to the movie Bullworth (another excellent film, I must say), who is on a crusade against smut and porn. While on the way to a fundraiser, the esteemed senator decides to view one of her visual aides, a porno tape called Still Insatiable . The movie features a young couple who are in a sex booth performing for some actor with the wrong agent (heh). After arriving at the fundraiser, she reaffirms her commitment to the end of smut while her chauffer keeps the engine and internals warm in the parking lot (hey it got me hot, I suspect the engine block was nice and toasty). After doing the dog and pony show for the contributors, the senator goes home and decides to seduce the bodyguard. Quick tip, you probably aren't supposed to stay that close to your client. The path to music superstardom is fraught with users, losers, cutthroat competition, and, of course, plenty of hot, steamy sex, as a young country singer, Marilyn Chambers, quickly discovers. Fortunately for the beautiful adult legend, her smooth, seductive, and sultry style--coupled with her natural talents and street smarts--are enough to overcome any obstacle in her way. Such is the case in "Up 'N Coming", a very good, 1982 release from Godfrey Daniels and I-Candy. [read the full review]

Pre Viewing Expectations The case notes this is a classic porn release, and briefly describes the plot. Most of the space on the back is used to list the extras included on the disc, and what a list it is, right down to the Dolby 5.1 sound. I don't have a Dolby 5.1 setup, so I can't comment on this. Too bad the case tells one how to find the bonus photos, half of the fun would have been searching around the various menus looking for the hidden tag. The Main Event This is a golden classis from the early days of Porn. It was produced in the early 1980's and stars the one and only Marilyn Chambers. She brings her own energy to any movie she stars in, which is just as hot now as it was the day she shot it. This movie is no exception. There are eight scenes total, with Marilyn appearing in a majority of those. Many of the scenes show actions we take for granted today, but were virtually unheard of back then. [read the full review]

As much as I love iCandy and Marilyn Chambers, I have to admit that the sex is not the highlight of this DVD. Up n Coming is loaded with plot and (aside from Marilyn's enjoyable songs) bad country music. The movie script, the audio commentary and Marilyn are what make this DVD so great. I may be crazy, but Marilyn's body looks even better in this flick than in Insatiable. When she's rubbing herself in the shower, every muscle in her body flexes. This is really a stunning opener, even though it doesn't lead to anything.Plot The plot centers on the trials and tribulations of up and coming country music singer, Cassie Harland (Marilyn.) Cassie learns that PR equals giving good head and falling legends, Lisa DeLeeuw, don't take their loss of stardom lightly. The acting and character development are excellent. So good that you really don't want to see the mean Lisa get any good sex (though she does get a nice threesome with her studly thug and his girlie.)Sex A few sex scenes stand out. Films like this built the reputation of the "golden age" of adult, i.e., the years 1975 through 1982. This 1981 film is, of course, a spoof on the 1980 mainstream film "9 to 5" that starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman. In the adult version their parts are play by Loni Sanders, Annette Haven, Lisa DeLeew, and Herschel Savage. There's even a very nice theme song take-off on the famous Dolly Parton song that went with the mainstream movie. Plot and acting are superior to most seen today, and the sex scenes not only fit the plot, they advance the plot. Although the sex is by today's standards strictly couples fare, this is still a very hot movie and well worthwhile. Technically the disc is quite good, although the reverse angle gimmick was simply annoying. The video quality and audio are very good, given the age of the source material. [read the full review]

In a post-nuclear fallout world, what's left of humanity finds itself segregated into two camps--the rare "positives", who are still able to perform sexually, and the "negatives", who fall physically ill if they attempt to partake in even the slightest intimacy. Of course, life isn't roses for either group, as the "positives" are impressed into performing in shady dive bars filled with leering, creepy "negatives", and the "negatives" find themselves desperately yearning for that which they can't attain. Catwoman, The (VCA) review summaries:
Corey Thomas'
John Leslie's "The Catwoman", which marks one of his last, if not the last, of his sex roles is a moody, charged, and very erotic masterpiece that helped establish his directorial style. Kathleen Gentry stars as Jennifer, a photographer who is having problems with her boyfriend Stefan (played by Joey Silvera). While she is walking home from work, she has the feeling that she is being followed. She literally bumps into a stranger (Leslie), who invites her for a drink. As they talk, hints of sexuality echo out of their conversation. He offers to call her a cab, but instead she offers to walk him home. When they get inside Leslie's home, they get it on as soon as you can say "Bingo". This sex scene is especially charged and ranks as one of the all-time best, in my opinion. He rips off her clothes and passionately starts licking her body as she gives him an equally ferocious blowjob. They then start to fuck, with the two of them getting so much into it, that you can see Gentry's scratchmarks on his back. [read the full review]

