The Short Story

Initial Expectations: With the exception of Will Ryder's work, Hustler has come close to killing the parody genre for me. That said, with Axel Braun earning a nomination for Best Parody Director from the XRCO and Evan Stone's ability to ham things up, I'm going into this one with a little hope.

Initial Reaction: It's almost painful at times, and not in the good way.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting porn where the movie is about the sex

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is fairly well balanced, but there's some noticeable background noises that make the movie feel a bit cheap. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks okay. The lighting is pretty good but the picture is a touch grainy.

Music: The music comes and goes, but normally has a very hard rock feel that just didn't work.

Menus: The main menu works together clips from the movie, a little animation and some of the boxcover for a good first impression. The chapter menu nicely lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the stars in each scene. There's also a “Select a Star” option that lets you choose a scene based on the name(s) of the girl(s) in each scene and a still.

The Feature

Unless you've lived in a cave the last few years, you've seen or heard of Mike Rowe and the Dirty Jobs show. In it, Mike goes around watching and helping in a variety of mess and dangerous jobs. Here, Evan Stone takes on Mike's role as he investigates jobs around the sex industry and beyond.

After suiting up for protection visiting the site of Hustler's Drill Baby Drill, Evan visits brunette Tanner who has a bottle of dirty and messy baby oil. This is a fun opening scene. Evan plays up the Dirty Jobs setup very well with Tanner doing a nice job as the little sexpot. I was surprised that there wasn't any anal or a good and messy facial with the messy setup and ass play in the scene, but there's still plenty of great chemistry with both Evan and Tanner putting out very nice energy. Tanner and Evan do a good job here, but Evan's hamming it up might annoy some.

When investigating a sex toy warehouse, Evan finds brunette April testing a toy on dirty blonde Madison. Evan moves in to help by testing a toy on Madison's mouth as April keeps fucking her, and then fucks her from behind with the toy as Madison fucks April with a toy. Evan has the girls suck each other's toy clean before stacking the girls up and fucking each girl with the other girl's toy. Finally, Evan takes a taste of one of the toys and tosses them aside.

This is an okay scene. The girls seem to be into each other very well, and having Evan work on them with the toys gave the scene a nice twist for what's basically a girl on girl scene. At the same time, his constant banter definitely held the scene back and took it from what could have been a pretty good scene and made it just an average scene instead. I wanted to like this one, but it just didn't work for me.

As Evan works around a bathroom, bottle blonde McKenzee sucks Cyrus' cock in the next stall. She eagerly keeps sucking his cock on a bench outside the stall as Evan moves inside to mop before riding him cowgirl style and letting him take her from behind. This is another okay scene. McKenzee and Cyrus give the scene a good and dirty feel with the bathroom sex, and put out some nice energy and vocals. Once again, however, Evan moves in to the point that he holds the sex back and takes it from being a decent scene and instead makes it a barely average scene. This scene just didn't quite click for me.

After Billy shovels shit with Evan on the farm, he leaves Evan with the shit as he gets his cock sucked by Carmen. Billy tongues her holes in return before fucking her doggie and reverse cowgirl style with Carmen mixing in a bit more oral action. She also rides him cowgirl style and lets him take her missionary style before he pops in front of her face with most of the cum missing her face.

This is another okay scene. Carmen and Billy look like they're having fun, but once again Evan distracts from the scene. The camera work seems very limited and has all of the enthusiasm and motion of a cheap tripod on a windy day, but thankfully it has a little more control than that. This is another scene that just didn't do that much for me.

After pulling some tree limbs up a hill, Evan finds his helper Dane getting his wood worked on by brunette Tiffany. She rides him in each of the cowgirls with a little oral action mixed in, and then lets Dane spoon her. Finally, Dane pulls out and pops on her pussy before giving her a few more pumps.

This is yet another average at best scene. Thankfully Evan doesn't show up quite as much here, but he still shows up enough to detract from the scene. The camera work is still lethargic and lazy, and by the time the scene was done I was happy it and the movie was. Once again, this scene just didn't do it.

This Ain't Dirty Jobs XXX is one of those ideas that sounds great on paper but doesn't quite work in reality. Evan Stone seems perfect to play Mike Rowe, and with each situation it seems like he's pretty much making it up as he goes which he normally does very well. Unfortunately, Evan never seems to realize that This Ain't Dirty Jobs XXX is as much about the XXX part as it is the Dirty Jobs part. He continually butts into each scene and distracts from the sex in virtually every scene. The blame doesn't completely go on Evan hamming it up, as the camera even pans away from the fucking and sucking in some of the scene to focus on Evan's face as he yaps about the setup or just to show him doing something in the background. Not only is this about all the camera ever moves, but it also made the sex less than memorable. With each additional scene I kept hoping that each scene would be shorter so the movie would be done quicker. Taken one scene every week or so This Ain't Dirty Jobs XXX might be amusing and kind of hot, but watching it as a full movie it was annoying, far from sexy, and almost painful (but not in the good way).

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for six other Hustler releases. The photo gallery lasts a little under five minutes with about five seconds per still. There's also a behind the scenes featurette and, since this is a Hustler release, plenty of commercials.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts nearly a half hour. Tanner starts out talking about getting dirty and sex as well as sharing a couple stories about herself. Madison is next, who talks about how wild she is off camera before April talks about her ho outfit and liking girls. McKenzee talks about traveling to work, country music, and a couple personal stories before Cyrus joins in on their talk. Carmen talks about Billy, big cocks, and pleasing two guys at once before Tiffany talks about being old enough to smoke, how dirty she is, and working constantly as well as showing off a bit. This is a nice little featurette. You get some good personality from each of the girls as well as a little eye candy. This is a nice addition to the overall DVD.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Hustler’s DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and $25 with stores offering it everywhere in between. Rent this one before you ever think about paying that much for this one. The movie gets very old very quick and for a change Evan Stone becomes a liability rather than an asset to the movie. The technical aspects are okay, but the extras show some decent effort with a nice behind the scenes featurette. This is an annoying movie on a DVD that shows some decent effort.

Note to Hustler: Although the movie did nothing for me, it was nice to see you putting some good effort into your behind the scenes featurette.
