Audio/Video: For being over 20 years old, the picture isn't bad at all. The audio suffers in just a few places, making the voices somewhat muffled, but in general it was very watchable. Much of it was filmed outdoors, yet wind noise was minimal.

I liked Justine: Nothing To Hide 2 so well, I thought I'd check out the original that started the series. Come to find out, there's absolutely nothing that ties them together, and NTH #1 is actually the sequel to another classic, Talk Dirty To Me. Sounds confusing, but you need not see one to appreciate the other.
I've seen very few of the 'classics' of porn, but I'm starting to appreciate them more. I do hope the purists and connisseurs of the genre will forgive my ignorance regarding the players and various other things, and perhaps email me with corrections or other helpful information, if they'd like.
This movie is different from any I have seen so far, and I actually paid attention to the plot. I'd heard of Leslie, but I'd never seen him. He and Richard Pacheco had kind of an X-rated buddy series going on, and were given top billing. This is quite a change from today's porn studs who some home viewers would rather not even see. Considering the limited number of attractive males in porn, and the way they are utilized as giant mechanical dildos, I can't say that I blame them. Then again, maybe it's BECAUSE of this aversion many porn viewers have that causes this. Whatever it is, it's taken some humanity out of the sex, as well as much of the heat, IMO. Not to mention any chance of a personality. What's wrong with seeing a good looking guy and girl having great sex? It doesn't make you queer for Christssakes. Anyhoo, that's another rant for another day, back to the movie -
Leslie plays Jack, a smooth-talkin pussyhound who's got more pick-up lines thanreviewerat last call, and a different girl every night.
His best friend Lenny is sweet, but a little slow and shy. Unlike Jack, he wants to find a true love, someone who will just accept him as he is. They have a philosophical talk one day about how afraid people are to say what's really on their mind. How things would be so much easier if people were just honest and upfront like Lenny, who is incapable of guile. Jack longs for a girlfriend from his past who used to call him an asshole. He never had to wonder what she REALLY thought, she flat-out told him, and had 'nothing to hide.' Lenny just longs for a girlfriend.
He eventually does meet a girl with the same childlike qualities he possesses, and they fall in love. They like climbing trees, playing in the park, and eventually playing Hide the Salami on her couch. They have no 'communication issues'. Lenny wants to marry her, and now it's Jack's turn to be jealous. Afraid of losing his little buddy, he even tries to talk him out of it, but Lenny's not THAT dumb, and proceeds with the wedding as planned.
Jack just goes through the motions with his sexual partners now, it takes more and more to get him excited. He's turned into kind of a dirtbag, and feeling dissatisfied with his life. In his last scene, he gets violently thrown out of one girl's house after coming on her face, despite his reassurances to her that " he wouldn't do such a thing".
Although this was filmed in 1981 before women discovered Mach III razors, the bush factor will not enter the equation - they all appear closely trimmed. None of them are knockouts looks-wise, but they all have natural breasts, and nice bodies without all the tattoos and piercings.
The females take a backseat, but they don't take it in the ass, either. In fact, it wasn't until the movie was over that it really hit me - there was no anal sex, no group sex, no DP's, no lesbian sex, no frenzied masturbating into-her-face finishes (except for that one scene, but that is integral to the story), and no buffer zone violations of any kind. Those of you who are still with me might be thinking 'WHAT? And you gave it 4.5 stars?
I realize this might not appeal to those who have cut their porn teeth on gangbangs and gonzo, but it was awarding winning in its day, so to judge it by today's standards wouldn't be right, and for me, it still works.
There is more realistic situations, more kissing, more reason for the sex, more sex where the guy actually talks to the female (more than just saying "suck it", etc), more real heat, more smiling during the sex act, more John Leslie, need I go on? Today's porn pounders should take lessons from this guy. My only complaint is the scenes were too short.
