When it comes to the AVN Awards and the porn parody category, it's pretty much a lock that Axel Braun will win. For the comic book nerds/geeks, he's pretty much taken the whole erotic fan fiction genre and brought it to life for our pleasure. And that aspect is where he really shines, although sometimes the sex scenes fall a little flat for me. It is wrong or unfair to want some explosive and energetic scenes no matter what genre it is, I do think that the Romi and Ramon scene was the standout and highlight for me. But when it comes to parodies, I think you are more interested in the story, set up and Easter eggs that lead up to the sex between some of your favorite characters. Some major kudos to Seth for his great Ryan Reynolds impression, a definite highlight, but I know Axel puts in some work determining who is going to be in his movies. In this one, he presents a tale that’s familiar to everyone and has been parodies before in adult. This is not so much a parody as a retelling of the tale. The claws pop and the costumes drop when Wolverine (Tommy Gunn) and company try to hunt down Wolvie's arch-rival, Sabretooth (Evan Stone), in "Wolverine XXX". A very good release from Axel Braun and Vivid, this flick features a cadre of characters parodying some of the more popular Marvel brands. Included are the likes of Rogue (Allie Haze), Spider-Man (Xander Corvus), Mariko Yashida (Asa Akira), and Phoenix (Andy San Dimas) to name but a few. This is obviously the most polarizing topic of this movie either you are going to like it, or your going to hate it. Think the same discussion for subtitled or dubbed versions of foreign movies. For me, being a big movie guy, I side on the B&W and subtitled side, so I am ok with this, just going to take a little getting used to. There are moments where it really enhances the scene, but also a few moments where the action is lost in shadows. The next big topic is Avi Love, who had gotten lots of buzz for her acting skills in this one, and perhaps has even been considered a muse by another director, whose last big muse was Remy Lacroix and they made some wonderful magic together. Every AVN season, you can pretty much guarantee that an Axel Braun parody is going to get lots of attention and nominations. He's been able to do some high end parodies so far, hitting all of the big franchises, and I believe it will continue this year with Deadpool? He goes the extra distance when it comes to the cast, and always seem to knock it out of the park with his choices, no one is going to deny how great of a job they all did, both male and female. Overall some good sex scenes to go along with the acting, but I am sure you have imagined plenty of naughty scenarios in your head or in your secret erotic fan fiction notebook. I will say that I can't decide if I like the way it ended, with a cliffhanger or perhaps would have liked to seen a big action or sex scene with the whole team before the movie ended. Much like Sex & the City might be described as a chick flick the Expendables was that for men with so much guns and fighting packed in plus you had so many action stars from the 80's and also Jason Statham who just oozes badass. Well Axel makes one big change which is obvious to anyone who is aware of this parody. He makes all the big roles female and he picks a fine cast led by Kimberly Kane who takes on the Sly role and Brooklyn Lee who gets to portray Jason Statham's character. This parody also tones down quite a bit on the violence and some of the character development we had for a couple roles in the Hollywood version, namely the Dolph Lundgren character and also to the Jet Li and Terry Crews roles. This version does stay fairly close to the source material but due to the shorter running time and the fact we need to see some fucking there are elements glossed over. A parody film from director Axel Braun who takes on the popular Christopher Reeve film Superman. I think most of us are familiar with the story presented in that film and Axel & crew do a nice job in this giving several nods to the original source material which you'll enjoy spotting throughout this production. Andy San Dimas shines in this as Lois Lane and as Margot Kidder was a strong character in that movie Andy matches that in this. Eric Masterson is Lex Luthor and he looks the part sure enough down to the bad hair pieces and polyester suits. This parody also brings General Zod and his two baddies into the mix in a bigger way actually doing some of the Superman II story- this leads to a great kneeling scene for the General and I'll let you find out who does the kneeling, lol. Not only does he do a great job writing and directing this one, but he also turns out some fantastic porn parodies of Elvis' songs. J. Jay does a good job as young Elvis, but Dale DaBone completely owns old Elvis. Here we get a porno take on the popular show on Fox, Glee. I must confess to not being an avid viewer of the show. I did manage to catch an episode on Hulu and felt this parody did a pretty good job of catching the spirit of the show. The porn actors in some cases here do a great job in resembling their mainstream counterparts in looks but also in singing ability, wait until you hear Andy San Dimas who plays Rachel- a pretty big role in the tv show and she pulls it off beautifully. Most of the tv characters get some action in this too except for Samone Taylor who plays Mercedes but I would bet in the next one she will. You have some fine alien poontang in this one with Sasha Grey and Jenna Haze playing a Vulcan and a horny space babe. Codi Carmichael is a federation nurse but damn she's a sexy site in the blue outfit-- the Trekkie outfits were pretty good in this, Aurora and Jada were visions in their red ones. The sex was strong in this with Jada and Aurora doing anal. There is an option on the extras disc to watch the movie with no sex- this takes just under 23 minutes so that means the sex is well over an hours worth. A good job overall in this endeavor I say. Sadly he drops the ball a bit here with one of the three scenes (namely Kylee King and Jamie Tyler's scene) not doing anything for me. Jay Lassiter does his normal solid job, but the only girl who really impressed me was Emma Cummings due to how much she looked to love sex and how much fun she was having throughout her scene. Axel does a very nice job keeping things loose and relaxed, but if you're only going to have three scenes with the movie lasting an hour and a half it better be tighter than a frog's pussy.
