Review:
The path to music superstardom is fraught with users, losers, cutthroat competition, and, of course, plenty of hot, steamy sex, as a young country singer, Marilyn Chambers, quickly discovers. Fortunately for the beautiful adult legend, her smooth, seductive, and sultry style--coupled with her natural talents and street smarts--are enough to overcome any obstacle in her way. Such is the case in "Up 'N Coming", a very good, 1982 release from Godfrey Daniels and I-Candy. Featuring the adult industry legend, Marilyn Chambers, both in top form and as a singer whose record company has opted to promote her in place of its failing, alcoholic, has-been star of yesteryear, Lisa DeLeeuw (another stunning industry legend in her own right), this flick offers up a heaping helping of subterfuge, chicanery, action, and--you guessed it--hot fucking. Indeed, wherever Marilyn turns, people are either trying to fuck her, fuck her over, or both. All of this is bolstered by a strong plot and solid acting, and it's quite difficult not to recommend this release to fans of features, Marilyn, and the classics. It's honestly very good. The only real drawback is that the plot makes a fairly large--and fairly abrupt--jump in time toward the end, which takes away from the flow that's developing. Regardless, this flick is engrossing and a lot of fun and certainly worthy of a watch.

In terms of the sex, Scene One offers up the gorgeous Marilyn Chambers taking a morning shower and giving herself a very light (and fairly brief) finger rub along the way. In Scene Two, Marilyn goes to bed with a record company exec, Herschel Savage, who's looking to make her the next big thing (oral, vaginal ; pop on her bush out of reverse-cowgirl). In Scene Three, the company "closer", Loni Sanders, who gets reluctant DJ's to play records on the air through any means necessary, practices her skills on Marc Wallace aboard Marilyn's tour bus (oral, vaginal ; she licks and jerks him to a load in her hand). Scene Four brings together Marilyn with a couple of former touring partners, Tom Byron and Steve Douglas, with whom she meets up on the road for a "good old days", fireside romp (oral--both, vaginal--both, anal--Byron ; she sucks and jerks Douglas to a cum-shot and takes one on the back from Byron). In Scene Five, Marilyn and Cody Nicole, a record company employee, get it on in one of Cody's fantasies after the pair has spent the day together in port and upon a yacht. The action takes place on a blue waterbed and involves fingers and tongues, including a bit of digital anal action for Ms. Chambers. Scene Six finds the formidable, fire-crotched Lisa DeLeeuw blowing off some steam (...and other things...) with her help, Ferris Weal and Tina Marie, after having a few drinks and receiving some frustrating news from the recording company (girl-girl, vaginal--DeLeeuw ; pop on DeLeeuw's bush). Scene Seven pairs up an arrogant--though influential--disc jockey, Richard Pacheco, who's seen Marilyn's singing act at a local club, and Ms. Chambers whilst they're in the studio. She's seductive and sultry in this one, and it's no wonder that Pacheco can't resist receiving a BJ from her, despite their romp being broadcast over the airwaves for all to hear (oral, titty-fuck ; no cum-shot, as Marilyn leaves the studio--and Pacheco hanging--part-way through). In Scene Eight, Marilyn, Lili Marlene, Richard Pacheco, John Holmes, and Herschel Savage all get it on in a celebratory orgy for a job well done (girl-girl, oral--both ladies, vaginal--Chambers with Holmes & Marlene with Savage, anal--Chambers with Holmes & Marlene with Savage, ; Lili jerks Pacheco to completion, Savage unloads on Lili's back, & Holmes pops on Marilyn's pussy and Lili's tongue). Hot stuff!