Cast: Candy Apples, Tina Tyler, Bunny Bleu, Lauren Montgomery, Drew Andrews, Grant Woods, Vince Rockland, Dino D'Marco and Herschel Savage. Director and writer: Anthony Rose Production date: 4/25/98 (opening statement); 3/26/99 (box) Length: 84 min. Extras: Nine trailers, eight bonus scenes, a gallery with 20 photos from Curious, and an extra slide show with 40 unidentified photos. Audio/visual quality: The video quality is slightly inferior, though not to the point that the movie is unwatchable. The problems range from minor to moderately distracting; they include remnants, harsh lighting, shadows, grain, flickers, a moiré effect, jerkiness in the handheld camera and occasionally inexplicit angles. The good news is that the focus stays pretty sharp. The audio is okay and has a only few issues with hollowness, extraneous noises and maxed out vocals. The soundtrack is a generally pleasant mix of jazzy dance and chilled-out techno. [read the full review]

I actually purchased "Insatiable" more for the content of the extras (the commentary tracks, although unfortunately it turned out the one with Marilyn Chambers is not featured on this DVD release) than the feature itself although it was certainly an acceptable film with plot, acting, technically well done (like most films of the Golden Age), although I was a bit disappointed with the sole commentary tracks by Gloria Leonard (who does not appear in the film). Wow. Insatiable is the first classic porno Ive seen and it truly is classic. After watching this movie beginning to end (a porno rarity) I felt compelled to tell all of you how phenomenal it is. The increasing intensity portrayed so well by Marilyn Chambers mirrors the increasing intensity of a fist gripping, teeth clenching, heart pounding roll in the hay. The plot and the sex intermingle like a sensual story rather than a series of action sequences. Insatiable is more than a porno -its a finely constructed, very erotic movie (not to mention the groovin soundtrack.)The initial sex scenes arent even really sex scenes -lots pleasing and teasing, no cum shots. Marilyn does a lot of masturbating while fantasizing which grows increasingly passionate as the film progresses (culminating in an unbelievable scene with John Holmes -seeing him in action gives porn a whole new meaning.)The DVD quality is excellent. You can tell it is an old film by speckles here and there. But the image and the sound are both crisp. The audio commentary is interesting as are the bio and stills of Marilyn. [read the full review]

"Caligula", a very good, 1979 production from Penthouse Video and directors, Tinto Brass, Giancarlo Lui, and Bob Guccione, is something of a unique release in the world of "adult films" in that it is a true "mainstream" release, complete with big name stars and a big budget, that has added to it a number of hardcore inserts, which apparently weren't part of the original plan. Caligula is a mainstream film with graphic sex, not a typical adult film and that should be taken into consideration before purchasing or renting. If you are looking for a film to get stimulated by or get off on, this is not the film to do it. If the film sounds good to you and you are not squemish or easily offended I would recommend this film be rented before purchasing. Caligula is also available in an hour and 42 minute R-rated cut from Image as well, which has had 48 minutes removed from it. I have never seen the R-rated cut so I can't comment on it's continuity. Nightmare On Porn Street review summaries:

Trading in his iconic glove and sweater for a big dick and a trench coat, the pervy "Eddie" (Randy Spears) terrorizes a group of (adult) high school students by taking over their dreams...and fucking them. Indeed, the sex-obsessed janitor, who passed away tragically in a laboratory fire at the school, adopts various forms (himself, a teacher, a friend''s mother, and so on) as he invades his victims'' reverie and shows them a nightmarishly good time. The only way to win...and to keep from becoming oversexed and sleep-deprived? To beat him at his own game. So goes "Nightmare on Porn Street", a good, 1988 parody of the iconic horror flick of the same era and similar title from director Scotty Fox and Moonlight Entertainment. [read the full review]

The Danish Connection is the fifth entry in the Johnny Wadd series that doesn't fit in very well with the film canon. It was the first in the series not to be directed by Bob Chinn and is also the only softcore entry in the film series.
